I've been here a ton of times and realized I haven't reviewed this place. This is a great local…read morehangout that is family friendly and good for solo or group hangouts. They have a great selection of beers on top, and aren't stingy with letting you taste before you commit. They're also great at giving you suggestions if you describe the kinds of beers that you like. For example, I don't like extremely happy beers and they have suggested several that really hit the spot for me. My latest good surprise was their "Red, White, and Blueberry Cream Ale" - from the name, I was pretty sure I wouldn't like it because I don't like fruity beers, generally. However, they suggested I give it a taste. After a sample I decided to go for a pint. Not too fruity at all. I ended up going home with a growler of the stuff. The atmosphere is nice and open, and on good weather days they open up the front to give you that true open air experience. I've been here with friends, to watch World Cup games, and with family. It's always a comfortable vibe and very enjoyable. They also have a nice menu with a lot of variety. For example I've had their burgers, tacos, various sandwiches, and other things I can't think of right now. I haven't been disappointed. If you're in the Newberg area and looking for a good local hangout, this is it.

We are glad it was the Newbergundian Bistro. We had to start with a Croissant. It was very flavorful, but it was bit soft, not the perfect crunch that we love. The fresh squeezed grapefruit juice made an excellent greyhound. The Bistro had my favorite...Escargot as a special. WOW. So good. We then shared the Potato Croquettes. The accompanying fondue was so good to dip the Croquettes into. We finished with a Ham and Brie Sandwich that was excellent, accompanied by crisp and hot french fries. My wife had the Grilled Five Cheese Sandwich with Mixed Greens. She loved it. Traci was terrific and helped us throughout the meal.

We started at the bar, which was not comfortable for my mom but eventually we were able to sit on the patio which was great. Potato croquet appetizer - yummy. The cheese, pickle, mustard and croquettes go together as one perfect bite. I got the open face Ruben. It was delicious. I tried the grilled cheese which my sister got too - yummy, but there's a sticky cheese on there that I didn't love. Greens that came with all items were weird. Didn't eat them - don't know what they were.

First off - this place has no right to be as absolutely adorable, cozy, and phenomenal as it is!…read moreThe Dundee Bistro is tucked away in this tiny little wine country town in Oregon, and it's truly the perfect stop for a delicious lunch, a glass of local wine, or just to browse their charming little market. Inside, they have a small shop area featuring locally made goodies: honey, cheeses, cured meats, wines, and other treats. You order at the walk-up counter where the menu includes freshly made sandwiches, soups, chilis, salads, and other local favorites. Everything is made to order and comes out quickly. I ordered the Dundee Grinder, and it was absolutely fantastic, packed with flavor and definitely not stingy on the ingredients. The prices were very reasonable, especially considering the quality and freshness of the food. The staff was kind, helpful, and efficient, which made the whole experience even better. There are a few tables inside and a lovely outdoor patio in the back with a fireplace and a rain cover, perfect for enjoying your meal no matter the weather. Every little detail here, from the food to the ambiance, feels so thoughtful and welcoming. If you're in the Dundee area or wine tasting nearby, this spot is a must-visit. I'll definitely be recommending it to anyone heading this way!

The appetizers were delicious and fed a large party without us having to order multiples of each dish. For an entree, I had the pork, which I felt was a bit overcooked and lacking in flavor. One of the things I found oddest about the evening was the hours of the restaurant. We dined here on a Saturday night at 7:30 - immediately after we were sat we were told we needed to order promptly because the kitchen closes at 8:00. I still don't quite understand why you would allow reservations so close to a kitchen's closing time. It ended up making the meal feel a bit rushed and lackluster. Overall, it was a perfectly adequate meal but I'm not sure I would need to stop in here again.
