We walked in and I was immediately impressed by how vast and spotless the place was. This is one enormous place. There's a ton of seating in the main area, and if that's not enough, there's a whole other seating area around the corner. Everything looked really tasty but we decided to try a couple of savory pastries, both of which were delicious and fresh. For my drink, I went with the Vanilla Sweet Cream Cold Brew ("Cold brew coffee with vanilla and topped with sweet cream"), which certainly quenched my thirst and need for a pick-me-up. I want to single out the staff, too. Everybody was super friendly and helpful, and the manager even stopped by our table and offered our daughter a complimentary bear-shaped madeleine. Paris Baguette is a very welcome addition to the neighborhood. We'll definitely be returning.

nice open friendly.space with a large self service area that has savoury and sweet options…read more Options reminded me of traditional Chinese bakery buns honestly. They have deli sandwiches in their fridge and the Harvest Chicken sandwich was delicious. The Mochi donuts are a good atyempt and mimicing their asian counterparts but was way too greasy. The traditional sugared twist was better. They also have full barista services and lots of seating. Great place to pick up something for a dinner party as they have lovely boxes and present well. Staff was very friendly. Prices are steeper than other local bakeries so keep this in mind.

Alfons Dimpflmeier began it all, as a German breadmaster and Master Baker, he was a graduate of the famous Handelskammer in Munich. Alfons brought the art of German baking to Canada using centuries old bread recipes, he baked his rye breads in stone ovens the authentic way. All of their bread is baked fresh daily using recipes passed down from generation to generation. Note that photographs are forbidden inside the bakery. They have one counter to purchase drinks and food. Drinks include coffee, cappuccino, lattes. Bagel options are plain bagel, sesame bagel, everything bagel. Service is polite. Dimpflmeir Bakery is a marvellous sight to behold! It's a little piece of Europe in Toronto. The tantalizing smell of freshly baked bread permeates the entire bakery. It feels like being in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory of breads. Everyone should visit this place at least once in their lifetime.

Scaddabush is one of our family's go to restaurants for Italian cuisine. They're family-friendly,…read moregood with kids and good for groups. It's bustling with chatty patrons, a noisy atmosphere, dim lighting, tasty food and friendly servers all to create a feel-good atmosphere. We usually order fresh pastas or pizzas. This visit we ordered a few dishes to share. Each pasta came with a spoonful of cheese which you could sprinkle onto the pasta. Lemon Garlic Shrimp Spaghetti was served with about six pieces of plump shrimp in a rich and creamy yellow sauce Pecorino Alfredo sauce with lemon that had very subtle lemon flavour. Baby spinach was tossed in there. It fell short on exciting flavour. It could've used more acid, more fried capers, more garlic flavour and more lemon flavour to amp up the kick. Spaghetti with Meatball * had one big juicy fluffy fall apart signature meatball atop the pasta. The tomato sauce was delicious with sun-dried tomatoes adding a tartly sour and sweet taste. Grana Padano, basil oil, and fresh basil upped the flavour. Would highly recommend this San Marzano tomato sauce. Spaghetti Carbonara was topped with a runny soft poached egg and sprinkled with smoked bacon, Pecorino Alfredo sauce, white wine, chives, roasted garlic, cracked black pepper, and parm. When I asked a friend about Scaddabush they said it's about a bit of everything to eat, like family-style shareable plates. Everything is made fresh and served just like you would do at home.
