Then I saw they were offering cookie decorating classes at THE KITCHEN STORE in Sacramento and rushed to sing my daughter and myself up. It was quite intimidating for me as I do not always color with-in the lines, but they made it so easy to follow along step by step, and after 2 hours I had created 5 perfectly decorated cookies and have a new skill that will last me a lifetime. We loved this class!

I've ordered custom cookies for a birthday, and they turned out better than expected. I was able to give them some ideas and let them get creative with the theme. I've also taken multiple cookie decorating classes, and they make them so fun and approachable. We definitely did a better job than we expected, and since they make the cookies and icing for you they're always delicious. I love the different themes they come up with throughout the year. Some classes can fill up quickly, so check out their social and website for the latest offerings. Sugar Sweetery also pops up at a lot of events, and through these pop ups I've tried cookies, macarons, oatmeal cream pies, cupcakes, cake pops, caramel apples, and more. All the treats they put out are delicious, and I love that they use seasonal ingredients and take inspiration from the kind of pop up they're at. I highly recommend following them on social media for their pop up schedule, class schedule, and latest treat offerings. They've become my go-to spot for decorated sugar cookies.

We were looking for a bakery to make white cake cupcakes without egg yolks for a celebration of life for our dear friend Cynthia. I called several bakeries in the Fair Oaks/Citrus Heights/Carmichael area and was told "we don't do that". I was very discouraged. I called Sweet Haven and the out going message said text or email. I emailed. Haven answered right away! He could make the cupcakes Cynthia requested! Hallelujah! Haven did not disappoint. We had 7 dozen cupcakes and they were delicious! And none left over. Any event/family party etc, please consider this bakery.

I like how many different options and flavors there were for their cakes, brownies, and cookies. She was super nice and let me pick out what kind of cut I wanted for my brownies (center or corners). I spent $41 on a set of 4 cupcakes, 1 brownie, 1 blondie, and 1 pack of 2 cookies. The cookies, brownie, & blondie were my fave parts. The cupcakes were a bit too dense/thick for me & just didn't really taste like the flavors I picked. But I enjoyed the unique flavors they had for the brownies and blondies. Inside is cute, no interior seating.

The level of detail was unbelievable, and the sugar flowers were so realistic that guests genuinely thought they were fresh florals. Beyond how stunning it looked, the cake tasted just as incredible. It's rare to find a cake that's both visually flawless and genuinely delicious, but Kellie absolutely delivered on both. Our guests are still talking about how beautiful and yummy it was. Kellie was wonderful to work with throughout the entire process creative, responsive, and clearly passionate about her craft. If you're looking for a cake that will completely elevate your event and leave a lasting impression, Palette Cakes is truly unmatched and worth the investment.

I beelined it over there to check them out. Why? Because I do luv a good bakery. As I walked into the shop, there was a gentleman at the counter. He turned out to be the owner, Carlos. Him and his wife own the shop which they opened about a year ago. She's the baker. Their speciality is custom order cakes. Gorgeous, sophistically designed cakes. But they are not a one trick pony. No sirree. They also sold cupcakes, trifles, cream puffs, and tarts. They were all sitting pretty looking divinely delicious in a refrigerated counter. I bought two cupcakes. One was a honey roasted peanut butter on chocolate cupcake and the other I forgot the name of. But it was a chocolate cupcake of some sort with a vanilla type of cream frosting. Those were $4.50 a piece. Carlos told me the cupcakes are cold but best eaten about 40 minutes to a hour at room temp. Sorry to say I had no will power to wait that long. They both got devoured shortly after I got back to my car. Even without the wait, it was delicious. Moist, flavorful cake. The frosting was delicious and piped on perfectly. Sure the frosting was a bit stiff when I ate it because I had no patience to let it settle to room temp, but it didn't take away from the taste. Homemade perfection.
