The coffee is excellent! This is the real deal...best I've had at a coffee shop in recent memory.

Very groovy baby. I loved yhis place when I loved in Edmonton. I'd drive here to sightsee and drop in for coffee. I was amazed at the red crema on my coffee. Superb flavors. I didn't have a fade or a soul patch but I managed to communicate with the villagers who worked there. We used signs and grunts given how little street cred I had at 60. I used to drive from Edmonton. A woman once worked here with the most amazing tattoo work everywhere. Very groovy. read more

We went to this location at 3:00pm on a Tuesday and discovered it was closing down. But they suggested we go to their Riverfront location - which we did. Very good coffee. Friendly service. Reasonable prices. We'd check it out again. read more

My husband and I were in Red Deer for a conference and are always looking for local coffee spots when we travel. We came across Dose and were so excited to check it out! What a gorgeous little place! The espresso we had was roasted by Phil&Sebastians, the barista was very skilled and served our shots with a vat of water. It was such a nice touch! I also had a cacao turmeric latte which was super tasty and warming :) This is definitely a must visit place if your in Red Deer or just passing through! read more

This really is the best coffee in Red Deer. Please do yourself a favor and stop in on your way to Edmonton or Calgary. I've had their flat white, and it's exactly how it should taste, heavy on the coffee, light on the milk. Recently I tried their mocha and it was amazing! It actually taste more like an Ovaltine mocha, if you can imagine that. It's definitely pricey ($7 for a large, $6 for a regular) but worth it! The place is cute, with quite a bit of room for a cafe. My coworkers had sandwiches and they looked delicious too. Definitely will try one next time I'm in the shop- which will be on my way back home! read more

If you're from Calgary you know how great Phil & Sebastian coffee is, and if you're from Edmonton you probably know about Trancend. At Dose they alternate their coffee buys from those two roasters, which seems like a fine thing for a city in the middle of two bigger cities to do. On Sunday they're only open for a few hours, and downtown Red Deer on a Sunday is pretty quiet. But Dose had a bit of a thing going on inside, a lineup to get their coffee. It must be good, and to be honest the latte I had was one of the best I've had this year. I probably would have given Dose 5 stars except when I was chatting with the barrista about how nice roasting coffee smells and where they get their coffee and the difference between soy and almond milk he kind of forgot that I ordered soy milk. It wasn't until he'd poured in the cow milk from a Dairlyland container and I'd pondered when did Dairyland start making soy milk and good for them and all that, that I decided to ask, is that soy milk? Whoops. Too much congeniality, not enough focus on details. I'm glad I asked, cuz I'm lactose intolerant and it would have been an uncomfortable couple hours in a car afterwards. And then he ran out of soy milk, which was okay cuz I had a great almond milk latte, as I've already mentioned. read more

A great little stop in downtown Red Deer. The menu is succinct and to the point, with coffee roasted by some Albertan companies. Their espresso is tasty - flavourful, not too bitter and clearly brewed by some baristas who know what they are doing. When I was here I grabbed an Americano because their pourovers can only be enjoyed in house. Service was fast, it was friendly, and it was a tasty espresso shot. This is a good stop for a coffee lover. They do coffee right, and know how to find beans that are well roasted and flavourful. Good job Dose. read more

Such a cute place and so well connected in Red Deer! They really make an effort to be a part of the local downtown community (I notice online) which I love. There isn't much I can have here as I'm vegan but I love the atmosphere! Add more vegan options and I'll be a regular! read more

A hipster gem. Small variety of coffees and food but the quality is outstanding! Plus wifi, nice one! After sampling from many coffee shops in Melbourne (the coffee capital) I can truly appreciate having Dose in at home in Red Deer. I wish the place was bigger but it's good enough for a coffee date, or for to go. They have a variety of loosed tea and very affordable. My friends and I are always willing to try out different kind of tea and the lady helping us was kind enough to let us have a smell of their best selling tea. Very nice. The atmosphere is great, food and drinks are fantastic although I did find that my coffee wasn't served as hot as i'd prefer it to be. So it only took a few minutes before it was luke warm and I hadn't even gotten halfway through my cup before I was drinking it cold. I shop here often and every single time my coffee is just warm.. The coffee here is good. However, the gossip is bad. I came here once and the staff and the owner were gossiping about people I knew. Red Deer is a small city, you just can't get away with that. It made me wonder what they were going to say about me when I left. Didn't go back after that. read more

The baristas have no idea what a good espresso shot is. Had a cappuccino and a macchiato. Both were ridiculously milky and watery, which is unfortunate because they serve good beans (Phil and Sebastian). Good lunches but don't go there for the coffee. read more
