1st and last time I've been to this restaurant. Service was ok. But the food horrible. Stay away from this place. Our food was delivered within 10 minutes of order taken. What's that tell you??? I am sure they fry the egg and the rest heated in a microwave. Potato was just boiled and fried potato rings. No seasoning at all. My pico de gallo looks like frozen salsa that was thawed over night. I would not recommend this restaurant to anybody.

Great spot in downtown Mesquite with a variety of items for everyone's liking. Stopped by with a party of over 10 and we were seated promptly and served quickly, food was hot when it came to the table! From flautas to enchiladas, everything was yummy. Prices are great! Stop by you won't regret it.

Let me start out by saying I really liked the food and the service at this place and I will definitely come back here and eat again. This place is nestled on the corner on the downtown Mesquite Square. It is unassuming on the outside and even moreso on the inside. Don't expect fancy, because it is anything but fancy. It is old, it is dated, and oddly it has a lot of tropical plants on either side when you walk in, taking up a lot of dining room space, and if you walk back to the restrooms you will wonder where you are and why you came here. But, don't let that scare you off, the food is delicious and the service is fantastic. Enjoy the place for what it is, a great hole in the wall kinda of place to get some delicious food!

GREAT HORCHATA, HAND MADE DELICIOUS TORTILLAS! (The best things here.) Arriving to Dos Panchas is like arriving to a restaurant in Mexico. Not necessarily because of the authenticity, but because it's unsanitary unattended tables, the dirty floors, and the run down furniture and walls. The waitress was unknowledgeable about the menu when asked about different dishes. She looked very unhappy to be there. No courtesies or greetings were offered. We only saw our waiter once. She didn't come back to get us a refill, ask if the food was okay, or even offer to clear any plates. As you can see in the pictures, we had enchiladas and the parillada. The enchiladas had a different type of seasoning (not gonna say it was bad but it wasn't amazing). The rice and beans were authentic. The Parillada plate was a 8/10. If you're STARVING and craving Mexican food, come here. If you can hold off a little more, drive past this place to somewhere better.

I wish this time I had gotten two chicken because they were so good! The beef was good too, but they are more My Husband's flavor style than mine. Nothing at all wrong with them just personal preference. The meats were good quality, and the beans and rice were good too. Mozzarella sticks were nice and crispy battered on the outside with soft gooey cheese inside just like you want from good mozzarella sticks My friend ordered the nachos and let me tell you that plate was stacked. Huge plate of nachos! The place was clean, service was friendly and overall we were just really impressed with everything. Even end of the night food was still served fast, fresh and delicious. Definitely recommend stopping here. Their menu has a gigantic variety so I can almost guarantee you'll find something for everyone!

As soon as we walked in the door we were greeted, seated and brought chips and salsa which I devoured. For starters, we had the guacamole salad and queso. We had to stop eating the queso and guacamole to save room for the main course because it was that good. My wife ordered the ground beef and shredded chicken enchiladas with all the fixings. They were very good with the red sauce and Spanish rice. The beef had a very good seasoning and the chicken had a taste like it had been marinated for a few hours. I had the beef fajitas. The beef was tender, succulent and seasoned well. The only thing that I didn't like was that the fajitas had a sweet taste to it. I believe the sweet taste was from sweet bell peppers or sweet onions, nevertheless, it was too sweet for my taste buds. We enjoyed ourselves, enjoyed the margaritas and the starters, but next time, I'll try some shrimp nachos. I give Ernesto's Mexican Restaurant three out of five drinks. Cheers!

Our cocktails were all good - and the appetizers were very good. We had the crispy pork belly and the tostaditas with barbacoa. The crispy pork belly was especially delicious and I would order as my own dinner in the future. It comes with onions and sauces and corn tortillas and it's to die for - so crispy and flavorful. We ordered the Bistec enchiladas and they were good but not as good as the appetizers. They give you a variety of sauces when you're seated that you keep throughout the meal - from mild to spicy but I would say the "spicy" is on the mild side. Still good and flavorful but not unapproachable for most ppl. We had the Campechana dessert and it was a little strange. It was basically a vanilla Icecream cake with a crispy waffle cone like layering that was really hard to break until it sat a while. It was oddly addicting but also not that good? I can't explain it. We went to the cigar lounge area after dinner and had Mexican espresso martinis and watched football before heading home. There was little smoke smell but very minimal until it got later. Around 8:30 (on a Saturday night) ppl started smoking cigars and they opened the side windows and being 90degrees right now - it became less enjoyable so we decided to end the night. In the fall that room would probably be quite lovely with the windows open. They have comfortable seating and fire pits. Really more of a 4.5 out of 5. Loved the decor near the restrooms and patio too.
