This is a wonder place for breakfast, lunch or just a coffee in Sundre. In a place like Sundre…read morethat celebrates its cowboy culture I certainly didn't expect to find a trendy coffee and sandwich shop. I ordered the soup and sandwich special. The soup was wonderful and thick. I can assure you that this soup didn't come from a can. It was cabbage soup with a few perogies thrown in for good measure. The sandwich was partially my own creation because you choose all the ingredients of it from the bread type to the condiments (I had horse radish, mustard and sauerkraut). There's password protected WiFi to help catch up on the latest stuff on your phone. Inside is tastefully decorated with murals and other things to keep you busy. The washrooms are downstairs so that might be an issue for anyone who is mobility challenged. This is a place where I definitely will return to if I pass through Sundre again. Note that if you prefer a cowboy breakfast of steak and eggs with fried potatoes, this may not be the café for you. For everyone else, enjoy!

There is nothing worse in a restaurant and no excuse for it. I don't care if we are the only customers left , you wait until you close before cleaning the floor, it is rude and shows no regard for people that have paid to be there. However, there is no sanitizer available at the entrance and I noticed the waitress seating customers without masks, so a little more effort regarding patron's safety would be nice. The food is excellent. Great menu, lots of choice and really interesting. We did some sharing, fish tacos, sweet potato fries, and cauliflower bites. Fish was battered, not normally my favourite, but was light and really tasty. Maybe the best sweet potatoes ever and the cauliflower bites are a meal, lightly breaded and tasty, maybe too big to be shared with just two people, most of ours came home. Staff is friendly and attentive. Waitress didn't know the beer list and suggested I "go look", which is fine but there weren't that many to remember. She did, however, bring us a takeaway box without being asked as she noticed the cauliflower bites still lingering on the plate.
