Rolls and frosting were both delicious, but cold which took away from their quality. The iced coffee is priced almost double the regular coffee - but the cup was completely filled with ice (only got about 3 gulps down before it was empty) The menu for "meals" is very indirect as it says "soup and sandwich" but doesn't specify any options. Seems like a great place but it could use a bit more attention to detail. read more

I love cinnamon rolls and I wish I didn't because they aren't good for you. My sweet tooth is always there though!! Grabbed a cinnamon roll here and I was surprisingly pleased! It was so good and I had a cinnamon roll from a local coffee shop earlier and it beat it for sure!! They warmed it up for me which was nice. Such a good treat when walking around the mall! read more

The best cinnamon rolls I've ever had or found from a business! This place puts even the far more famous and known brands to shame! This place has spoiled and ruined my enjoyment of inferior cinnamon rolls. I only wish I could find something similar in Kansas City. I'm surprised they don't open another store in the Kansas City area. You do have to park and go in the Mall to get them, and the mall is struggling to keep any good options open, but if they ever close this place I doubt I'll have reason to go in the mall anymore. If they have cherry ones, those are great. Though the plain are a safe option if you aren't sure which one to try first. read more

First time here! The cinnamon buns were delicious and the prices are fantastic. We had a very kind server. She was quick and friendly. I enjoyed the cherry Cinnamon bun the best. I came with my family so we tried lots of items from the menu. The regular iced bun was very indulging. The twist we're not as heavily iced as the cinnamon buns which I enjoyed and they were only $1.50 per twist. I ordered a peanut butter cookie for myself and it was good, I've for sure had better. I tried my dons snickerdoodle cookie and it had a lingering after taste, he ended up chucking it. Also ordered the glazed pecan bun... saving for breakfast! Someone please tell me what the heck is in the oatmeal raisin cookies that makes them so addictive! For being in the mall, this place is a gem. I've never walked away disappointed. The ladies that work there during the day are super nice and "small-town friendly". The cinnamon rolls, of course are wonderful, but so are the cherry rolls, as well as the sweet caramel rolls with nuts. You can't walk away from this place without buying a homemade bierock with mustard on the side--some of the best in town besides Bluestem Bistro's homemade bierocks (bread roll with savory meat and cabbage filling.) read more

We walked up to this place hoping to buy a couple of their delicious cinnamon rolls. The lady, who was sitting behind the counter looking down at her phone, looked up at us and then back down to continue whatever it was she was doing that was more important than acknowledging customers. No more than 5 seconds after we stepped up, a white man and his daughter walked up to the counter. The lady IMMEDIATELY jumped up to greet and serve him! Right away, this kind man gestured to us and said to her, "I do believe they were here first." This woman had the audacity to nonchalantly wave her hand toward us dismissively and claim that we were just looking and that she'll just serve him first! She never even greeted us or asked if we needed any assistance, and we walked up knowing exactly what we wanted to buy! Needless to say, we left. Once again, I refuse to pay people to treat me like dung. read more

My daughter and I were walking around the mall on a rainy day! We were so excited to try the delicious looking treats at the Cinnamon Roll stand. After asking a few basic questions (soup of the day, count of mini cinnamon rolls) the woman behind the counter gave an annoyed sigh and told me to look at the board..which was not well displayed, and I was wrestling a toddler. She told me I couldn't get a certain number of mini rolls and I just decided to leave without trying anything. Bad customer service will not gain you any customers. read more

As noted in my review of "Harry's" in Manhattan, I used to travel to that fair city once or twice a month to treat my nephew to dinner while he toiled away at a degree. We ate at Harry's about half the time, and split the rest between a number of other restaurants--but afterward, almost without exception, we would stop by Mrs. Powell's for dessert. We did this because none of the restaurants' sweet choices could top the cinnamon rolls found here--and I might add that the price tag was invariably cheaper as well. But price really had nothing to do with it. At twice the price this would have been an obligatory stop as A) I love cinnamon rolls, and B) Mrs. Powells has the best cinnamon rolls I have yet to encounter. Scrumptious! Big! Sweet! Moist! Raisiny! (Or without if you prefer.) "Scrumptious!" Oh, and did I say "scrumptious?" I always get the regular cinnamon roll with sour-cream icing, but they offer cherry and pecan as well. In all cases, the bread is one of the things that sets it apart from many other places, being very dense and moist. Really, if you live in the area, or travel here, you simply must give it a try. The rolls run about $2.89 a piece (if memory serves), and after 8 PM, it's 2 for 1 until they disappear. Located inside the Town Center Mall. Happy eating! PS. Awesome food here! I've been coming to this place for years and I've always had great customer service and product. I love their cheesy potato soup and bierocks. Their cinnamon rolls and pecan rolls are always a great breakfast item (and snack) to have in the house. It's also nice that they are open at 7 am every day because I can sneak in and grab treats for my coworkers before work. Overall it is my favorite place to eat in town for breakfast, lunch, and dinner! read more
