Donuts are good, the breakfast burrito was a little twangy. We enjoyed our donuts, had several different kinds all were good. I'd stick with those. We ordered a few burritos and mine had something moldy in there, I'm guessing the cheese. It took a while to get the mold taste out of my mouth. read more

This has to be the best donuts I have ever had. They are not too sweet and coked to perfection. They epitomize everything a donut is suppose to be. It doesn't stop there either. The Asian food is great. I have only had the pho and the Cambodian BBQ, but they are both fantastic. Best I have ever had for both dishes. I plan to return to try more before I head back to Houston. I stopped by here on the way to the airport heading back to Cali. Back home, we have donut burgers, but nothing like what donutopia has to offer. The donut was fluffy and had the right amount of sweetness. The patty itself was nicely seasoned and the cheese was very gooey. The combination was delightful. As true as the reviews say, this place is the spot for any asian food cravings while living in San Angelo. My friend and I both had the pho. Originally from southern California and being a huge pho fan, I can say that the pho here is actually really good! The broth is a bit salty but definitely homemade and has no MSG. They put pieces of white meat chicken that they've shredded by hand and bite size pieces of beef. It's small for $7 but the quality is worth it. read more

I have been searching the area for great donuts and have finally found them. As a fan of Old Fashioned and buttermilk donuts, the selection in the area has been lacking. Don't get me wrong, there are some nice places and friendly people behind the counter, but not the variety I was after until discovering Donutopia. First visit today, but the Old Fashioned donuts were excellent, and there is a great variety (including French, Maple Bacon, Red Velvet Oreo, etc,). I will be back often! read more

This place is truly amazing. A hidden gem. Family owned and operated, the service is one I've never experienced. Conversation with owner and staff was like catching up with friends. After reading rave reviews of Donutopia and going to their website to check out beautiful pictures of their donuts (they look so shiny!), I was excited to try it. Donutopia did not disappoint. Loved their donuts! I got a twist and my partner in crime got a eclair filled with raspberry filling (they filled it on-the-spot). We also both got iced coffees (also made to order!). We also got a sausage and jalapeno kolache (they call 'em sausage rolls), which was good. The folks that run the place are super nice and told us about the yummy Cambodian noodles served on Tues and Wed. Def worth stopping by! read more

Truly enjoyed my Cambodian Bbq plate with chicken, steak, rice, and pickled vegetables. Food tasted great, was healthy, and a decent price. Nice Thai tea. OMG ... as good as it gets indeed! My wife and I visited this innocuous donut shop on a recommendation received while out grocery shopping and my-oh-my were we impressed by BOTH the Asian cuisine (!) prepared within AND the light and flaky, ever-so-tasty pastry! My wife ordered a Pho for lunch while I sampled an off-the-menu Ginger chicken ... we both honestly attest that this was the best Asian cuisine that we have eaten in San Angelo TX since returning to the area three years ago. My Ginger chicken was brought to me first, and consisted of a small-ish portion of grilled chicken served with a side white rice. The rice was nothing special ... white, sticky rice drizzled with a bit of shoyu. The chicken, however, was absolute bliss. Very distinct ginger and lemongrass flavors marched across my tongue as I enjoyed every bite of this poultry delight. I was able to sample my wife's pho and the broth was as flavorful as my ginger chicken. A very distinct basil flavor came through the beefy broth, making this soup very slurp-worthy! After finishing my meal, I was intrigued by their own version of a cheeseburger ... a fried patty layered with a slice of cheese, situated between a sliced glazed donut. Gluttony overtook me as I ordered one "to-go" ... which I ended up eating there at the shop! Their "cheeseburger" was very, very good ... sweet and fatty are truly best of friends ... but on the advice of another diner there, I dabbed a bit of Sriracha before trying my next bite ... OM-double God!!! Sweet-fatty-spicy ... it can't get any better than this!!! read more

I came in (for the first time) just after they opened this morning and my experience was simply magical! Everything was fresh, and some things were even warm, including the raised coconut donut that was made for me on the spot using a hot glazed donut (because I wasn't interested in any of the three varieties of coconut-topped cake donuts on display). If you, too, find yourself there at 6:00, treat yourself to a fresh blueberry cake donut, and perhaps "something still warm." [All of the other donuts that I ate were wonderful, too, BTW.] I imagine it gets pretty busy here later in the morning, so the amazing customer service I received might have been due to the fact that I was the first (and only) customer, and that the display case was already stocked. This place I could not believe they made pho. This is the best lil hidden secret of San Angelo. The broth tasted great and not too heavy if that make any sense. I'm originally from Vegas and we have a few selected pho places that we always go to and if donutopia was in Vegas they would give the competition a run for their money. Plus to top it off their donuts are really good so if you have any room left for dessert after eating the pho ur in good hands. My only negative comment I would make is that they're not open in the evenings. But the food is great as well as the service. read more

Single star rating due to poor service. We were visiting from out of town and were on the hunt for traditional kolachys. When I walked in, I asked if they had traditional round, sweet kolachys and she was very rude and condescending stating that, "I have no idea what you are talking about." and "We can just take a regular donut and fill it." Well, the donuts are great! Hence the name Donutopia. They rival anything we have in Dallas. But that's not all that they have. Their Cambodian beef and chicken stew is great for getting filled up during lunch. Very clean and has a lot of variety. Staff was nice and didn't make a fuss when I changed my mind on heating up some kolaches.

I stopped by for a bowl of Pho. It was pretty good. I didn't quite get as much as I thought I paid for but the taste was very good. Needed more vegetables. The lady in the back was very nice. The menu is in a folder and you just order the pho. That's it. I'd be more interested in seeing how it is eating in instead of carrying out. After reading such great reviews of both the donuts and the Asian cuisine I decided it was time to try Donutopia!! Unfortunately I found it unsatisfactory. The staff was great and it's a cute shop but I really didn't care for any of the food. I got a ginger chicken dish and my husband opted for the donut burger. My dish had loads of fresh (but basically raw) and really crunchy ginger in it and the taste was wholey overpowering. I paid almost $8 for the meal and took one bite. My husbands donut burger was alright - however the patty was something along the lines of what you would find on a mcdonalds cheeseburger though. If I return to Donutopia it will defiantly be for only the donuts. read more
