Every step of the way David and his team were reassuring, easygoing, and absolutely lovely to work with. At both our tasting and the wedding itself, David and his team cooked some of the best food I have ever tasted. We have heard from so many guests at the wedding how much they enjoyed the food. They were kind, fun, and adaptable. When it took twice as long as expected to flip our space from ceremony to reception, the staff brought appetizers to the porch for cocktail hour, much to the delight of our guests. I couldn't imagine our wedding day without catering from The Grassy Cow. They are kind, reasonably priced, and a must book for your next event!

I recently attended an event where the Grassy Cow was catering. It was a total disaster…read more The event had 200 people, and the caterer showed up with maybe 10 inexperienced servers. The food was delivered cold, things like coffee cups and dessert plates were not present, they didn't clear plates when meals were done, and the time from the back of the room to the front of the room being served was a full 35 minutes. Folks gave up and we're leaving, and volunteers from the event stepped in to clear tables and help service tables. This place may have delicious food, but they are NOT equipped to handle a. I made up a menu and they delivered food that was better than anything I could have hoped for. They were also extremely flexible and professional regarding their mobile bar and we got so many compliments on how cool it looked/was. Our wedding was outside and a little off the beaten path and they made it work without complications! I would recommend them to anyone in the Eugene, OR area!

Justin answered his phone late in the day on a Monday afternoon and within an hour had an entire staff lined up for the Friday event. He could have just as easily said they were booked or couldn't accommodate a reservation a couple days out when they normally have months notice but Justin didn't hesitate to pull every string in the book to make it happen. His coordinator Alisha was so sweet, responsive and helpful as well. The icing on the cake was the quality of the food and service, not the mention their burgers. Holy moly, so good! I can't even count the amount of compliments we received on those patties. I can't recommend this company enough! Thank you doesn't go far enough!

She was friendly, patient, obliging, and did more than 100% required. She is an asset to Sheild Catering. The crew who served at the event were also friendly, respectful, accommodating and adaptable, making things comfortable without interference, and provided all that was asked. The food, which was important in itself, was tasty and plentiful. Many of the guests complimented our choice and asked the name of the caterer, plus came up for a seconds. Our event was a success thanks to Sheild Catering. We highly recommend them to anyone searching for an excellent caterer.

This combination is very much a winner-and it's a perfect starter dish if you want to try this place out. I will have to come back here sometime for pulled pork and pulled chicken. Their menu is impressive. It's about time this place gets added to Yelp! Barbeque heaven, indeed.

Pulled chicken sandwich, Mac n cheese, and smoked Jalepeno popper bites. The sandwich was fine. No smoke flavor at all, and not much flavor tbh. The bbq sauce was good. I had "spicy" and it was pretty mildly spicy for those wondering which bbq sauce to get. There was plenty of meat and the bun was fresh and soft. Could have used some crunch IMO, pickles? Or slaw? The Mac n cheese looked gross however, it was tasty and cheesy and my favorite part of the meal. I think there was bbq sauce in it. The poppers were fine. The order came with 2. No smoke flavor. Stuffed with? Sausage maybe. I wouldn't order them again. I doubt I'd get the sandwich again. But the Mac n cheese is worth checking out. The guy in line in front of me was a huge fan. So, some may enjoy this more than myself. If I go back, I'll try some of the other meat options to see if they get the Smokey flavor. The eating area needed a good cleaning.

The food is always delicious and beautifully presented. They are so easy to work with, I can always rely on them to do everything even better than I could dream of. Jeanie really works to provide a quality product. The food at an event is probably the most talked about and lasting impression that is made. With Jeanie, I know that my guests (and my workmates at lunch) will always rave! My most favorite things are her lasagnas, cheese plates (amazing), salads, and the ahi wonton hors-d'oeuvres, but honestly, everything is always great- and she can make your culinary dreams come true. It is really fun to plan special events with her too- we had a 50's party and she made great steak & potatoes, wedge salads and little sliders and french fries for hors d'oeuvres... and fun specialty milkshakes and cocktails--- it's always an absolute joy to have her and her team work an event- they are all pros. I can't think of a caterer I'd recommend more, I only have eyes for Flavors!
