I remember when this was a fast food joint, but the interior now is totally different. We were impressed with the change. We were able to be seated quickly. For a Sunday it was pretty busy. They've several TVs around the restaurant so you can watch while eating. The menu is pretty extensive and has something for everyone. Lucky us, they had 5 dollar jumbo lime margaritas and 10 dollar fajitas for their specials that night. We were like sold! The husband saw queso and chips on the menu... needless to say we ordered it ASAP. The queso was pretty damn good. Not bland nor was it watery. Very addicting!! The jumbo frozen margaritas were strong and hit the spot. If I weren't driving, I would've had at least 1 or 2 more. Next time tho!! The chicken fajitas were massive. We honestly expected small portions considering it was the special. It was huge! The fajitas were outstanding. Lots of flavors and super tender. My mom and husband finished theirs. I only had room for half of it. Gotta save room for dessert!! The churro dessert we ordered was to die for. The dessert came in a huge cup with ice cream topped with caramel along with 4 churros. We all inhaled that dessert!! We left full and happy. Great spot overall! Great service and food. Definitely coming back next time I am in town.

FINALLY a Taco Spot that has REALLY HOT SALSA!…read more I am one of those crazy folks that love to eat uncomfortably hot stuff. I am usually disappointed by sauces that are either not hot enough or hot but don't taste good. Cantina Taco is not one of those places. Their salsa's are DELICIOUS and the pack a punch. I experienced Very Friendly Staff, and very quick service. I ordered Two Tacos, Black bean and Vegan Chorizo with an order of beans and rice. I got their 4 alarm salsa and their Mango Habanero to go with those and a Large Horchata. Everything was VERY very good. The Mango Habanero almost seemed spicier to me and had SO much flavor. I would go back just to get that. THe 4 alarm salsa was also very good but a totally different flavor profile. The Tacos were very generously portioned. The Tacos themselves were good but with the Salsa's they were great. The Rice and beans were good but the portion was a little small. The Horchata was delicious and helped cool me off from the Hot Salsas. I am already preparing to return so that I can try other items of their menu.

They were hauling! The food was absolutely delicious, and everything coming out of their kitchen looked equally amazing. They did a great job. We ordered a taco each, and split chips and salsa and rice and beans. The place is clean, cheery, and can't be beat!

The best part of the fajitas were the onions and peppers. The beans and rice both tasted microwaved and from 4 days ago. It was awful! And finally the service. Meh, let's go with if I can't say anything nice I shouldn't say anything. So we will leave that right there. The food runner/ bus person was a better server. They were comfortable enough to sit in. I ordered their Chicken Fajita, which came with either corn or flour tortillas (I selected flower) of which 3 were provided - it probably needed 1 more. I was stuffing every one of the tortillas and still ended up with some. It was served with beans and rice. My wife ordered the Burria which came with three and a nice dipping sauce. She ordered a margarita, while I went with Lemonade. We wrapped it up by sharing Flan, which was pretty good. Service was a little behind - they had all but two tables filled while we were there. One downside is all hard surfaces, so it gets LOUD when the restaurant is full of patrons.

When I say that there wasn't a single taco that I didn't like, I am not lying. My friend had birria tamales, and the masa on that was such an amazing texture too. The complimentary chips were so crisp and snappy, and I'm pretty sure they are homemade too. My second encounter with this restaurant was as they catered my graduation party. We ordered beans, rice, birria, and fajitas, as well as horchata and agua de piña. The food was complimented over and over. They provided so much! We had whole trays of leftovers when we were done, sauces, and tortillas. They were also super speedy with their set up, although I will admit they were a little late to the set up time. My third and most recent encounter was tonight as my family ordered takeout. My mother order a chimichanga con asada, and she attests that she was amazed by the flavor. My brother had a set of 3 carne asada tacos with cilantro and onion, and he is a very particular little boy, and he absolutely loved them. My father had papa loca con birria, and he just had his teeth removed, so he was excited that something so delicious was soft enough for his teeth. Lastly, I had the jumbo fried quesadilla con asada, and I was STUFFED! The presentation is beautiful despite being takeout, and the toppings add to the experience tenfold. They do not skimp on meat and cheese, and I am so appreciative of that. Alongside that, I had a small horchata, and let me tell you: the proportions for a small are that of a McDonald's medium, but aren't priced like one. For a horchata of that size, it is genuinely so cheap. Genuinely such an amazing restaurant, so no wonder they won restaurant of the year! Deserved!!!!
