These donuts are phenomenal! I kid you not. I love the eye catching sign outside and the inside has the same orange theme throughout. The woman behind the counter was very sweet and taking care of multiple customers by herself. We went with a toasted coconut cream, glazed twists, m&m, blueberry and a cinnamon sugar. And then got an apple fritter as well; these tasted fresh and they pull apart beautifully. My son doesn't eat anything right now but licked all the cinnamon sugar off of his claimed donut. The apple fritter was one of the better ones we've had. All in all, this is a wonderful little spot and I'm glad we happened upon it. Looking forward to our next visit. read more

Very nice family owned business, service was excellent. They have a large variety of specialised doughnuts. Ordered a raspberry and a custard filled donut. The raspberry was good and I used it for this review comparing it to pazki and Krispy Crème's. Donut Chef was not perfect in either the dough or filling, but still rated a 4 star. The customer area was spotless and what could be seen of the kitchen looked the same. The donuts look great, soft and moist. Other than their specialty donuts and the plain glazed, the donuts (such as peanut, cake donuts, sour cream) are much smaller than other donut shops. Their specialty donuts are the same size as Regular donuts at other shops. Price was a hefty $8.99 for the half dozen smaller donuts, including a "larger" specialty donut. Peanut - very moist, cakey texture. Cake itself had some kind of flavoring in it but it wasn't for me. It's not as sweet as most donuts you find elsewhere Cinnamon Sugar - also moist, cakey texture, but lacked flavor and sweetness, even with the sugar/cinnamon topping Classic Glazed - doughy, chewy texture, nicely glazed (not slathered on) but taste was bland to me. Couldn't taste flavor or sweetness in the donut even with the glaze Toasted Coconut (specialty donut) - a raised donut cut in half with a custard filling which didn't have much of flavor including the dough portion. Fresh and cakey with the perfect ratio of almond & cherry flavor. This was definitely the first donut I've eaten so fast in years!! I also tried a bite of both cherry fritter and sour cream donuts. We tried Donut Chef 1 week before her birthday and absolutely loved the donuts. They were so light and airy, and the fillings were amazing. Even the glaze was just the perfect amount of sweet. So for our daughters birthday we bought 3 dozen donuts and EVERYONE loved the donuts. We kept getting asked where we got the donuts and where the shop was located. On top of ordering 3 dozen donuts, the lady behind the counter asked what I was ordering for, and I told her my daughters first birthday. She told me if I had a moment to wait, she wanted to make a special donut for our daughter to have. She even out a candle in it! I am beyond impressed with the customer service, and we will be back!
