I wil be honest I only looked at the 1st two photos of menu under the about us tab. We invited a friend for dinner from Bowden who had never been but said her son said "popular for old people and breakfast". I was a bit confused but went with it. The menu in person starts with the family restaurant/breakfast foods, the Persian stuff is in the back. I didn't bother looking at the rest of the menu as I had only confirmed previous that all the kebabs were safe as I was unaware of the other items. My husband and I both had the Vaziri Kebab entree and subbed the Shirazi salad for the house salad. The portions were HUGE. We had to get to go boxes, thankfully my hotel toom has a fridge. I think my plate had 1.5 cups of rice alone, the kebabs were close to a foot each. This was my husband's 1st time eating Persian food and he quite enjoyed himself. I enjoyed it too. We will definitely be back. The menu did list list a "goat cheese eggs benedict, so I may have to do more research on the other safe menu items.

The soup was wonderful and thick. I can assure you that this soup didn't come from a can. It was cabbage soup with a few perogies thrown in for good measure. The sandwich was partially my own creation because you choose all the ingredients of it from the bread type to the condiments (I had horse radish, mustard and sauerkraut). There's password protected WiFi to help catch up on the latest stuff on your phone. Inside is tastefully decorated with murals and other things to keep you busy. The washrooms are downstairs so that might be an issue for anyone who is mobility challenged. This is a place where I definitely will return to if I pass through Sundre again. Note that if you prefer a cowboy breakfast of steak and eggs with fried potatoes, this may not be the café for you. For everyone else, enjoy!

The floor hadn't been swept and was filthy, our table was clean however, the plates they gave us were dirty as well as the cups, and we didn't really know what to order so we got one of the curries each and chose the hottest they offered bc why not, our food came cold and it had NO heat or flavor. I doused my rice in the sauce and all i could taste was oil and plain rice. The chicken was severely under seasoned too. Worst restaurant going experience ever. Three times now I have been there with friends when this woman proceeds to bring out the vacuum- which you can hardly hear yourself talk above - then the mop and bucket with the obnoxious smelling cleaner all while you are trying to visit with friends and finish eating. There is nothing worse in a restaurant and no excuse for it. I don't care if we are the only customers left , you wait until you close before cleaning the floor, it is rude and shows no regard for people that have paid to be there. I hope this changes but I and my friends will not be back to find out.
