Came here for a Badger game with my fiance and his dad. We ordered some drinks and then some appetizers. The beer and Irish Coffee were great! The appetizers were the exact opposite. We had the mango jolokia chicken wings, nachos, and cheese curds. You could tell the wings were from the freezer and the sauce was not hot at all....it tasted like mango jelly. The nachos were covered in cheese wiz but at least the jalapenos on it were spicy. We have had the cheese curds on prior visits and they usually have been decent; however, tonight they were likely put in the deep fryer before the oil was hot and were over cooked, which resulted in cheeseless oil cubes. Our servers were nice but did not seem overly concerned with the guests they were supposed to be serving. read more

The food was inedible. Very disappointed because we used to love it there. The chicken wild rice soup was from a can and was awful. The Irish Stew used to be so good. It also tasted like it came from a can but had massive amounts of nearly raw onion added. We will not go back. Wish I had listened to the other reviews instead of wasting my money. read more

I ordered a veggie dog and cheese curds. The food is alright the quesadillas are nothing special. The service is so awful, there were 7 at my table and I got my food last, and by last I mean 35 minutes later and it took about 15-30 minutes for our appetizers to come out which was a very large pretzel and onion rings. I wanted a veggie dog and when they brought out everyone else's food the waitresses informed me that they don't have vegetable hotdogs anymore. So I got half a quesadilla and it is nothing special very greasy though. The cheese curds were too greedy not good at all, the cheese was barley melted. Would not go to, service was just so bad we were planning to down an hour here but ended up spending about 2 hours. read more

I used to love going to Dooley's, but the past couple of times it's been terrible. One time, I went with a small group of friends midafternoon; food tasted off, service was slow, despite there being few people there. Another time, I went there for dinner with my roommate. Our waitress ignored us for quite a while before taking our orders, and never refilled our drinks, despite hailing her down several times (or, at least, trying to), and once she finally stopped, forgot to bring over the drinks. We ended asking a different waiter, who was nice, at least. When our orders arrived, mine was the wrong order, and my roommate's was cold. Mogie's is right next door, and they have the best burgers I have ever had, and the servers are always very nice. I haven't been back to Dooley's in months, and I never will go back. read more

I picked one star because 0 wasn't an option, this place was horrible. Not really anyone eating just a few people drinking and for a chicken sandwhich it took over 35 minutes. And the onion rings still had wet batter inside that wasn't cooked. If the wait wasn't fun then u got to listen to either the manager? I've read many reviews on here and, honestly, I'm confused. This is, first and foremost, a college bar/grill that happens to cater to people of all ages. If you are looking for Michelin stars, this isn't your place, but if you are looking for a beer and burger, there are few better places to go. The staff is great, and if you are just looking for a place to unwind, I can't think of anywhere better to go. I will say this is the best bar/grill on Water Street. read more

I have been to Dooley's many times, and it is an amazing place to watch any game! they have almost every sports channel, from hockey to rugby. They always have quick and prompt service and good food that is served quite quickly. I like that you can go in there any time of day or night and there is always sports on TV. they don't blast the music like the other bars on water street do. its a good place to watch a good game, have a few beers and burgers and still be able to talk to the person next to you. read more

This is the second time my wife and I have walked out of this place. We were there on a Friday evening and I expect places to be busy. We waited about 5 minutes and the bartender told us to sit wherever we wanted. There was a table by the door that was open. We sat down and waited for a server. Again they were busy. The bartender and the owner saw us sitting there. Two different servers walked by us. Not even a I'll be right with you or an acknowledgement of us. We waited for about 10-12 minutes. A server came our way and sat the the couple behind us. This is the second time this has happened to us! NEVER again. The owner saw us leave. I hope he said something to his staff!! read more
