If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. I am absolutely livid! Parents, do not bother making requests for your child such as no nitrous! They will not listen nor honor your request. My daughter had a cavity treatment today and I made it very clear when I scheduled and rescheduled that I did NOT want nitrous. My husband reminded the staff when he walked in that we do NOT want nitrous. Well, they had a "mix up" gave it to my daughter and had the audacity to charge us for the nitrous as well! I had to call them for a refund on the nitrous! Can you believe it? No, they didn't call me! I called them! Cost is one thing, you cannot undo what I they gave my child! Unacceptable! Mistakes like this should not happen at a pediatric dentist! We will be going elsewhere. read more

Well, the first few years my son only needed cleanings went pretty good--until he needed something more. I guess the typical procedure for cavities is to use nitrous. First, my son didn't respond well to the nitrous, and so we left the office with one of his teeth is half drilled, but that wasn't the worst part. The worst was trying to schedule him to be put under so the cavities and some baby teeth extractions could take place without my son freaking out (he's 5). He wasn't good with the nitrous gas, the drilling, or the needle to numb his mouth. When my son freaks out, he goes for gold. To complete the work, we were offered to have him anesthetized, and that an upcoming Saturday appt was avail. Let me just say that this is all incredibly costly to do, but his teeth would be finished and he wouldn't have the bad memories he does now of his last appt there. However, it wasn't confirmed with the anesthesiologist when they offered the appt and it turned out he had other commitments after his first two appts that Saturday. Then, when we told them it was hard to do a Thursday appt (which seems to now be the only day he can come in), they said they were working on it. Then, they said they got a date two Saturdays later and the anesthesiologist and dentist were on board and the doctor said she would get in a temp or two if need be. Then that was cancelled again. Then more texts, phone calls and a lot more Thursday offers put on and taken off the table...until we said it was enough. As a bonus, I was just on a "but we're still okay, right?" call today with the office. There was a sorry, somewhere in there, but it was mostly a sorry our schedules didn't align...not a sorry we told you we could then couldn't then could then couldn't then could then couldn't. To be honest, no, it is not okay... my sons tooth is half drilled and I have to find a new dentist and start this process all over again. Anyway, while everyone in the office is nice, there is a major disconnect between the doctor and the scheduler and they really need an alternative to the one anesthesiologist they use. He's incredibly expensive (note: we never got the full cost... just the estimate of over $600) and the few hours he "gives" to that office is a few appts each month during the week. So if your child only needs cleanings and isn't freaked out by the sound of a drill, it's a good dental office. Otherwise, save yourself multiple texts, phone calls, broken promises, and money and find a child's dentist that is there when your really need it. read more

Brace yourself this is a long one. But parents looking for an amazing dentist for your little one, please read. My daughter had a few visits with other dentists and it was just awful. She was forced through exams and rushed through x-rays, all while being so terrified and hysterical. Turns out she needed a baby root canal and fillings and treatment they described to me sounded as though we were living in the 30's, with straps and hallucinogenic meds...just awful. I never looked back. I needed another opinion and a kid friendly dentist. A friend referred me to Dr. Dora Lee's office. They have a welcoming kid friendly lobby which is nice for the kids but they have the warmest thoughtful caring staff of any medical office I've ever been too. Our first visit was several months ago. My daughter did sooooooo much better but was still scared due to her previous experiences. What I love about this office is they offer a few different sedation methods depending on the level of anxiety and fear your child has. We opted for general anesthesia and have been trying to schedule it but she seems to always have the sniffles come her appointment date and they must be healthy to under go anesthesia. So as we wait for the right time to have the surgery performed, we decided to bring her in for a "happy" visit, which was a check up and cleaning. Fast forward several months from her first visit here and with one positive experience at the office under her belt and...see picture attached. SHE SAT THROUGH AN EXAM AND A CLEANING!!!!!!!!!!!! She was chatting and so excited about her movie and sticker she was going to get. Her hygienist was Sandra. (if you read this Sandra, thank you from the bottom of my heart for your kindness and patience towards our babies). You changed her perspective on dental visits, we are so grateful! And thank you to Sandra (the other Sandra, who handles the sedation scheduling) for you being so amazing and caring and so pleasant to work with. Thank you returning my emails and calls promptly and for genuinely caring. If you are looking for a dentist for your children, I can't imagine finding anything better. ESPECIALLY, if your child has a fear of the chair or the dentist. They are really wonderful and patient. I look forward to a very long relationship with this office. read more

We used to come to this pediatric dentist but they started to propose work on my son's teeth that really didn't have cavities ( I was a dentist before). We moved to my general dentist that confirmed that my son didn't have any cavities. He has really good oral habits from when he was little. I kept all his primary teeth and none of them have cavities. I think they got frustrated that he is one of a few kids that actually take good care of his teeth and they needed to make some money other than just hygiene visits. I was really disappointed. The staff is really great though especially Sandra and Gina. I was so sad to leave but I had to do the right thing. read more

Wonderful staff! Everyone made my 3 year old feel so safe and welcomed. He usually has anxiety with things such as doctors and haircuts. He had negative experiences at other dentists. When his pediatrician recommended Dora Lee, we gave it a shot, after all we knew bad dental genes were in our family and that our little boy needed to be in good hands-and he definitely was! Ok his first visit he even took a picture with his dentist that he received in the mail a few days later (that was exciting). We had his major dental work, baby root canal and cavities completed with an amazing anesthesiologist that was there as well, Dr. Stafford. Even though they were out of network with my particular insurance, we still paid the difference because the quality was worth it! Never coming back here again! Thought the doctor is really nice, there's a number of reasons that we will never come back. For started, they are extremely costly. One cavity cost over $200 (!!) even though I have dental insurance. Secondly, they kept charging me with monies every time I went there. Third, apparently They have a policy of 48 hours cancellation which they never mention, as they call you 24 hours before to confirm and Thought I Was canceling on time, however they just billed me $25 for not giving their 48 hour notice which most places require 24 hours before and of course nobody mentioned that on the phone. Just one cavity ended up costing me $400 and I feel cheated. I will never go back and I do not recommend going there unless you are extremely wealthy. Very very disappointed. I thought they were nice people. But they proved me wrong and I am very upset about the principle of having to pay $25. read more

I am so so SOOOOO F-word thankful for the patience of the staff and their understanding. Any autism parent knows the feelings of apprehension, the feelings of dread, feelings of people not being able to accommodate the hard demands of an autistic child; prolonged entry into the dentist office, screaming at the staff, hitting, running away.. But this place did. The staff continued to assure us and everybody was so helpful. No one said anything bad, everybody was encouraging. Helpful - they catered to Lycans needs - they weren't rushing us or being pushy. They stood to the side, offered help - continued to tell us not to worry.. God Bless all the staff here. This children dentist is by far the best place I've found where they can take care of my son with special needs. They are by far the sweetest and most caring office compared to other places I've been to in the past. Any parent who has a child with any special needs or autism know the struggle of finding a dentist that is caring and most importantly very understanding when dealing with a special need child who has anxiety with doctor offices. Wow. Never thought I would gush about a dentist, but this place is worth it! Just took my 2.5 year old twins in, and the office was fabulous. Warm and inviting from the moment you walk in. Sweet receptionists, and plenty of toys and books in the waiting area for kids. Oh, and they email you the paperwork ahead of time so you can fill it out and submit it online, instead of doing that while wrangling your kids in the waiting room! The hygienists - Sandra and Kiana - were absolute sweethearts. They made not only my girls feel at ease, but me, too. That's a big one! They made sure my girls got to be in chairs next to each other, which comforted them and made it easier on me. They talked the girls through each step, encouraging them and playing with them, all the while doing a complete and thorough exam and cleaning. Plus, with the movie playing on the ceiling, I'm not even sure my kids noticed the dental work ha! Dr Bradley was calm and patient, and took her time explaining everything to me about each of my girls. They still use pacifiers at night, and I thought we'd get in "trouble" for that - but Dr Bradley was nothing but kind and explained that when we were ready to give them up, that was fine, but we didn't need to force it. That put me at ease - I'm not a fan of doctors shaming patients, and she did nothing of the sort. While Dr Bradley was explaining all this, the hygienists were rockstars again, occupying my girls by giving them stickers and little toys, allowing me to really focus on what Dr Bradley was explaining. They even make the kids handwritten cards with their names written beautifully, and a sweet personalized note, as well as their picture from that day. They've thought of everything! Checkout was a breeze, and payment was reasonable for our out-of-pocket services. The whole office and staff is genuine and AMAZING - we had such a great experience, and will be back in 6 months! read more

Very nice and welcoming place. Took my sun for the first time and soon as I opened the door, was greeted with Hello and smiles. Once it was time for my son's cleaning, they gave him some really cool shades and he was able to watch Moana on the screen which is in the ceiling so that children cam watch/be distracted while getting work done. Dr Lee's office is absolutely the best combination of professionalism and warmth. The staff engaged and encouraged my daughter during her cleaning and she came home with a prize and a personalized picture card from Dr Lee afterwards. My daughter had several cavities and Dr Lee was able to complete her treatment with the state of the art Solea laser using no anesthesia. She could eat immediately because she wasn't numb and she said it felt like a water shower in her mouth. As others have posted, even with pre-approved visits, expect to pay 3x what they originally quote you. Also, they push x-rays during a consultation exam, which also adds to your bill. Don't believe the estimate they give you. Insist on having them get the services pre-approved before visiting. I will not be returning, as the last visit has left a very bad taste in my mouth. While the staff appears to be friendly and the doctor appeared competent, the financial side of the office leaves much to be desired. Buyer beware. read more

Dr Lee and Dr Bradley are both amazing. Both of my daughters had to go under general anesthesia for their dental work. As a parent this was a very very scary thing! The anesthesiologist dr. Stafford extremely thorough! He called me several times prior to surgery to ensure our daughters were in optimal health for anesthesia. Dr. Bradley, Dr. Lee, and Dr. Stafford even called us at home to check on our girls post surgery. The office does not take general anesthesia lightly which is what you want from both the anesthesiologist and a dentist. The office is amazing but i took away a star based on the amount of time we waited on the general anesthesia waitlist. Most dental offices have a waitlist of 30 to 45 days.
