Honestly this place surprised me!! It's SUPER expensive for what you're getting though. Definitely not worth it financially. But the food was actually pretty decent and I enjoyed the uniqueness of their options. Service was good at the cash register but I think they forgot to serve us our food.

Interesting drinks. Very expensive for what it is but really delicious. Both the late nite Rita and mango chamoyada are good. The late nite Rita should get the straw too, but it doesn't.

A great unexpected surprise! Got to Crypto early to eat some of the new offerings and found this new Doritos After Dark spot! Wow, the decor is awesome, the lighting is cool, the seating was abundant, and the people were very helpful. We had some of the food all with Doritos in them, and they were awesome. I recommend the michelada, and nachos, they were super delicious. You may be thinking Taco Bell, but the Doritos shells and spices used were more abundant, so Taco Bell 2.0. Only downside side is obviously the price, but I got full and fully enjoyed my meal and it wasn't that much more expensive or maybe not even more expensive in some cases compared to some of the other places to eat in crypto. I definitely will be back here next time I go to a Lakers game!

Whoever thought this was a good idea?!? This is the worst food menus, no more servers, gotta walk up, order and they bring your food out. We used to look forward to sitting inside the arena before the game and having a server hustling our food and drink orders. No healthy choices, no chicken strips for grandson! This concept is lose-lose! And we were 30 minutes before game time, place was almost completely empty...get it together & get the old menu and service concept back ASAP!

Very cool and interesting concept for any Doritos fans out there! The food tasted good although it was a bit pricey. However, have to consider the fact that it is food purchased at a lakers game. Overall, would try again if attending another game!

Doritos Spicy Sweet Chili Chicken Bites and Doritos Cool Ranch Loaded Pita

A novel and unique spot to grab a quick bite and drinks before events inside Crypto.com Arena. This is the first physical Doritos After Dark location and it's only open to ticket holders during regularly scheduled events at the venue. The ambiance is casual. Orders are taken at the bar and servers bring the food and drinks to each table. There was no line when my friend and I visited and we received our food within 15 minutes. The employees were friendly and knowledgeable. We ordered the Doritos Spicy Sweet Chili Chicken Bites, Doritos Cool Ranch Loaded Pita, and Doritos Flamin' Hot Limon Mango Chamoyada. The chicken bites were the star of the show. They were perfectly moist, had great flavor, and the crushed Doritos added a nice crunch. The sweet chili dipping sauce ensured that the chicken wasn't dry. For a Doritos themed restaurant, the chips didn't have a great tie-in with the pita. The pita itself was good and had the right ratio between meat and yogurt sauce, but the Doritos were just tossed on part of the top and around the pita. It was just like eating a pita with Doritos on the side. The mango chamoyada was strong at first, but after mixing the drink, it was a standard chamoyada. The crushed Doritos rim was fun, but didn't provide the same tang I usually expect from the drink. Overall, this is a fun place to try for Doritos lovers. The prices and food quality were fair for event food.

Went to a Kings game at Crpto.com arena so had to stop by the Doritos spot. It's a restaurant, walk up and order, they'll give you a number and hopefully you can find a table. Food came relatively quick within 10 minutes. Ordered the taquitos, the ramen-rito and an ice cream cone, and was actually able to pick up the cone later so it doesn't melt while I'm eating the other items. Food was pretty good. Disclaimer tho, everything has a relative spice to it. Ramen-rito was the best item.

Hey, are you even 21??…read more I'm gonna need to see some ID before I can let you enter... (Moments later) You can't possibly be 21, you were born in 2005... (Counting backwards on my fingers) Oh. My. God, I'm getting old!!!! ---------------------------- Alright now that we got that out of the way.... Listen up, & Listen up Good. Cause Tonight, Tonight, I'm setting the Bar straight! Now,.... Make sure to hang onto your ID, stay plenty hydrated & be ready to pace yourself... Cause we are about to Hit the bar running and go full throttle with some virtual bar hopping. But first, let's see just how many styles of bars there really are. -Ahh the classic, no-frills Dive Bar -The Cocktail Bar/The Martini Bar -The Sports bar, The BeerGarden -The Pub, The Tavern, The Biker Bar (make sure you wear your best leather pants) -The Hotel Bar, The Rooftop Bar, The Lounge -The Night Club, The Comedy Club, The Karaoke Bar -The Tiki Bar, The Wine Bar -The hidden Speakeasy (my personal Fav.) And of course, where even at 8am there's no judgement passed... -The Airport Bar. Speaking of Traveling... Bonus: Consider yourself lucky if your hotel room just happens to have a well-stocked mini bar. (These are getting fewer and fewer as I travel) Yeah, each bar listed above has its own vibe, and depending on your mood, your own individual style or even what kind of night out on the town you are looking to have... The type of bar you choose is important. But sometimes, the Bar Chooses You! Bar Magnolia quietly enters the chat. It was October 11th, 2025 and my wife & I just checked into Hotel Figueroa in DTLA. (EPIC REVIEW Coming Soon!!!) While we were waiting for our room to be ready, we decided to check out the Hotel Bar Lounge... First thought, Color me Impressed! High ceilings, Natural lighting, classy decor, comfy couches... Yeah, take your time with that room, we'll wait! So we plopped down onto their sofa, waited for a cocktail menu, and let the "we left the kids at home with Grandma; let's enjoy being kid-free for the night begin". $18.00 cocktails....Lets Goooo!! Looking back at the Photos, I can't exactly recall what we ordered... Was it a whiskey sour? Was it a paper plane?? Honestly, Who cares! They tasted great. I was sitting across from a beautiful woman. And we were responsibly adulting. What more could a guy ask for?? I'm glad you asked! After a long car ride in, sipping on water, then the first few sips of my cocktail, I suddenly had to go... Luckily, the restrooms are located just adjacent to the bar area and DAMN are they clean!! Hey, if a bar restroom is well taken care of, you know the place has Class.... And Bar Magnolia has the Class to Match! Of course, there is bar stool seating at the bar... (I usually prefer sitting at the bar as there's always some great stories to be heard and when it time to order another round, you can literally just cut out the... Middle Man (Aka waiting for your server to come check back in) In addition to the bar top stools, there are also low top tables, and a few couch-chairs with a low top table for more intimate conversations. Besides those $18 craft cocktails, a short, well Curated list of bubbles, vino and draft beers are all up for grabs. Unfortunately, we had stopped to eat before we arrived (bad move on our part), but next time, and THERE WILL BE A NEXT TIME, we will definitely partake in their food menu (cause damn, did it look GOOD!) So whether you are a guest of Hotel Figueroa, you are leaving the Crypto Arena after a concert and want to paint the town red, or you are simply just wanting to sit, relax and enjoy a nice cocktail at a classy, upscale, but not so pretentious Cocktail Lounge... Bar Magnolia is your place! Well, it's almost closing time, they are about to call for Last Call, so order us another round, bottoms up and Cheers to us!!!

Once there, I was told happy hour is only Monday through Thursday. I pulled up their own website and showed it to the server. The response? A shrug. No apology, no explanation, no effort to make it right. This is straight-up false advertising, and the lack of accountability made it worse. If you're going to change your happy hour, update your website and train your staff to handle it professionally. I shouldn't have to argue with a bar over their own posted information. Won't be back.

We were able to get a seat on the coach and order drinks from the bar relatively quickly. Prices were pretty typical of LA ($18-25 a cocktail) but I would say I probably won't come back this late as it's in a shadier part of town. They have a bouncer and it was fine inside, but it's not a place where you can bar hop if that's what you're looking for as the area is seedy. Would be interested to try the food next time, but again, the safety and comfort of the light of day.

NOVEMBER 26.2025…read more I've been through many iterations of The Library Bar over the years... from small and cozy secret bar for those that work in the looming skyscrapers of Downtown LA to being some noisy urban hip hop affair that served godawful drinks (see my past review!), and on back to being a calm and casual neighborhood bar again. The interior never changes... dark... illuminated by candlelight... the bust of Shakespeare over the fireplace, the shelves of old books-- all of it remains intact. But this latest Library Bar seems to have finally dialed in what was always sorely missing in that it showcases a conscientious staff that all seem to know how to mix drinks while treating the customer well by leaving them be. On one night my date and I share a "Black Manhattan," basically a Manhattan with the generous addition of Averna, and it's terrific. On another night, I go for Happy Hour and a few pints of Guinness on draft that are surprisingly proper and go well with their excellent and, I'm told, homemade Hummus & Veggies Plate. The music at this current Library Bar is pretty much on point and is never so loud as to interfere with the conversations that patrons seem to come here for... something you should come here for too, and maybe at Happy Hour specifically if you're looking for a nice bump in your day and to spend an hour, well, happily.

To start, maybe my expectations were a bit high, but I was surprised that no banchan (side dishes) were served. That's usually something I look forward to at Korean restaurants, so it felt like something was missing. We ordered the kimchi pancake and the stir-fried kimchi with pork belly. The kimchi pancake was a bit too oily, and we had to cut it ourselves, which made it a little less enjoyable. The pork belly itself was decent, but it felt like you had to order additional items like tofu or fried rice to make it a more complete dish. It was also pretty uncomfortable inside--the space felt really hot, especially since the food was being cooked right in front of us on a portable stove. It didn't seem like the AC was on or working well, which made the experience less enjoyable overall. Considering the overall experience, the pricing felt a bit high for the level of service and quality provided. Overall, it wasn't a terrible experience, but there were a few things that made it fall short of expectations.

I had an old fashioned to start and I believe my girl had the spicy margarita. I didn't have an issue with my drink. I tasted cool. I wasn't expecting $18 tho but hey it's DTLA so I wasn't complaining. I bought the first round and she had us on the second. Not sure if she enjoyed hers as much as I did but we had a good time.
