Me and my boyfriend live across the street from this Donut Connection and we love it they have amazing iced coffee breakfast sandwiches and donuts. We have yet to try their lunch specials but I'm sure they are also very yummy. I highly recommend this place and will continue to go throughout us living here.

Someone kept saying he loved their donuts, so I just HAD to check them out for my fellow foodies. We were given a friendly greeting by a young man as soon as we stepped inside. He took our order, and served us promptly. I ordered a decaf coffee, and he said it didn't look right, and he brewed a fresh pot for me. He brought it over in about two minutes, apologizing for the wait. We ordered a Cinnamon Swirlie and a Boston Cream, and two coffees. The B.C. was very, very good--abundant filling, delicious donut. The C. S. was okay, but was bland. I prefer the ones at Dunkin Donuts or Shop N Save. This is a auaint, little coffe shop, with friendly folks, and a homey atmosphere. ..and that's important, too.

The store has three cases inside filled with cookies, decorated waffles, cupcakes, cakes, donuts and a few other things. Two ladies were inside and the one greeted me asking if I was looking for anything in particular. After looking in the cases and asking what the first two cupcakes were, I decided I could get one chocolate with delicious chocolate icing and one peanut butter chocolate. When in doubt- choose the cupcakes! Both were very delicious and slightly different. The peanut butter icing was EPIC. Such a sweet, nutty flavor but not overkill sweetness. The cupcake was tasty but not as moist as I expected. It had a delicious chocolate icing filling in it which made a fun surprise when cutting inside. The chocolate cupcake with chocolate icing was more moist (perfect moisture actually) and the icing on top was fun with the chocolate shavings! I think I loved the peanut butter icing most with the moisture of the chocolate cupcake from the chocolate icing one. I'd love to note that the lady asked me if I had been before and I told her no, it was my first time. She told me these cupcakes are on her - which I couldn't believe and SO appreciated this sweet gesture. Overall, I'd be interested in getting their items again. I also plan to ask what the staple is next time I go, as I feel like all places have one thing they are dying to rave about. This seems like a small business worth supporting!

Poor Food Quality and Service at Red Robin Tarentum at dine in, manager follow up and a better…read moreexperience with deliver following the disappointing dine in. My wife and I stopped in for dinner at Red Robin in Tarentum shortly before 9:20 PM. Despite the restaurant being nearly empty (only two other tables with customers), our dining experience was deeply disappointing. We ordered immediately after being seated, yet our appetizer (cheese sticks) didn't arrive until 9:46 PM - lukewarm after a 25-minute wait. Our main course arrived just four minutes later, suggesting poor timing in the kitchen. My wife ordered her favorite - the Whiskey River BBQ burger - but received a greasy mess with the bottom bun completely soaked through. There was literally a puddle of grease on her plate. Her fries were cold and hard. My burger came with pink in the middle as requested, but the bacon was burned with half on the burger and half just tossed on the plate. The egg was partially well-cooked and partially burnt. My garlic fries (which cost an extra $2.99) were cold, greasy, soggy, and frankly inedible. We had to request fry refills ourselves, hoping to get fresh ones. While the replacement fries came in hot baskets, they were only warm and still disappointing in quality. Our server Violet was pleasant during her limited interactions - when we sat down, when she delivered our food, and when she brought replacement fries. However, we never received water refills, and management never checked on our table during the entire meal. The only people who seemed to be enjoying themselves were the kitchen staff, who were loudly laughing and having a great time while we sat with our subpar food. I understand restaurants need to close on time, which is why we deliberately ordered quickly, but the lengthy food preparation time meant we ended up staying past closing anyway. At $50 for two people, this meal wasn't even on par with fast food quality, which is especially disappointing when every dollar counts these days. Had a manager been visible during our visit, I would have shared this feedback in person. After our disappointing visit, Eric, the manager, called me personally following my survey submission. He listened attentively as I shared our experience and seemed genuinely concerned. He apologized and promised to speak with his staff about how our situation was handled. Eric was really eager to earn back our business. He mentioned he'd be sending us some special offers and a little something to make up for our poor service. He assured me our next visit would be much better, which I appreciated. His follow-through actually prompted me to suggest Red Robin for a team lunch today. The verdict from my coworkers was mixed but generally positive. The burgers and sandwiches got decent reviews - my Royal Red was a bit overcooked but satisfactory, one colleague rated his burger a 7/10, and someone else raved about her chicken sandwich. The universal complaint was about the fries, which everyone found disappointing despite being just minutes from the restaurant. Overall, our delivery experience was definitely an improvement over our dine-in disaster, though not quite excellent. Steps in the right direction!

Oh, Red Robin What…read morehappened? On a random Tuesday night, we found ourselves craving burgers and decided to visit the Red Robin at Pittsburgh Mills. Despite the restaurant being nearly empty, it took about 15 minutes for the host to seat us. I'm not sure if they were understaffed or if seating charts now require approval from NASA. Once seated, things didn't exactly improve. The burger was aggressively average, and the crispy chicken sandwich seemed determined to achieve the same level of mediocrity. Our server appeared to be participating in a game of hide-and-seek, disappearing for long stretches and forgetting about drink refills more than once. As for the famous "endless" sides? Technically true, I suppose, because we spent an endless amount of time waiting for a second serving that never arrived. In the end, the whole experience mirrored the Pittsburgh Mills Mall itself: lots of empty space, very little activity, and not much reason to come back.
