Went on a Saturday morning about 9am. Stayed for about 30 min to eat our breakfast. Was very busy. Constant stream of customers while we were there. I had the bacon, sausage, egg and cheese donut sandwich. It was good. Not the best I have ever had. Defiantly not the worst. Good and different. Almost have to eat it with a for its so sticky. My kids had some donuts. They were bringing fresh donuts out constantly while we were there. I would give this place 4 stars but the lady the took our order was not friendly at all. She was not rude, but she did not make us feel welcome. She seemed a little stressed out and mad. Other than that... Great place to eat breakfast. read more

Love this place. Probably the best doughnuts in town, with a huge selection of different kinds of doughnuts that are always extremely fresh. The maple-bacon doughnuts are a must try. For lunch they have a pretty good menu of Asian dishes, including a really good (if a little small) bangh-mi that they call "the Asian persuasion". Everything is really fresh and the owners are always really friendly and nice. read more

Fantastic, melt in your mouth, glazed donuts. The kolaches are large with a sweet and savory goodness. The donuts with fruity pebbles on top are eye catching but the cereal had become soggy and the flavor wasn't spectacular. My favorite donut place overall. read more

So I'm in San Angelo for 3 days and I try and go to donutopia. The first attempt (my fault) I arrived at 5pm on a Friday and they close at 4pm???? Really 4pm seems early but ok. So today is Saturday and I guess 4 is even too late to stay open so they close at 3pm. I arrive at 2:42 and the place is closed locked up with no sign or reason why? If you are not open when you post your hours on Yelp and trip advisor put a sign up!! Donuts are as good as Voodoo donuts in Portland, Wa! Super nice entrepreneur. The fresh rolls seem to be the way to go. Huge, and not just willed w lettuce, etc. I am a big fan of Bun dishes. Mine was fresh, but not as good as the fresh rolls. read more

Best donuts in town for sure. There are so many donut places on the East side of town, but nothing compares to Donutopia. My one complaint is that they don't do Coffee and Espresso! My dad flew in from the NW, and the menu had Cappuccino and Lattes advertised; we ordered one of each, and the dude gave us both a dixie up and directed us to the nasty insto-latte machine that you'd see at a gas station. Choices included Caramel, Vanilla, or Hot Chocolate. WTH?? I'm not saying put in a Starbucks here, but invest a grand in a decent espresso setup. read more

Fantastic selection of great donuts. Very courteous too! We needed 5 dozen for a large group and these donuts did not disappoint. Lots of variety, fresh, and creative. Definitely one of the best dining experiences I have had. Firstly, don't let the name fool you. This place has amazing Cambodian dishes for lunch that are both fresh and flavorful. Secondly, the owners are exceptional. The gentleman was welcoming and personable during our experience. This place has such awesome reviews but I don't know why. I wanted to try the red velvet donut that everyone seems to be raving about in the reviews. Came in and it took about a few minutes till someone greeted us. Red velvet is not available. The person that helped us was nice. I ordered the donutopia philly cheese stake . I figured I cannot go wrong with the "signature dish." It took awhile for them to make it and we got entertained with a loud unprofessional discussion with the boss and an employee. This employee was loud and rambunctious. The boss tried to calm him down but to no avail. My order finally came and it was disappointment. There was hardly any meat in it. I only got 5 small pieces. More tiny green bell peppers and onions. It had processed cheese aswell. I tried the maple barbarian cream donut and it was good, but its not enough for me to come back and eat at donutopia again... I always read reviews, especially the one with 1 star. I laughed so hard I could not breath. The first single star...well.. that person kept going there when they were CLOSED. Hello. The second bad review was for bad service. This establishment does not have waiter service, you go up to the counter and purchase your food and walk over to a table and eat it. No mention of the food. I guess he just sat there and waved his arm expecting someone to leap over the counter and crawl to his table. These are people who should never go out to eat and have all writing devices removed from their home. read more

Bear claws-- nom nom nom! We've gone here several times and have always enjoyed the donuts. Today was the first time they had bear claws in the case (or more likely, the first time I've been there early enough to get them), and they were fantastic. Flakey, not too greasy, and packed with apples. Before today the blueberry donut was my favorite, but I think it's been bumped (although those are still great, too!). I haven't tried any of the hot food, which is pretty much the only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5; I hope to have lunch there soon, and if that is as good as the donuts I'll be back to change the rating to a 5. read more
