I called around 11 a.m. after the rack on top of my car caught the bottom of the garage door while I was backing out. The door had only opened about three quarters of the way, which bent the bottom section and knocked one of the rollers out of the track. The woman who answered was incredibly kind and scheduled a same day appointment between 1 and 3 p.m. She followed up around 2 to let me know Mike would arrive between 2:30 and 3. I really appreciated the clear communication. Mike was quick, knowledgeable, and honest, and he didn't try to upsell me. He replaced the damaged bottom bar, put everything back in place, and tested the door. When he noticed it was still opening only partway, he adjusted the motor and spring until it opened fully. The repair took about an hour, and the door now works more quietly and smoothly than before the accident. He also explained that worn bearings and pulleys were putting extra stress on the spring and motor. Rather than pressure me into additional work, he explained what would eventually need attention and gave me the information I needed to share with my landlord. My landlord and the company are now in contact about an estimate for the remaining repairs.
