    Taco Salad

Honestly shocked by how good the food was, I didn't expect delicious Mexican inside a casino, but Dos Caminos delivered. The guac was fresh, beef quesadilla hit the spot, and the taco salad was dangerously good. Felt like I wandered into a trendy city spot... just with slot machines nearby. Service was a fantastic and very attentive. I came to gamble, stayed for the food. Definitely will be coming back next time I'm in town!

Stopped in for the 1st time, they conveniently open up for happy hour an hour before anyone else. :) We had the frozen margarita (with Patrón, sweet!), one on the rocks, and the Tex-Mex queso. Everything was delicious. I wish they were open on Tuesdays, we'd have dinner there today. But like I said, we just stopped in for a snack and a drink while we're waiting for our next place to open up. Highly recommend!

Sat here at the bar and got some drinks. The watermelon marg was pretty good, not too strong. They have some chips and salsa that they give you which was good. We got the chicken taquitos which were pretty good too

We love coming to Golden Nugget just for The Deck but decided to grab a mea at Dos Caminos. This is newly reopened and it looks great. It's on the casino floor but not too loud or smokey. We sat at the wrap around bar which could seat well over 20 people. They have a big menu and luckily we got here for happy hour. Everyone here was super nice and each asked us if we we doing okay. We decided on simple margarita drinks and got the chicken taquitos. Drinks were perfectly mixed with a bit of alcohol to get going. Taquitos were crisp and the chicken was very good. The fajitas came out sizzling hot too much to touch for a few minutes. The shrimp didn't have much taste but the veggies and steak were pretty good with that char. The wraps I do have to say kind of stink and remind me of a bad store brand that's stale. The tacos were just as good but the shells were the same way sadly. Great spot though for sure for any occasion.

Arrived around 7pm on a Friday night. We were seated immediately. Nice selection of cocktails , I ordered the Great Escape margarita, it was so good. For dinner I ordered Baja Pescado tacos with blackened fish. My husband ordered the steak fajitas. Food came out quick and we were both happy with what we ordered.

Was so looking forward to some good Mexican food. Unfortunately, this place was not good Mexican. Service was friendly but failed to ask certain questions for example margaritas were served with no salt or sugar Chips and salsa we're good but are dinners are average at best Dinners were poor quality for the price you are paying. I have eaten all over this country and this was by far the most expensive Mexican I have had cost usually doesn't bother me it did this night.

Decided to try Dos Caminos this weekend since it's reopened in Atlantic City but in The Golden Nugget. Atmosphere is nice & casual. Our server was great & really nice. Food came out quick & everything was delicious. If you like fresh guac, this is the place to go. Margs are also nice & strong, just how I like them! Highly recommend & would return!

Food was amazing it was quick but I feel the fajita had more onions than actual meat. The service was quick and we didn't have to wait long. The ambiance was calm with some music playing in the background.

Sitting at the bar. What a beautiful atmosphere.

We wandered in, to try the new restaurant on the casino floor. It was amazing. The decor is so festive. The tequila selection is top notch. Everything our bartender, Kevin, recommended was delicious and full of flavors. We recommend the Skirt steak Asada, Salmon Zarandeado and a watermelon margarita.

    TexMex Quaeso was a miss.

Booths line the edges like polite sentries and the bar itself is lined with slot/video poker machines in case you feel like doubling your disappointment. I arrived with a party of four just 45 minutes before last call on a Tuesday. You would think that would be enough time for a few drinks and a few laughs. You would be wrong. There was a man in a suit behind the bar doing what I can only assume was performance art meant to mimic sabotage. There was a bar back who had the dazed expression of a man recently asked to name all the moons of Jupiter in alphabetical order. The bartender moved with the speed and confidence of a tortoise delivering bad news to a hungry bobcat. Service was a game of drink-by-drink roulette. He took our orders one at a time in the most literal sense. One person would speak. He would leave. He would return eventually with something resembling said dink. Another person would speak. He would leave again. Rinse. Repeat. We might have been speaking in code and he was off deciphering it at the opposite corner of the bar. The drinks were okay. Not good. Not bad. Okay. The menu was fun to look at though. They called them potions. In the VooDoo Lounge. How clever. It was the highlight of the visit and the only reason I gave them a second star. That and the fact that I did not actually die there. Oh and the prices. Nineteen dollars to sip Instragramable mediocrity from a glass shaped like regret.

There was a live pianist taking requests, and he was good. Competent, even charming, although his frequent reminders that songs will be played in order of greatest tip to least made us think his salary was entirely gratuity based. He played what people wanted to hear across a wide spread of genres, which is a kind of small miracle. Still, it felt like a watered down substitute for something that once had a pulse. The ghost in the room was Gypsy Bar, which used to offer actual live music on weekends. Closing it was, in my opinion, a small but meaningful cultural error. Now, between B Bar, Long Bar, and this place, the Borgata has achieved a kind of perfectly acceptable sameness. Three bars, none of them offensive, none of them memorable. My wife ordered her usual gin and tonic, a drink that asks for very little and is satisfied when it receives it. I went with a Sazerac, motivated by the presence of absinthe, which I had somehow avoided my entire life. It turns out absinthe does not cause hallucinations, unless you count the fleeting belief that you are having a more interesting drink than everyone else. Still, it was well made and nicely presented, as was hers. Service was slow, which felt odd given that the bar was not especially crowded. Not neglectful, just unhurried in a way that made you aware of time passing. Prices were what one expects in a casino hotel lobby. High enough to remind you where you are. In the end, it is fine. Perfectly fine. You'll probably get a pretty good drink, you might hear a pleasant song, and except for your wallet, you'll leave no worse off than when you arrived. But you may also find yourself remembering something better that used to exist in the same building, and wondering why it doesn't anymore. Four stars, though at least half of one of them is doing a fair amount of emotional labor.
