The food was delivered cold, things like coffee cups and dessert plates were not present, they didn't clear plates when meals were done, and the time from the back of the room to the front of the room being served was a full 35 minutes. Folks gave up and we're leaving, and volunteers from the event stepped in to clear tables and help service tables. This place may have delicious food, but they are NOT equipped to handle a. He was very nice the food he presented was very good, the price worked for our budget so we decided to go ahead and book his company for our wedding. I understood that we were booking early so I wasn't too worried about getting things figured for a little while and he'd told me he had other brides that had weddings sooner and needed tending too first. I completely understood. I was being very patient. Well after about a month or so I got an email and phone call from Jeff saying he was ready to start discussing our wedding and getting things going. I was very excited. We told him that we were wanting BBQ for our event for about 40-50 guests. We discussed everything that we wed want on our menu. He told us that he'd need about a week or so to put together a menu and get back to us. OK great sounds good. Looking forward to what you put together for us. Almost 2 weeks go by and we haven't heard anything so I email him and ask if we are still supposed to be receiving the menu. A couple days later he emails back and says hes been sick. OK that's fine but you could have communicated. So once again Im trying to be patient and understanding. ( side note: I have over 15 years front of house/back of house experience) I know how all of this is supposed to go. Im trying to be as respectful and understanding. But I am not a person to hold their had and constantly prompt them to do their job that I'm laying them to do. Well after a couple days we finally receive an email with the menu attached. OK I'm super excited....until I wasn't. After everything wed discussed on the phone and in email about what we wanted none of it was on this menu....he sent me a previous brides menu. And blamed it on the fact that he was sick. OK to me this is a huge ick...You said you'd taken notes of everything we were wanting. Their was emails. Im not sure how you could just completely disregard everything wed discussed and just decided to take the "easy" route and send a previous brides menu which Is nothing of what we wanted. This was very frustrating and made me forsee the future not turning out good for our event. So I sent a lengthy email about everything wed discussed and asking him to please send the appropriate menu wed asked for. I was trying (even though I didn't have to) give him one last chance to do better...instead almost instantly he sends me an email saying he doesn't appreciate how I treated him and he doesn't feel like it'll be a good fit to work on our event. OK that's fine. No sweat off my brow. I more the less just want everyone to know exactly who you are. If the client is actually paying a decent amount of money they deserve the proper vendor to do the job correctly and not have to be consistently prompted. I also don't understand how this catering company is in award winning status. I really hoped he would of done better. I really wanted this to work out. Ultimately anyone in the near future I would not recommend this company if your wanting reliability. ​

Horrible Experience - All Good Memories Erased I had stayed…read moreat this unique hotel once before and returned with fond memories. While the facilities were admittedly dated, the beautifully maintained grounds and charming atmosphere made it worthwhile. Unfortunately, last night's visit completely destroyed those positive recollections. We checked in around 11 PM and were sent to our assigned room -- a tiny, isolated space in the attic. It was unbearably hot and steamy, with no air conditioning or adequate ventilation, despite the rest of the building being cooled. The conditions were so shocking and unsafe that we turned around immediately, left without staying, and went to find another hotel. When we raised the issue, staff simply suggested using a fan. The only way to have endured the night would have been to sleep with the door wide open to the hallway, which was obviously not a safe or reasonable option. I will never return to this hotel and cannot recommend it to anyone. The lack of basic comfort and guest care is unacceptable.
