When he arrived, he was professional, friendly, and did an excellent job cleaning my yard. It looked great when he was finished. I also want to give a special thank you to the receptionist who helped me sign up for the one-time service. I had just lost my dog of six years after she unexpectedly had a seizure and passed away. On top of the heartbreak, I had to pay for her cremation, so I couldn't afford the higher prices that some other companies were charging. When I called Doo Doo Squad, the receptionist was incredibly kind, respectful, and empathetic during such a difficult time. Her compassion meant more to me than she probably realizes. I had a great experience with this company. They came 2x a week to pick up after my two large dogs in big backyard. They always send confirmation texts before coming and they show up within that timeframe. They also send photo confirmation that they closed any entrances they used. This is why we love The Squad: - They responded quickly to my inquiry - It was super easy to get my questions answered and pricing. One I decided to try them out, I got scheduled quickly. - Their communication is superb. It's frequent, but not annoying. It's just right for what you need to know, like when your Squad tech is heading your way (so if you spazz-out like me and forget to unlock the gate, you get a moment to do so) - They do a thorough job, yet are so stealth that you would never know they were there. The only thing I don't love is that they give you a text option to tip your tech. I know we are tip-happy in the US, and I don't want to feel like I have to tip every week on top of the fee. I would rather they charged more and that was it. I know it's a service, but it's a weekly service. I don't tip my gardener each week or my housekeeper. I give them bonuses around the holidays. Love this service for a large 16 unit complex I manage. We have had issues with feral cats for a while now but the folks over at Doo Doo Squad come by once a week and pick up the mess. They always do a good job and on the rare case they miss something, the techs are great about coming back and following instructions to take care of anything we ask for. She gave us time to rearrange the payment information and the dogs absolutely love the people who pick up their poop. I called and spoke with a lady today and was quoted for $174.66 and everything was set up and sounded great. Then I received my sales receipt and it was $274.32. I immediately called them back and asked why this happened and they explained a price breakdown with a total that was not discussed in the previous call. I was able to speak to the lady that initially quoted me and I said "why did you tell me I would only be paying $174.66 today and then charge me $274.32" and she said that she didn't recall telling me that. I asked them for a refund and they said it takes 5-10 business days. I informed them that I don't mind paying the $274.32 for the services but I don't appreciate the way they handle their business or their customers and how they quote different prices than what they bill for and that is why I have requested a refund. Maybe next time they will be more honest, when telling a customer pricing info but I do not recommend a business that does this to its customers. Update: Unfortunately, the below response from the company is inaccurate as well. I repeated the amount back to the lady on the phone several times as I was writing them in my notebook. I even mentioned to the lady that I was writing them down so I can remember what she quoted for the pricing. I also do not have a baby I have children ages 3 and up so that doesn't make sense either. The manager hung up on me while trying to get a issue resolved and then cancel my account without telling me what the final bill would be if I chose to cancel my account then deleted my account blocked my number so I was not able to reach him anymore. I think that is the most unprofessional way to handle business, especially if you're giving me options and you're not allowing me to choose what option best suits me and you make the decision for me. It's pathetic. Half of their technicians are nice not all of them. They don't follow directions. Clearly they left our gate open where our dogs could get out they don't know how to lock the gate, which is bottling common sense definitely the most unprofessional business I've ever had to deal with. I reached out to set up service and was informed there was an enrollment or set up fee of $25.00 as well as paying $21.00 per week, for a total of $109.00. They do have a promo that if you pay for two months up front you receive a month free of service. I don't pay enrollment fees. Why should I have to pay you for your business to put my information into a computer system? Just like tipping, this is getting out of hand. I called and asked for the enrollment fee to be waived and was told that they could only waive $5 because they have the promotion of the free month if I paid two months in advance. How did they know I would want to do that, first of all, and second of all, it no longer makes the month free, now does it. I went with a local company that was $14 per week with zero start up fees. I have been using this service since earlier this year and never had an issue however a few weeks ago animal control showed up at my home stating I was reported for neglecting my dog and no one but Doo Doo Squad technicians have access to my backyard or dog. I have had my dog for almost 2 years and never had an issue until now. The company denies calling animal control and I requested to cancel my services and the company still is charging me for services I'm no longer receiving. I would not use this company or trust them especially with your money because being billed after canceling services is horrendous and disgusting.
