Our group was in the mood for some Mexican cuisine and decided to try someplace new. Located in the Hickory Flat Commons Shopping Center as a very spacious out parcel, Dos Margaritas has plenty of seating both indoor and outdoor. The menu is extensive in appetizers, salads, mains and desserts. Our server was so friendly and accommodating. She handled all the groups requests with smiles and quick efficient service. The food all came out quickly and correct. Asking for recommendations, she suggested the fried ice cream. Well it sounded so interesting and delicious we just had to order 3 of them. Lol. The entrees were all hot and very tasty and oh my goodness on the fried ice cream! I never had it before but it was so good and went so fast I didn't even get a photo! Came over with a work crew for lunch and ofc our time is sort of short, the food took a little longer than expected and honestly, the portions were also small but personally, i don't like eating too much during lunch if im going back to a jobsite so it worked out well. The food was decent, nothing special. A decent 3/5 for my huevos con chorizo. The chile toriados came with a bunch of onions, wasn't a fan either but the chiles were spicy so it's fine. read more

I placed a phone order referencing their on line menu. A guacamole fresco $6.50 on line order and I was charged $11.99 for a large guacamole fresco that had a few slices of avocado, tomatoes, that didn't looked near a large portion. I ordered a burrito grande with steak, no sour cream and specifically asked for no white sauce only salsa verde. Of course I got the burrito swimming in the white sauce and salsa Verde. I had to wait for a new burrito the way I wanted and I was ready to leave when I saw the grande guacamole fresco charge of $11.99. When I told them that their on line menu had a different price I was told that they didn't update their menu and prices. So I would not recommend this restaurant at all. Overpriced nasty food. The restaurant was clean and the service descent. But I can't get past the awful, nasty food and the cost of it. I would have enjoyed sitting home with crushed ice more than the tasteless house margaritas. Online - the restaurant shows half-orders of nachos are available. In person, I was told that wasn't the case but they could place an order for a kids size plate. Okay. The waiter failed to mention there would be an upcharge of $3 for steak fajita meat - which I feel he should have done instead of saying "yes! I'll do that for you." It's absolutely the worst Mexican food in Jasper. I cannot recommend and I'll never be back. read more

Average review for an average restaurant. If you're exceptional, then I suppose 4-5 stars is appropriate. Fajitas are good. Mini Chimis are good. Queso came out at room temperature. My biggest problem is the menu prices don't match what's on the check. Last time we were here, I brought this up with the staff. They corrected the bill by about 2/3 of what it should have been. My quesadilla tasted like it was from taco Bell...nothing wrong with that except if you going to charge $8 for a plate then at least put a little effort into it. My beans didn't taste fresh. It tasted like the 99 cent cans in a beans that I can make at home. My co-worker said his rice was cold in the center but he's a New Yorker and he won't send food back to the kitchen because he's afraid they'll spit into it.... Monday afternoon brought me to this restaurant around 4:30pm and I was thrilled to see the margaritas were on special for $3.99 and the Texas margarita was $4.99. I ordered the Texas Margarita on the rocks and it did not disappoint. The Street Tacos were absolutely delicious but beware of the sauce because it is spicy and full of flavor. I also had a combo #1 and I was pleasantly surprised that the enchiladas were beef rather than cheese. That was very nice! The taco was so crispy. The servings were large and I was able to take food home for a second meal. Our waiter's name was Jesse and he was the only waiter in the restaurant serving over 20 people. He did an amazing job. Jesse never missed a beat, got both our orders correct and he was also our bartender. Jesse had excellent customer service skills and really did an amazing job making us feel important in a busy restaurant. He really did it all! Great job Jesse and thanks for keeping such a positive attitude! We will be definitely be back. read more

Don't waste your time and money ordering this here! Go to Taco Macho and order the same thing (better taste actually and same quantity) for $12!!!! They will have music , football games , and live singing all going on at once and expect us to understand what the hell they are saying. DO NOT EAT HERE! Tonight my husband and I went and I prefaced ordering saying I had a severe black bean allergy, confirmed what I ordered had no beans and explained again I was very allergic. Got our food and covered in beans, when I told the waiter he said "not my fault I told the guys no beans" proceeded to bring it back and come out with it AGAIN they clearly tried to pick it out missing some, the waiter said "no way they are messing up bad tonight". My food was then returned for the second time and instead of offering something else he brought the check and said "I took care of your food" excuse me what? Terrible customer service. The wife and I stopped in on Sunday after grocery shopping for the second weekend a row. There are so many Mexican restaurants in the Canton area so standing out means you need to do something special. Well Dos Margaritas Guacamole Fresco, a combination of fresh mashed avocado, tomato, onion, jalapeño and lime, is THE BEST guacamole in Atlanta. A must have! Absolutely awful. Ordered taco salad with beef tips. Very little lettuce, shell burnt, beef tips were reheated mushy beef, and more of a mush bowl. I ate maybe 1/3 and stopped deciding to cut my losses. They overcharged me for the steak option which I paid just to get out of there as quickly as possible. This place is close to my parents' house, so they end up here a lot. The first few times I joined them, it just seemed like your run-of-the-mill fake mexican food, which is just fine if that's what you're looking for. I usually am not. Chips, salsa, various bean-meat-cheese-tortilla combinations- exactly what you'd expect. The last two times I've been, though, things were different. I was there with my mother a few months back (she absolutely loves their chicken tortilla soup, by the way) and saw that they had huevos rancheros. Loved it. Simple dish, but felt like real food. This last visit, figuring I could fall back on the huevos rancheros, I was overjoyed to see "authentic tacos" on the menu. I ordered a plate of three- two carnitas and one chorizo. They were pricier than the ones you get at the places on Buford highway, but also much meatier. And very good. Tasty meat, onions, and cilantro in corn tortillas, just as it should be. It didn't even occur to me until I was done that they should be served with a lime wedge, but I guess they didn't need it. We ordered an appetizer, kid's plate and two regular entrees. The kid's plate arrived first. The plate was hot to the touch. As I was about to cut the quesadilla, I noticed a hair on the plate. I located our waitress and specifically told her we wanted the entire meal remade since the hair was physically touching the quesadilla and they brought rice instead of beans. Two minutes later, she returned with the exact same plate with the same quesadilla on it. The quesadilla had a piece of burnt cheese on it with a distinct appearance, the same both times. It was the same plate as well, it was lukewarm when they brought it back. The quesadilla was also lukewarm since they did not remake it. Based on these health violations and sheer laziness, we decided not to compromise our health eating at this establishment. If this is what is presented to a customer, then there is much more to be discovered in their kitchen. An unsanitary kitchen makes unsanitary food. I asked for a manager but none was on duty. I asked to pay for what we had eaten but they told us we didn't have to pay for any of it. We left the waitress a tip for the service she had already provided. We will not be returning to this restaurant based on their health violations. We will not risk getting sick. We were especially upset they risked my small child's health. read more
