I recently had the windows in my apartment replaced and upgraded. The ordering process was handled by the property management so I cannot leave a review regarding that. I will, however, leave a review on the windows and most importantly the install. The double pane windows are very nice and a welcome upgrade over the prior ones. The outside noise reduction is most welcome. There were three gentleman (Shaun, Kenny, Manny) that handled the replacements. All three of them were incredibly polite and friendly, even with my rescue dog. The got the removal and install done in very timely manner and left everything looking clean and tidy. To be honest I wasn't particularly looking forward to the installation of windows and thought it was going to be a headache. On the contrary the three that handled the installation made it completely hassle free. Would definitely contact again in the future for any glass replacement. read more

First time using Don's Mobile Glass, on recommendation of a real estate agent. Great experience. They set up an appointment to come out to measure a 2nd floor home window, then called with a quote a day later. No idea if the price was competitive or not as it's been a long time, but it seemed reasonable given the custom requirements. Explained the process to me. When the window had come in a few days later, I received another call to set up an installation day and time window. (Only minor gripe--either 8am to 1pm or 1 to 5...worse than a cable company, LOL. I realize installs can vary in time, but five hours to expect someone to take off work or other obligations is a bit much this day and age.) The two installers showed up within 10 minutes of the window and were very courteous and professional. Had a nice chat with the gentleman that was inside as he waited for his partner to set up and climb the ladder. The whole process took barely 20 minutes, if that! I gave each a soda due to the 100-degree heat outside and tipped both for doing such a smooth job and their courtesy. (Treating others the way you want to be treated still works!) Don's mobile glass replaced windows and sliding glass door 6 months ago. Overall reasonable until there became a problem with the screen sliding door not opening or closing appropriately. Requested service call for adjustment which was referred to the warranty department. Warranty department does not provide adjustment service. Further communication with Don's mobile glass stating they could schedule service call for a fee. They obviously do not stand by their work and appear extremely apathetic and lazy. read more

I needed some new dual pane windows for my house because the seals went bad leaving moisture, a fog look, streaks, and dirt between the glass panes, and some rainbow coloring too. Well, Dons Mobile Glass in Modesto did a good job in the past on replacing my windshield in my vehicle, so I just called them to do my house windows. Everything went smooth with my order, and installation of the windows (glass only). The workers were nice guys and friendly. The guys cleaned up after themselves as well. They showed me the windows for approval before they left as well. Im a happy customer and I will continue to use Dons for my glass needs. The windows look great!! Here's a tip I learned from Jonathan Jackson Construction in Modesto (By the way Jonathan is a great general contractor that does quality work - who I've used and can recommend). What happened? I called Dec. 27 requesting help installing a window on my motor home. I have the new window from Winnebago. Just needs to be screwed in. Leslie said that was a specialized job for which only one person could provide an estimate. Recently had Don's Mobile Glass install glass for a custom shower at our home. Although I am satisfied with the finished product I am extremely disappointed with the process. Due to a recent holiday and family coming from out of town we had a very tight time to complete the work. I got quotes from 3 local custom glass companies and Don's Mobile Glass was double the othe 2 companies for an expedited install but promised that they could do the job within our time frame! The glass when it came out was cut wrong! With only a couple of days before all our family arrived they again promised that they would make the glass company cut another piece and complete the install before we had a full house, they didnt! They showed up a week later the day before all our guests were leaving and with the exception of an apologetic installer we never heard from the management, was offered any compensation or even an explanation of what happened!! We called Dons mobile let them know our RV top right side windshield had popped out while going down the road, asked if they could fix it. (they quoted us $200 more then another place, however they said they could do it the next day, the other place was 3 days later, so as we are traveling we wanted this done as soon as possible we went with Don's Mobile) the next morning nothing, we waited until the afternoon and called they said they were having a problem getting a part and they would keep us informed. Late afternoon nothing, called back and asked for an update was told that they would still show up that day and that they would get an update and call back 5-10 minutes, again they did not call. This morning I called and told them we are not from here and are traveling and need to be updated as to whether or not that they are going to fix our windshield or do we need to find someone else. Was told that she would call me back 10-15 mins, when I said last person said they would call and didn't, she said she would definitely call. It is now almost 4 hours later and again no call.
