When she saw the cake, even she immediately said it did not look like the reference photo provided. When this was brought up to the owner, her response was that they didn't have the specific colors and that using different colors "wouldn't have looked good." Unfortunately, the bright/lime green that was used looks much worse and is nothing like the original design. The owner was dismissive and unprofessional and refused to remake the cake, offer a partial refund, or even provide store credit. There was no attempt to make things right for a clear mistake on their end. If you can't match a requested design or colors, that should be communicated before making the cake -- not after. I would not recommend this bakery based on the lack of communication, poor customer service, and refusal to take accountability. Requested cake: muted, earthy tones (soft sage green, tan, cream, and brown). Delivered cake: bright neon/lime green, which completely changes the look and theme. Requested cake: natural, rustic, neutral, and cohesive. Delivered cake: harsh, high-contrast, cartoonish due to the bright green frosting.

The instructor also had the kids decorating a room for her birthday (as if her mind wasn't on what she was supposed to be doing) which had nothing to do with the culinary camp. My child wasn't motivated to attend anymore and felt the camp was a waste of her time. We unsuccessfully tried to reach out to the instructor from Kutie Pies Bakery Cafe for a partial refund, and the lady didn't care. I would not recommend signing up because in hindsight, the advertisement was very deceptive and it was a waste of money. My child is already an advanced cook and the instructor had the kids cooking basic home breakfast.

The young lady informed me that the cake was a tres leche cake, which was something I wasn't familiar with. She explained the process to me and I decided to order a slice first. She gave me a fork and I was able to taste the slice I purchased. Oh my goodness, it was so good!!!! She told me that it would be moist and that it would probably come across as "wet" to some, but I thought it was excellent! The flavor was great and I loved the fact that the icing wasn't extremely sweet. It was not like the typical buttercream icing. I found Mom's through a google search and was happy to see that she had an Etsy site as well. After a few Etsy conversations, Moms customized a pink cake pop order for the bestie! Better yet, promised delivery on her birthday. In general, I have a hard time holding in surprises, so on the actual birthday I was on pins and needles because 1) - I really didn't know about Mom's and was just concerned with delivery time; and 2) - I have never tried Moms, so I worried about taste.
