ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING I've been coming here for years and the more I stop by the more I'm disgusted. There is a guy who currently works there who couldn't be bothered to do his job. This morning had I looked around before running my card i'd have cancelled my order. I don't know if this place has been cleaned since they opened years ago. It seems to be a storage unit for random crap. I am following this review with a heath dept complaint. Get home open my lemon filled donut (that is clearly days old) and this is what i see. I don't recommend this business at all. The young man at the register is either paranoid or just plain rude. If you begin to walk away without your credit card fully clearing processing , which I did because I'm trying to wrangle a small child, donuts, and get the credit card back in my purse , he will yell at you and pull his jacket back to show he has a gun. Goodest of mornings Yelpmates. Once again we arise in the glorious first world together. So here I am, sharing with you another first world experience. Simple, nothing stupendous, but just as pleasurable as if I were in some far off wonderful place. It's donut time in Junction City, Kansas. Where do I go? Where everyone that knows goes. The Palatial Estate of Donutrous Confectionery- "Donut Palace". It's not all fancy schmancy, but they do donuts fit for royalty. Imagine you take the best french pastry chef in France, all of his knowledge, then make her 8 years old with all that knowledge but an 8 year old sweet tooth, and passion for donuts. Exactly. You know the glaze on a chocolate twist is going to be like slapping a full on Hersheys candy bar, on a twist, then melting it. That thick, chocolatey, and covered. That's how Palace does it. They let the kid within them loose on these donuts. Cinnamon rolls as big as your head. And here's the catch, you know how you see a Cinnamon roll, it looks sooo good, but you know it won't taste near as good as it looks? Not these. These look super goldeny good, and taste amazingly close to the way you told yourself you hoped it'd taste. That good. I got mine home, didn't even nuke it to warm it up. It was perfect out of the box. Just lip smackin', tongue wackin' good. So go do your crossfit, your hot yoga with a goat on your back, some push ups, crunches, burpees, then get over to the Donut Palace for an exceptionally great reason to cheat on your fitness program. If you're into fitness, how about fitniss Cinnamon roll in your mouth? These doughnuts are awesome! Haven't had a bad one yet. Also, if you order a dozen doughnut holes, they tend to give you a few extra It's the little things like this that people remember and come back for! Also, I usually get a mixed box and it's usually under $10 so I'm not sure what those other reviewers were complaining about. You want an expensive doughnut? Go to a Krispy Kreme store! There you'll pay out the @$$ for an okay doughnut that's shrinking in size by the day! Donut Palace has great doughnuts at an excellent price point!!! I've even gone at the very end of the day and bought "old" ones and they were even really good lol! Highly recommend this place! read more

I rave about these donuts as they are the best I've had since moving to JC. However, the ones I picked up this morning for Halloween were of the poorest quality that I've ever encountered. I don't know if I was too early and these were leftover from yesterday or what ...they ended up rock hard and dry. They were definitely off their game this morning. Got early this morning and decided to surprise the family with doughnuts. Opened up Yelp to find the closest place, as it turns out, Doughnut Palace was just a few minutes down the road. So I headed down and was greeted by the friendly staff. They had a great selection of doughnuts, and all of the ones I tried were really fresh! I love cake doughnuts and the pumpkin pie, blueberry, and chocolate varieties were mouth watering moist and delicious! All of the frosted and glazed varieties that I selected brought tons of smiles and sounds of delight! Definitely found my new "go-to" doughnut shop! read more

Staff is not courteous in the least. Display case is absolutely disgusting. Nearly every donut was mangled in the box. Freshness leaves something to be desired. I won't be going back. This place should be renamed "the day old dented donut" read more

Donuts are good, but staff needs to be trained. I asked about the sign outside that said "apple spice cake donuts", the girl tried to give me an apple fritter, ultimately no apple spice cake donuts. Then I asked about the maple bacon donut, she stated it was filled, I asked what kind of filling, she had no clue. Got it back, NO FILLING. Then I ordered 2 old fashions, and I attached a picture of what one of them looked like... before I ate it lol! Just needs some improvements, not sure I'll go again, too bad. Those other reviews kinda suck, people complaining if you don't like it don't go, it's donuts it's gonna have that taste, and unclean it's a donut shop they might have glaze on the display window big deal, these donuts are very good, if I ever want to get donuts this is the place to go, and prices are good, they match prices of other donuts and these are so much better, I'm glad they was able to satay in business with COVID, 10/10 going again and recommending to friends read more
