Hadashi is a great place to dine when staying st the Hilton. They have a lot of seating options and it's a great place if you want to watch a game on tv as they have a MASSIVE screen. The staff are all exceptional. Friendly. Attentive! The works! The cocktails are good but the real deal is a bottle of the house hot sake for only $30! I tried two sushi rolls. The ultimate spicy tuna was fantastic. The yellowtail roll was a let down. It was so tiny for $17! I would recommend spicy tuna but skip the yellowtail. My spouse got the wings and he liked them. They were a great size and plenty spicy. We also shared the edamame which was excellent. The miso soup is pricey but EXCELLENT and packed with flavor. I definitely recommend this place! read more

Staying at the Hilton and went down and I was only one at the Sushi bar. Placed an order and the chef Kim looked at me like was a nobody. Zero personality!!! The waitress took my order and then told me it would be 40 minutes!!!! Okay I will wait. Then she came back to the Sushi bar and asked Chef Kim a request from one of the customers. He flat out said NO !! Well as I sat there for a couple of minutes I told the waitress right there in front Chef Kim, cancel my order and looked right at him. Sushi here was fresh and delicious. Pricy though but for a resort hotel it was expected. When we got to the bar to order our sushi,we asked the bartender if the white bottle was what they considered a "sake bottle" she said yes. Some places do consider that size a large. We thought $30 for that, ok. That bartender switched out with a new bartender during shift change and the new bartender stated that "our bottle" was in the heater. I cannot say enough good things about this place! It seems very underrated being inside of the Hilton but this place was one of the highlights of our 6-night stay. We had dinner at Sandcastles mid trip and since you can also order from the Hadashi menu, we had one roll and an order of nigiri as an appetizer. We immediately knew we needed to do a sushi only night so we planned it for the last night on my birthday. It did not disappoint. Two sushi chefs cranking out some of the freshest and tastiest sushi we've ever had! And we eat a lot of sushi. I don't usually eat wasabi and use the ginger, but this place converted me. The pink lady roll was probably my favorite along with the bluefin nigiri. We also had the shaggy dog, wild spider, and sun kissed which were all delicious! Those crunchies are something special! Not just your usual tempura flakes. Can't wait to come back! Quick note on service - it can be pretty slow or maybe they were just short staffed the week we were there (mid-August, end of their busy season?) - but do not let it scare you from trying this food! Lastly, note that the servers do not tip share with the sushi chefs (I guess since they also serve from the Sandcastles kitchen) so we tipped both separately. Avoid this place if you want edible food! The sushi was gross. The fish was not fresh. Truly shocking because this is in a hotel that is on the beach. Grocery store sushi is better than what we got. I will never return here because I'm so grossed out. read more

Inside of the Hilton Sandestin, we ordered the Cowboy beef roll and it did not disappoint!

This restaurant was located in the main lobby area of the Hilton Sandestin Gold and Beach Resort. It is quite convenient to have a place to go to eat within the hotel. Restaurants aren't very far down the strip, but this is probably the easiest to get to. Food looked appetizing, but I just stuck with some edamame and drinks at the high top tables. Comfortable seating, friendly service, fair prices (especially for a hotel bar), and LARGE televisions in front of some lounge furniture. Also, I tried a drink here that I had never seen anywhere else: Schöfferhofer Hefeweizen Grapefruit Bier! It was light, fruity, and very refreshing. Loved it! Now I have to go find it at home. Will probably be back here the next time I'm in the area, and I'm good with that! read more

Why 1 star? Second time I've come in here and gotten not-so-fresh sushi. I ordered a yellowfin roll and a spidercrab roll. Spidercrab was overfried or fried in not fresh oil and the last two pieces of yellowfin tasted like the fish was almost turned...Not good at all. Options are limited in the Hilton and this place could be WAY better. They have everything to make it good, but meh... Publix has better sushi than this. So no stars for the food and one star for the service. When you're staying at the beach where they could source local fish FRESH and at a resort there is no excuse for this badness. I've given this place two times over the past 6 months. They won't get a third. I come to Sandestin at least once every 2 months. read more

Dropped in here while on vacation and was quite disappointed. I'd expect sushi fish to be of a decent grade when on the coast of Florida, but this was some of the worst fish I've ever had. We had rolls with salmon, tuna, and yellowtail and all of them tasted off. The veggie roll even tasted funky. While the fish was subpar, the service was at least good. We tried 6 different types of traditional nigiri sushi, a California roll, and a hamachi roll. The tako was absolutely terrible, not fresh at all. We couldn't even finish it. The salmon, usually a safe bet in the U. S., didn't taste fresh either. The rest was barely passable. The rice had too much vinegar. My mom and dad and I stayed at the Hilton Sandestin (which was awesome) and on our last night we decided to eat at Hadashi. It was soooooo good. We had the Shaggy Dog, the Rainbow, and the Volcano rolls. My mom had the cold noddle bowl and loved it. One thing - we all love Poke, and we were so excited to see it on the menu... but unfortunately it was too spicy. Now, we are from south Louisiana and are used to a good amount of spice, but we each took two bites and couldn't eat any more. However, the manager and our waitress were very understanding and wonderful and took it off our bill. Just something to be aware of. The only reason to go to this restaurant is if you are staying at the Hilton. The restaurant was confusing to find, we stood around for quite a while waiting for someone to seat us, then ended up sitting in the breakfast buffet area.
