This is not acceptable, especially for a restaurant. I'm also going to report this to Tims headquarters.

Pleasantly happy to find City Roast on yelp. Upon entering there are a couple of tables with adequate seating. We were greeted nicely by the gal behind the counter. The menu was a little overwhelming and decided to order a latte and a cappuccino along with a slice of hummingbird cake and a Saskatoon rhubarb scone. Our coffees were made and they were served they looked delicious as you'll see in the photo. First sip coffee was smooth and full of flavor no bitter taste to follow at all, so please with my order. Perhaps we'll stop by again before we leave.

And yes, it was indeed the one where stopped to use the restroom and a quick bite. Yes, the restroom wasn't comparable to the ones found in hotels but it's clean enough. Same with the dining room, floors, and counters. At the time of my visit, there were enough personnel taking care of customers. This branch has an automated self-serve kiosk where you can place and pay for your order. We ordered breakfast items which were served fast by efficient employees. Also: when someone pays you and is due $0.99 change, logic would dictate that perhaps you should give them a loonie instead of counting out the $0.99, but I applaud your attention to detail on the most mundane and trivial things imaginable. Next time, swap your attention span from counting pennies to greeting me and I might leave a better review. And while I recognize this is McDonalds and critiquing their food is more or less an exercise in futility, my burger came sloppily assembled and my fries looked like they had barely seen the inside of that greasy, greasy fryer. But what more can you expect from a place run by a bunch of high school kids? I'm just impressed I didn't get violent food poisoning.

It's not a large space but well arranged and bright with some lovely seating directly by the windows on the main floor. To access the coffee shop you need to enter the building first. There's a gradual incline of a step depending on where you approach the building but I didn't spot if it's accessible for wheelchairs. Maybe I needed to walk further along the building? I'll let my photos tell the rest of the story as I was only able to try a date square and my cousin a tasty chocolate mousse of something as we had lunch prior to this stop.

Easy to pop into from the highway 2 and since it's part of a strip mall area there was plenty of parking nearby. We were seated right away, the space is quite large and bright. Very sunny vibes. The single person bathrooms are nice but there are only 3 of them I think. I right away was eager to try their fancy coffee - in particular the caramel tiramisu latte (topped with caramel drizzle, whipped cream and cinnamon sprinkle ($5.99) but this drink was a bit of a let down in my opinion. Over the top sweet and since it's served in a glass cup it doesn't retain its heat, gets cold fast, and is actually kind of small. I get that it's a latte but the sheer sweetness makes me wonder is there any coffee in it? Okay I've given you the worst part the food was not disappointing! We ordered the Hot honey chicken Benedict ($19.99) and this was divine! The spicy and sweet combo was excellent and I loved that it got on the Hashbrowns too! Good serving size and eggs were perfect. We also had to order some pancakes and asked for the most popular, which was the signature stacks Cinnabon cakes ($15.99). These were huge and terribly delightful! Fluffy and the sauce combination of cream cheese icing and whip and icing sugar- wowzers! Very good and a reason it's a popular choice. We also got a kids pancakes ($8.49) and added a side of sausage ($2.49). Overall a nice spot for a spot of breakfast.

When we politely asked Kya about her attitude, her only reply was, "Do you want the manager?"
