We've visited half a dozen Sonoita wineries and DC wines impressed us the most. Not a fancy, shiny place, but good wines, reasonably priced. read more

Awesome winery. Great reds. Love the pizza food truck addition. Nice to get away to this quiet town .

My uncle is a wine club member and recommended we try this place. For my birthday weekend we drove through Tuscon, Sonoita and Bisbee and highly recommend visiting Dos Cabezas. We were greeted by Karen and she told us that if you saved your wineglasses from a previous place the tasting of 6 wines would only be $8. The reds here are so fantastic...temparnillo / syrah / blends...we loved them all. We noticed aother couple brought cheese and crackers and the DB didn't seem to mind, so that's a good tip. They serve little pita chips at the bar to snack in between. I wanted to meet the owner, Kelly as my uncle is a huge fan and dropped his name and his favorite four legged companion, Ollie. Kelly was very warm and chatted with us about the wines...we were so in love with just their "table red" we bought a case of a mixed batch since we enjoyed them all and there is a 10% discount if you buy 12 bottles. Everyone was visiting and enjoying each other's company and the energy is very casual. Service is great here and it's really nice to support an AZ winery. read more

Down in Southern Az wine country for a wine weekend. Loved all of the DC wines, each had great structure and flavor profiles. We were left a little disappointed with the host, she clearly was preoccupied with other things, not the customers, even though when we are we were the only ones there...the reason for the 4 rather than 5 star review because the wines were surely a 5. Regardless, quite. Treat and do yourself a favor and stop in and you will leave pleased. read more

This places rocks! totally amazing trip and I luv the logo. You gotta read the descriptions of the wine menu so hilarious and unique. I lived many years in the Bay Area and Napa wine country and AZ does a pretty damn good job. read more

The wife & I went to visit this gem with friends and had a blast. Will come back to visit again.

Next Door Dos Cabezas--The facility was very clean and much larger than expected. Great place for families, they had a great outdoor play area and indoor entertainment room. Everything you could ever need is provided, including cooking supplies. The owners were very helpful and responded quickly. We will definitely go back to Dos Cabezas. read more

The wine is delicious! The Toscana was fantastic. I cannot say enough about the pizza. It's possibly the best in Southern AZ. The owners Todd and Kelly are so friendly. I can't recommend Dos Cabezas enough. read more

Delicious wine and friendly people. This was a winery that was recommended to us by some close friends and it did not disappoint. They had a good selection to choose from and we came home with several bottles. The people there were very nice to talk to, a great laid back environment to spend time at read more

A friend recommended we go to Dos Cabezas while traveling in southern AZ and it did not disappoint! We tasted the Rose and all the reds and enjoyed them all but my favorite by far was the El Norte. When we arrived, we were the only ones tasting but shortly thereafter the place was bustling with people and the server, Karen, was great keeping everyone's glasses filled and orders straight. I did have the opportunity to meet Todd, the owner, and was very impressed with his knowledge, friendliness and willingness to share information on how he makes the wine so good! I will definitely be purchasing more Dos Cabezas wine and hope I have the opportunity to go back again. read more

Delicious wines, Arizona is on the winemaking map! I tried a couple of AZ wines 15+ years ago and after that experience, didn't dare try again until now. On a vacation to southeastern AZ, visitng Patagonia and the surrounding area, we saw the Dos Cabezas sign. We had just enjoyed a lunch (at The Cafe a few doors down) but they hadn't gotten their liquor license yet and I had really wanted to try a local wine. Dos Cabezas offers a range of reds, seem to be for all tastes. Certainly, they suited all of my tastes - I tried and bought a couple of bottles of their table wine ("Red"), something like a grenache smooth but not cloying; some Rojo del Sol crafted (designed?) buy the Oregon winemaker Dick Erath which reminded me of a wine vacation in the Willamette Valley, OR. And a bottle of the Aguileon (eagle lion?) that will be a real treat with a special Christmas meal! The tasting room was friendly and quiet, the staff friendly and it was a fun stop on our vaction! read more

Dos Cabezas has a wine tasting room in Sonoita, AZ - where I went. It was fantastic! I really enjoyed their wines. The El Norte and Aguileon were my favorites. They are such smooth reds with a nice finish. The wine tasting manager was incredibly informative and gave us great suggestions on what to pair the wines with and what to do while in Sonoita/Elgin. I really thought this was a great wine tasting experience and would go again. I can't wait to crack open my wine bottles!!! read more

I don't know how Senoita wineries get away with charging so much for wine tasting. This place was $15 per person and they don't apply the charge to a bottle if you buy. The wine was not especially interesting, although the area is nice. The lady working the counter was very friendly, but overall we were underwhelmed with the wine and the price. read more

Loved my visit once again! Every time I visit I discover something new.... how about that Tempranillo in the El Campo!....

This winery is at the main intersection as you enter Sonoita, and the tasting room was quite busy. However, we learned (from another winery) that Dos Cabezas was having a release party on the Saturday that we visited. The tasting fees were reasonable and we split 2 different tasting between us. We did buy a bottle of Toscano and felt the $28 price point was a bit high, but acceptable. However, we did not care at all for their higher end wines and IMO a $50/bottle price point for those wines is exorbitant; California prices for subpar wines. read more

Of all the wineries in Sonoita/Elgin, this was the best. I know that's a matter of personal opinion, but honestly the quality and varieties of wines were unparalleled. You pay $15 for 10 tastings which is quite a lot of wine! The service is great, they have pita chips to cleanse your pallet and it was very clean. The location is great, too - within walking distance to multiple reataurants and a delightful cafe/bakery. After 10 tastings, you will need to sober up, and it's great to take a break and grab a meal or snack! Their wines are pricier than others we visited, but for good reason!! It is absolutely worth the visit from Tucson - it left a strong impression! read more

Great wine room with a great price point for a tasting. If you do two tastings you can cover all of their wines which is perfect for a couple. The wines are just ok but a couple of their high end ones are very good. I also enjoyed their Rose. They opened at 10am which made it the perfect first stop on a wine tour of the area. read more

Great wines and great people. What more could you want? Dos Cabezas is the standard bearer for magnificent Arizona red wine. Even their most fiscally conservative red blend is amazing. If you are in Sonoita and are looking for great wine, stop here first. They are now offering the Kindred in their tasting menu. This wine is an amazing combination of the work of four vineyards. The robust flavors pulled from this wine are well worth the price. read more

Love their wine, tasting room can get crowded. Some chairs would be nice but isn't gonna stop me from going there. One of the first Az wines I tried. Good stuff. read more

Dos Cabezas is my favorite winery to visit in Sonoita, possibly Arizona. The Bostocks are always wonderful hosts and their wines are among my favorites. Their dedication to the Sonoita community and making it a tourism destination is also commendable. If you get an opportunity to take a tour of the facility with Todd, you will be treated to as much information as you want about the operation and how it has evolved over the years. This is a true homegrown, family-run operation and an Arizona gem that should be on everyone's to do list. Pro Tip: If you're driving down to Sonoita for a weekend away from the big city, try arriving before 4:30 pm so you can pick up a couple bottles from their tasting room to get you through the first night in town. read more

This was the first winery we hit on our wine wheel adventure. It was very family driven, with the owners dog and children making an appearance. By far the wine tasting increments were the largest throughout the afternoon. Paired with tasty salt crackers and a knowledgable wine pourer this place blended with our expectations, but did not go beyond or below them whatsoever read more

Dos Cabezas Wineworks - Wineries Near Me - Sonoita, Arizona

Dos Cabezas Wineworks is an AZ Gem! We had the opportunity to visit recently for a wine making tour, tasting and private dining event. The Bostock's are amazing hosts and people. The atmosphere of their tasting room and micro-inn next door is amazing. A perfect place to visit and stay on your next getaway to this beautiful southern AZ region. My favorite wines are Dos Cabezas Red and Aguileon. Thank you Todd & Kelly. Cheers! read more

THE BEST wines in the area. Their reds are all delicious but each one distinctive. Try them all. And ask lots of questions ... you'll definitely get answers from Karen, the gracious host. read more

My family has done a couple of tastings at this vineyard as well as dinner once or twice. The atmosphere is great and the food is good.

Great place to stop and stretch your legs and try some local wine. It is very good. Made it back for a second stop. Worth the trip.

I wish I could rate it higher!! We were greeted warmly by Kelly (the owner) and she walked us through everything they had. She was pleasant, and genuinely nice. we met Todd her husband and what a cool dude. We took pictures in the cellar with all the barrels. We were there for over 3 hours and it was amazing. On a separate note we went to hops & vines before this and that place was rude, and dismissive towards everyone there. Go see Todd & Kelly because the wine is spectacular and the service and caring attitude is the best. read more

The tasting room layout & design is, hands down, the best in the area (of the several wineries that we visited). Very eclectic, with the "dia de Los Muertos" guitar on the wall and the Edison-era light bulbs. It's also very nice to be served by one of the principals, not just somebody who works weekends/part time pouring wine. Convenient location too. In summary, a worthwhile stop on a tour of the area's local wineries/tasting rooms. read more

Always friendly folks in the tasting room. The tasting is on the expensive side at $15. The wines are nice, but on the expensive side too. Their port is way too sweet for our taste. Nice place, but not very scenic. Definitely worth stopping by. read more
