They sell Key Lime Pie feeling in a squeeze bag. I wanted to turn that thing on end and squeeze into my mouth. Reminded me of the old I Love Lucy show. So everything was decided on the phone and email. We had her make 3 cakes; strawberry for the bridal cake, chocolate for the groom's cake and another vanilla cake in order to server 150 guests. My wife sent pictures of the decorations for the bride and groom's cake. The cake arrived timely and was decorated beautifully. The best part is that everyone loved the cakes!! There was not one piece left except the top piece saved for the bride and groom. We had that the next day when our family (and the bride and groom) got together for lunch. It was too good to store in a freezer for a year! The cost was very reasonable. I highly recommend this bakery. I will stop by on my way to visit my daughter to pick up cupcakes!!

Smooth and perfectly rich. My hot latte's milk was expertly steamed. The shop is large with plenty of seating. The staff was fast and friendly, and the bathroom was very clean. What more can you ask for in a coffee shop in a small town? Well, they had a lot of delicious looking pastries in their display case, but alas, we just ate lunch. When I picked it up, it did not look like my inspiration pictures. There were purple flowers on the sides with pink one (no purple in the inspiration pic), no pearls, no vintage lattice work-just pipped the flowers on the sides with green stems (no stems in the pic) and the top writing. I was disappointed. I asked them to include blue flowers to balance out that it felt a little too girly, and they went back and added them which made it look better. I am not sure if the inspo pics got lost in the shuffle or if too much creative lee-way was taken but either way, I felt a little let down but was not going to let it ruin my day. However, on the drive home I still felt like it was pretty, but just not what I had in mind. I decided to call Bittersweet which is local to us and ask if they could add a few elements like the lattice and pearls. Faith was so kind on the phone and told me to bring it in being also clear that they aren't gluten free. I understood, but since we don't have true allergies I told her I was comfortable with them fixing it. It would not medically harm anyone if there was cross contamination. When I got there I showed her the original picture and sent it to her personal phone. Later I went to pick it up after taking my little to lunch, it came out it and was FANTASTIC! They added all the elements it was missing that I wanted and loved. It still doesn't exactly match my pictures but it looks SO cute now and I am very very happy! When I went to pay, she told me to just go enjoy my cake and that they were happy to help. THIS is how you win business, friends!! I ordered the Petite Turkey Cranberry Sandwich which comes with turkey, lettuce, apple, cream cheese and honey drizzle. It was the perfect size for traveling and didn't leave me overly full. Really makes me wonder why cream cheese isn't used in more savory kolaches. Outside of that one they have a wide selection that has consistently provided hits when I try something new. The ham is not cheap deli sliced ham - it's actual ham ground up. The meat to cheese ratio was a little off for my preference (stuffed full of meat, needed a little more cheese to help cut the salt) but I plan to go back and try more when passing through again.
