Rum Runners was a fun place to come here for drinks. My friends and I came here one night last weekend. They have a huge selection of frozen drinks. I chose the Miami Vice. Very sweet and refreshing! They have an outdoor patio, indoor seating and like a DJ/dance floor atmosphere upstairs. There were a few local artists I believe taking song requests and playing the piano. read more

Really fun starting at 8 pm with the dueling pianos. Gets busy after 9. I say go early. Cool bartenders... they work hard. Wings are great. Kinda hooked on them. The pasta wasn't good. Super saucy ands cheesy and noodles tasted old/reheated. I did come in minutes after they opened. Fun place though! Check it out for a fun night in the area. read more

This place is great. It's open late and has a very fun positive crowd and the people that work there are equally nice

The service was slow but also short on staff so I'll give it to em. The veiw was amazing the ocene and genial ambiance was great. And the food was fine I got so presal bites. read more

Had a great experience here last night. Host was super friendly and cooperative. Wait staff was very efficient and attentive. Food was the best we've had and portions were beyond manageable. Piano entertainment was fun. Very good experience. read more

After my family of five walked out of a nearby restaurant due to poor service, we headed straight to Rum Runners. At first, I was unsure what to expect, as the host was chatting with two younger coworkers when we arrived -- especially after the bad experience we had just had. But we decided to give it a try, and I'm glad we did. The host was polite and seated us immediately with no wait. Our server acknowledged us right away and brought glasses of water for everyone as soon as we sat down. The food was excellent, and the customer service was just as good. Highly recommend Rum Runners for great food and friendly, efficient service. read more

Our server was Trey and he was great. I ordered a margarita, salad, and hush puppies. I wasn't a fan of the margarita. It tasted sugar free without any liquor. I also tried their signature rum runner which was better. The salad was really good and so were the hush puppies. The vibe inside was super chill. The sign said live piano music at night. read more

Fast friendly service. Excellent burger, my wife's salad was very good and huge. We asked for glasses of water, they brought us bottles for $2 each. We sat outside on the covered deck. Beware of the very bold squirrels. They scamper around your feet and will jump on the tables. Gross! read more

Super fun atmosphere on a weeknight with live music. We were walking by and heard the music and decided to check it out. We highly enjoyed sitting and listening to the singer play the piano and accept song requests on Venmo! They only serve bottled water for a fee and not tap water. The fried fish was really tough and chewy but the French fries were pretty good. My friend said her fried fish sandwich was decent, and I enjoyed my coconut fried shrimp. I would come here for the music and cocktails but not for the food. read more

Duelling pianos were awesome. Very fun atmosphere and tasty drinks. We had the best time here.

Inside is great! Manager is awful. One of the bouncer was trying to talk to me very nicely. Manager couldn't stand that I wanted to hear what the bouncer said over him. I honestly think it was a race thing or a height thing. I live near by but will encourage friends never to go there. The only reason the manager! He is the one that's way too old to have a pony tail. read more

For food, we just had a rum runner chicken quesadilla but it was excellent! The quesadilla was loaded with perfectly cooked chicken. The service was wonderful. We enjoyed the laid back ambiance. The signature drink, rum runner, was delicious. It checked all the boxes. My husband enjoyed his bushwhacker. The prices were reasonable considering this is a tourist destination. We definitely recommend this place and plan to return! read more

Juval was such an amazing server - personable, gave the best recommendations, and was super on top of everything! The bad reviews threw us off but all of the other restaurants were closed so we took a chance at Rum Runners. The food was actually really good - the bad reviews are from drunk people getting kicked out (and we saw it happen too). We looked at the reviews and it was all people complaining about the bouncers. We were so impressed with Juval + the food and sad to leave! We will absolutely be back on our trip. Worth the visit read more

We had a large table, the guy was very nice and very friendly. He actually made the experience more fun. The pianos were very cool to see, we will come back for sure. Drinks were good, we also had the buffalo shrimp which I would recommend. read more

The service. Great people. Need way better dueling piano players that have a wide range. The current guys do not at all.... Could tune up their cocktail menu as well. read more

Wanted to try a restaurant that had some live entertainment. Piano bar.....guy who played was awesome, his ability to play all types of music was unreal. Service was great as well. Server was quick, responded right away and even cracked a few jokes which made it fun....but the reason for only giving them a 3 star was the wagyu burger wasn't very good. Tasted burnt, not charred but burnt....like a burger you would get after some dad cooked some burgers at a youth sporting event. Everyone else seemed happy but I didn't taste anything else. I will definitely try again but I won't be getting that item. read more

Love this place! The food is always excellent and as a previous local, we always visit when we come back!

Fun late night out activity. They are very talented and do a great job. Would have loved to see some female talent in the mix as some of the songs requested were not in the male vocal range but overall they made due with what they had and it was still a lot of fun. The place becomes 21+ after 10pm. The drinks were good, we did not get to try the food. read more

Because my friend was drunk and threw up I helped her to get picked up, but went back to get a beer and they declined me service because they thought I was on her level but very clearly much on a more sober level. I'm writing this as I sit at the bar , unfortunately those with ADHD will be declined service due to be accused of being drunk ?? Sorry I have a lot of energy due to who I am , but this is quite frankly ridiculous. Just because I am in the same friend group with someone drunk and get flustered around someone cute doesn't mean I'm drunk , it's kinda ridiculous. read more

Alright, let me start with this: I realize I'm captive on vacation at Baytown Wharf, but this was ridiculous. The Good: server was very friendly and attentive, though we went at 4:30 and it was not busy The Great: nice music with classic hits, and very talented without being too loud. Enjoyed the music. The Bad: food was very slow. We had a party of 3 (2 adults and a child), the restaurant was less than 20% occupied, and it still took 55 minutes to get our food. That's not right. At all. The Ugly: the value here is embarrassing. We ordered fish of the day basket (1 small piece of fish, estimated at 4oz, a crap ton of fries, and watery slaw that was served in a condiment sauce cup. Thanks you keep that. That was $34. I'm sorry what? My wife ordered fish of the day sandwich- same thing. Small fish, covered in 5,000 French fries to fill up the basket. $29. Here is my favorite. We asked for waters all around after a long day in the hot Sun. We get 3 bottles of Dasani. We look around and every table is the same. Water bottles are $3 each. My child got a small hamburger kids meal and thought it was fine but nothing special. For 3 of us, getting baskets of fries basically... $95. Baytowne Wharf is like a run down Six Flags. All restaurants we've eaten at there are poor quality food, over priced, but you are captive because of the good music and nice views. A place like this in Dayton OH would never survive on such bad value, slow service, and deceptive $3 water bottles. read more

We've visited here many times for drinks and entertainment but have only eaten here once. When we were here it was for lunch, which is slow, so service was great and food was as expected. Nothing crazy to rave about but satisfied my family with no issues. Typically, we stroll in after dinner elsewhere for drinks and to hang out and sing along with the live music, dueling pianos or whoever else happens to be playing. The bartenders all mean business and serve you and move on. I like it, they take care of me and leave me be small talk with everyone else around. We've seen many bachelor/bachelorette parties come through and have a great time. The later you come they eventually turn it into 21+. You have to try the Bushwhacker with a shot of screwball. It's like dessert in a cup. Like ice cream with peanut butter topping. Sooo good and worth the visit just to get one of those. I dislike the extra cover charge on certain nights and feel the prices are a little higher but otherwise it's a fun place to hang out with adults in Baytowne. read more

Piano players just steal money via Venmo Take requests but don't play the songs. Play the crowd it's typical but pretty unnecessary and short sighted if you're actually trying to make money. read more

The pins coladas are amazing! I also love that they have drinks to go that we could easily take back to our rooms!

Service was absolute horseshit. Do not go here the bartender was extremely rude to me and my family of 4 with 2 young children. Service was very lazy and my food took an extremely long time to come in. The bartender continued to cuss people out and you should not give them your money or spend your time there!!!! read more

Food was good. Service was subpar. Yes it was busy and I allow for that. I've been in the business for over 30 years but to wait 25 min between visits from server is ridiculous. Then she dropped check at 10:02 and came back 30 min later. I've never ever not tipped but this time I left without tipping. I would have left you more than some of them inside ordering 1 beer at a time. Taylor was our server. Sorry Taylor!! Maybe focus on the ones spending than the 1 drink at a time. If I were younger it would be a fun place but your band was way off key. The thought of getting paid to play is song is brilliant. Maybe I'll tell our bands that to offset our cost. Or maybe not. read more

We sat down at a DECENT looking establishment, if that's even what you call it. While our server was great! The manager along with head bartender have completely lost it, I mean off their rockers. Ordering strawberry daiquiris was like going on a quest to find gold in the Amazon rain forest. Telling my family they have fake ids... the nerve, won't even scan our ids to check. Moving on to the food, let's go down the list. Blackened chicken Alfredo/ blackened shrimp Alfredo. The chicken/shrimp was burnt to pieces that tasted like coal. The noodles were soggier than sitting on a wet towel on a picnic. And if you are thinking about ordering a chicken sandwich, or to be honest any sandwich! Order 2! They cut the meat in half I think because they think you're "fat". They claim they upcharge because they need to pay the rent... didn't realize Trumps tariffs hit American chicken and grouper. That's news. All in all, terrible shack of a restaurant. If you go please spit in the bartenders face and walk out with his tip jar. Cheers! read more

this review is for drinks/entertainment only. we did not get food. rum runners is super fun for their dueling piano bar. every single night from 8 pm to about midnight or 1 am, they have dueling pianos & the place gets super energetic (& drunk). the drinks are really good! i got the killer colada which is a frozen piña colada & i added a rum floater. the second drink i got was the bushwhacker with a skrewball peanut butter floater - amazingggg. my mom got the strawberry daiquiri which she liked & the raspberry martini which was pretty sweet. i can't say anything about the food, but we would definitely come back for the drinks & entertainment. read more

Great service. Fun atmosphere. Good food. Hawaiian chicken sandwich was fabulous! Definitely will return!

Dueling pianos is great, but do yourself a favor. Do not request any songs and pay these clowns any money. They will not play your song! They have a great scam going on! They keep asking for request and your cash, but will not and can not play all the songs they take in! So you will donate to these f-big scammers read more

The dueling pianos were cool but the overcooked fish... not so much. The fish was hard and rubbery and DRY! The grouper sandwich wasn't good either. Tiny piece of thin fish, overcooked and unrecognizable. Served on a huge bun. Tasted like an old "mayo sandwich" that you might remember as a kid. The Buffalo shrimp appetizer was good however. read more

This place continues to go down hill which is a real shame. Hit there for drinks and food but didn't get past the drinks. No draft beers, bottled water only and the cocktails were not great. Didn't want to trust the food based on the drinks which is a shame as the burgers used to be fantastic. read more

Nice area. We went for the dueling pianos. It isn't dueling pianos. There are two piano players leading a band in cover songs. Not the traditional each tops the other in jokes and joke songs. It's just the cover band. Buffalo shrimp app was good. Except the shrimp weren't cleaned well so there was shell in spots. The drinks were ok, nothing special. I got the crab cake dinner. Flavorless and soggy crab cakes. Wife got the mahi mahi basket. She said it was decent. $100 before tip for two drinks and dinners was too much for the quality. read more

The food is okay. The drinks are good. The atmosphere is awesome! We love going to the piano bar when we are in Destin/Miramar.

I had a terrible experience. The man behind the bar was extremely rude and kicked us out and also made a scene for the bachelorette party. I would recommend McDonald's over this place. read more

Such a fun experience. Came with our older kids one evening and really enjoyed the dueling pianos. Food was mediocre.

This place is honestly one of the most mediocre experiences I've had in recent years. From the service, to the music volume, to the food quality it was all frankly below average. The hostess didn't begin the experience very well, in that she was quite rude from the jump - the waiter we had was great but everyone else wasn't. We sat down and ordered, then proceeded to try and converse over the insanely loud, ear ringing live music for what seemed like an eternity. The artist was great, but the volume was ridiculous. After our literal hour plus wait for food, it came looking like they'd just warmed up a microwave meal and served it on a plate. I got a grilled Mahi-Mahi sandwich and the fish was so hard, small, and rubbery I could've given it to the singer to pick his guitar with and it woulda worked just fine. This place excuses it's extremely long wait time on the fact they are a small team and work on "island time" i.e. "shut up and accept the bad service and then be fine with plastic, overpriced food." Rum Runners is a fitting name, cause you'll likely need lots of it to fully enjoy yourself. read more
