They had a lot of choices to pick from. I ordered a regular sausage, jalapeño sausage w/ cheese, and a cinnamon roll. What stole the show for me was the cinnamon roll. I was concerned that it was barely had any frosting on top but it was perfect! I wasn't a fan of the jalapeño sausage but I did like the original plain. Maybe just too much bread for my liking. This place has a lot of unique pictures on the walls and different flavors of pastries to buy. Definitely stop by if you're on a road trip!

After about 10 minutes my name was called, I grabbed my order and we were off. As far as the food goes it was delicious. I ordered the Petite Turkey Cranberry Sandwich which comes with turkey, lettuce, apple, cream cheese and honey drizzle. It was the perfect size for traveling and didn't leave me overly full. Overall, Collin Street Bakery was a good place to stop with a clean atmosphere, friendly staff, and several bakery food options.

Walk past all the Knick knacks and country gifts and you'll find a tiny gem of a bakery the back. It's small, deceiving in a good way, as the treats are really good. I didn't get pics, tho I had the pecan brownie and grabbed some blueberry pastries. Both were were wicked good! Brownie was moist but good crisp on the outside. The pastures stayed overnight for breakfast. God taste, not overly sweet, worth the grab.

But if you want brisket, look out! I've never seen a more miserly portion offered for 13 dollars. I understand that brisket is expensive now. But I still get it at various restaurants and have to say that it was a five dollar sandwich for thirteen bucks. Additionally, the sandwich maker apparently does not know what and order for "moist" brisket means. Mine proved rather dry.

Today I picked up my gender reveal cake from a different bakery. We do gluten free- loosely for my…read morekids so that's what I got- had to drive a ways too. When I picked it up, it did not look like my inspiration pictures. There were purple flowers on the sides with pink one (no purple in the inspiration pic), no pearls, no vintage lattice work-just pipped the flowers on the sides with green stems (no stems in the pic) and the top writing. I was disappointed. I asked them to include blue flowers to balance out that it felt a little too girly, and they went back and added them which made it look better. I am not sure if the inspo pics got lost in the shuffle or if too much creative lee-way was taken but either way, I felt a little let down but was not going to let it ruin my day. However, on the drive home I still felt like it was pretty, but just not what I had in mind. I decided to call Bittersweet which is local to us and ask if they could add a few elements like the lattice and pearls. Faith was so kind on the phone and told me to bring it in being also clear that they aren't gluten free. I understood, but since we don't have true allergies I told her I was comfortable with them fixing it. It would not medically harm anyone if there was cross contamination. When I got there I showed her the original picture and sent it to her personal phone. Later I went to pick it up after taking my little to lunch, it came out it and was FANTASTIC! They added all the elements it was missing that I wanted and loved. It still doesn't exactly match my pictures but it looks SO cute now and I am very very happy! When I went to pay, she told me to just go enjoy my cake and that they were happy to help. THIS is how you win business, friends!! ANYTIME, I am ordering goodies, back to school treats for teachers, holiday yummies or cakes that aren't for my GF kids, I will be getting them from Bittersweet!!!! Thank you, Faith!!!
