Enjoyed a delicious dinner on a recent trip to the area at Soi Bistro. We stopped by on a Saturday evening and were happily able to be seated straight away (though those that came it a bit later were faced with a wait--it filled up quickly!). We started off with bowls of miso soup, which was comforting and warmly flavorful on the rainy evening we stopped by. For our entree, we shared the chef's choice sushi and sashimi. Both were astounding. The fish was beautifully fresh and the chef's selections were varied. There was nothing we didn't enjoy. Our server was kind enough to ask if we liked certain things that can be iffy for some folks to ensure we didn't get anything we didn't like in the chef's choice (we like everything so no issue there for us). The service was kind. The dining room was comfortable and the prices were reasonable. Get to it!

This place was great! It's a small little place with really fresh sushi which is exactly what we were looking for. Our server was nice and overall the food came out quick. The Cookie Monster roll and the Gyoza were both phenomenal. Next time we are down in Florida we'll go again.

Gyoza

Katsu Curry and Pork Gyozawas incredibly good. Hard to find a good Japanese curry in this area but they are about as close as you can get. Goyza was perfectly fried and tasty. Teriyaki was smokey and nice seeet flavors. Worth a shot. Will try more.

Good Life Roll and Poke Bowl

My family was very pleasantly surprised. The establishment doesn't look like much from the outside, but the food was excellent! The service was good, and restaurant interior was fine. Mentaiko fries - tasted good but overpriced. The torching of the dish elevated the flavor, so I may try that more at home when making fries. The dish came out hot. Agedashi tofu - I liked it but my family thought it was too gingery. Also the consistency of the tofu was not as silky as I expected. Still a tasty dish. Seafood Journey Cakes - loved the taste but a bit too small for the price. Poke Bowl - great mix of ingredients and flavors. I wish they served more fish in the bowl. Good Life Roll - highly recommended. I loved it. Overall, this place is definitely worth a try. I would go back next time I'm in Destin.

This is one of our favorite places. Udon soup, tempura veggies, and sushi is always delicious. And the staff is very friendly.

My best friend highly recommended this place and stopped by while I was in town. It's a small, quaint little restaurant- but don't let that fool you- it's incredible!! We had no wait (but I've heard it's busy in busy seasons). Sat down as soon as we got in, we were greeted very quickly, very quick and kind service. The food was great. Large portions and good prices. Check it out while in town if you're craving sushi or curry!

Was referred to Soi Bistro and it was so good! I all ready know I will be visiting again and trying more rolls! The five of us this time all enjoyed our meals. No one had complaints and we all know we'll make a trip back. The surf n turf roll is one I haven't seen at other sushi places I've been too and I loved it. The volcano roll was delicious and flavorful. The Korean fried chicken is great, good size wings and flavor! There is a decent amount of seating, and the service was pleasant. Highly recommend!

First time visiting Soi. Extensive menu - makes choices a challenge but finally our group decided. Had several items that were fresh and delicious. Yakisoba, ginger salad, egg rolls, shrimp tempura, and several rolls - Kracken, salmon Belly, Half Baked and Bombastic and some Nigiri surf clam, octopus and conch. Service was fast and friendly. Highly recommend and prices competitive. Enjoy !

DYM (not on the menu) because the sushi connoisseur made special request from the DOM that's on the menu... suggest putting it back on!

Family of 3 ate dinner on a Sunday. We were seated immediately at about 5pm and they became really busy but the waitress remained attentive and cool the entire time. Another person made sure we had drinks filled and any other needs. The place is quaint yet city sleek and dark.

Stopped by Soi Bistro with a group of 4 at open on Sunday a few weekends ago while I was visiting Ft. Walton for a wedding; one of the other guests had mentioned that this place looked good when she was searching for dinner options the previous night, so we decided to swing by! I'm really glad we did. Our table ordered truffle takoyaki (limited time/seasonal item) and the mentaiko fries to share; both were very tasty, especially the fries. They don't skimp on mentaiko! I ended up ordering a salmon skin roll, the yellowtail jalapeno sashimi, and an assortment of nigiri for myself. The salmon skin roll was alright, nothing to write home about, and the sushi rice wasn't really flavored enough for my tastes, but the fish is super fresh here. I loved the yellowtail sashimi a lot, and the flavors of the accompaniments were excellent. And the ikura and salmon nigiri in particular were delicious. A very solid Japanese spot for those who are looking for that kind of thing in the area!

Delivered Fried Rice! Huge portion for only $5.75 on doordash

Soi Bistro in Fort Walton Beach is MY FAV LOCAL RESTAURANT! Always and I mean ALWAYS consistent with their food, incredible customer service, and great vibes in the restaurant! I am never disappointed dining in and ordering via doordash. The food is so so so freaking delicious. Double Dragon roll is crunchy and my favorite! Blazin Asian roll is a simple yet spicy and refreshing roll. Vegetable Udon (noodles) is satisfying for when you're craving warmth! (The beef udon is super salty, so I recommend vegetable.) Fried Rice (Hibachi style and sooo good!) Hwaedupbap Tuna Salad If you come in, Kate, also known as Shampoo , and Misa are super nice! They are so Personable and really add to the environment! I literally LOVE Kate!!!

Great food and service! I usually read reviews before going somewhere. As a sushi fan I have it a shot and was not disappointed. Rangoons were good, but the peach sauce they were in made them great. Very different but real good. Had a dragon roll and boss in Asian roll. Both were very good. Will definitely be back next time I am traveling through.

Top: half baked. Middle: Cobra Kai. Bottom: Truffle Maker.

YUM! Lots of options for sushi rolls. Had about 5ish sushi rollers. Clean modern inside. Rolls were fresh. We would definitely recommend the Half Baked and Cobra Kai. Also had the truffle maker it was good and had a smoked flavor to it. Still good but would try something new next time.

Anyone know if I can get kimbob here?

They do not offer Kimbob, but their sushi rolls are delicious here! They also offer other traditional Korean dishes with a modern twist.

As for the sushi it was fresh & delicious. I really enjoyed the food I got from here and I would eat here again if I can back in town. This review really is between 3-4 stars but the reason I'm going with 3 is because the way they seat you is pretty confusing & inefficient. You have to order prior to being seated which cramps the entrance and slows down people trying to pick up a to-go order. Which that being said.. I WOULD 100% recommend this place to anyone into looking for a good dinner.

Since my first visit, the smiles throughout all the staff made me feel so welcome, even at- home like. Very kind, very attentive, and again, very smiley! When I arrive, I can always expect something new for the month. Their monthly specials include ranges of sushi, entrees, and appetizers. The creative excellence always makes trying something new an easy 'Yes!' The hot green tea is very calming for the cold days and the sakes always warm you up in the right places. Today, I had hot green tea, miso soup, a sake flight, and a January special: The Dynasty Surf Roll. The miso soup and hot tea are consistent with tradition but the special was a culinary rockstar. It had steak, cream cheese, avocado, mixed ceviche, masago, with these crunch chips topped with spicy mayo and eel sauce. Can you say "Happy New Year!" . It was so flavorful. The mix of textures was complex but worked great with the ceviche and steak. I was pretty impressed. Not only does it look artistic, it taste like a masterpiece. If we can have this January special all year, I'd definitely add it to my go-to list. At Motto's, I believe the sushi is the star of their show. They do have bento boxes and kitchen entrees, but the sushi is unmatched. If you visit, I recommend exploring the sushi menu and trying their specialty drinks like the milk and fruit teas. The sake options also give range to their menu, with not only flights but dozens of sake and wine options. If you ask me, sushi, sake, and smiles keeps this restaurant dear to my heart. I'll definitely be back next month for the February specials, but truly, the sushi keeps me coming back much sooner. See you next flight!

The first time the waitress was exceptional and asked us if we wanted chop sticks, which we did. The second time was around 4:30 on New Years Eve. They were closing early that night for a private party. There was only one waitress and service was slower but still exceptable. 3rd time had the same sweet waitress (Jam) as the first time. They seem to get as many takeout orders as sit in and the bar was full-all seats taken. Here is the food review: Appetizers: Bang Bang Chicken is lightly breaded with an amazing sauce. We have ordered this twice. Gyoza is a fried dumpling. We had ordered these the second time we were here because they were out of the steamed pork dumplings. They are good but we prefer the steamed pork dumplings which we have had twice. Their sauce is awesome. On our 3rd visit we wanted to try something different and ordered the seafood wonton. We are happy we did because they were the best we have ever had. The wonton is light and crispy with ample filling of seafood and cream cheese. Mains: Grilled Chicken sandwich-light and tasty with a side of cole slaw just like grandma made and lightly breaded onion rings that were not greasy. Delicious. SuKiYaKi Noodle Soup- had this with chicken and spice level hot. The soup is mild but the hit level is very spicy. Pad Thai- one chicken and two combos were tried. I order the medium level which is plenty spicy for me. My husband orders hot and sometimes it is a tad spicer than other restaurants we have tried. They even have a Thai hot and one more level. The Pad Thai was delicious on all accounts and a step above to other places we have tried. Drunken noodle-a delicious meal Pepper steak: Was delicious even without the peppers. After a few bites I noticed that there were not any sweet peppers in the dish. I mentioned it to the waitress and she came back with a bowel of stir fried peppers to add to my dish. The beef was tender and good quality. Yellow Curry-this dish was enjoyed and the blend of coconut and pineapple was delicious. We have also enjoyed the iced Thai tea. We believe we have found our fave Thai restaurant. It is similar to our previous fave in food but this restaurant has a better ambience.
