Joel said they could not find anything that stuck out, however he wanted us to stay until the suspension tech was in the next day. Not something we wanted to hear but it turned out to be for the best because we left, stopped to get gas, and things got worse. We checked into the Baymont off Main St. (awesome staff here as well). The next day Melanie had arranged for John and Stan to come and pick up the car to drive it back. Stan pulled into their parking lot, stopped, something fell to the ground, and that's when they discovered the transfer box for the front to back differential broke completely apart. They were able to drag the car in, lift it, and determine the extent of the damage. They found the part in Memphis so we would need to wait another day until it arrived. We were very happy to have an answer and we were very grateful that everyone at the shop was so helpful. Will helped us empty the car when our other ride came to pick us up as well as hook up our small trailer. This shop was SO busy and the entire staff remained professional, courtesy and didn't let the pressure get to them. We have been customers here for a few years now, and have never had any issues. However, our most…read morerecent experience has made it where we will NEVER do business with Best One ever again for any reason. We noticed the brake light coming on, then going off, back and forth for a couple days. We needed an oil change anyway, so we took the car in. They came back with a nearly $500 estimate to replace some parts they said were bad. They made it sound like it was an emergency situation and we could suddenly have our brakes go out at any time. My Dad and grandfather have worked on our family's vehicles our whole lives, so I called my Dad to see if he could do the work for us if we bought the parts. He agreed, so we bought the parts Best One said needed replacing, and took it to my Dad. After looking at the car, he said there was nothing wrong with it and even got my grandfather to look at it to be sure. The only thing they noticed was that whoever did the oil change put nearly a quart too much oil in it. So, we took it back to Best One, told them what we had found, and asked that they drain out the excess oil they put into it. Once they heard this, the fake smiles and customer service were completely gone. They had no explanation for either incident and didn't even offer any kind of apology. We got a call a few hours later (after wondering 'how long does it really take to drain some oil'?!) from one of the mechanics stating that the car now would not start, they couldn't get it to even hold a charge, and asking if we wanted to buy a new battery and have them put it in. At this point, the nicest thing we could say was "No." We had just had the battery tested a month before, and knew that it was still good. Our car is kept in a garage, so we knew the cold weather wasn't the culprit, either. We are so disappointed in the way this situation was handled, that we have vowed to never go back to ANY Best One service center, and have warned our friends and family against trusting them with their vehicles as well.

They also talked me into letting them replace some front end suspension parts. Big mistake! My truck now squeaks and squawks every time I hit a bump or turn. I called them on it and they claim new suspension parts do that. Wrong! I had my regular mechanic look at it and he said Raben used junk brake pads and front suspension parts. I had him fix the brakes but not spending the money on another new front end suspension. Save yourself the headache and pass on Raben. They used to have a great reputation. Not sure if there's new owners or exactly what has changed.

The salesman told me that they would take the tires and rims off, go to the shop, replace them with some old tires and re-install them on my vehicle. They took the rims, removed their tires and returned the rims without any tires. They dropped the rims off next to the vehicle and did not have common sense to knock on my door and let me know that they did this. At least have the decency to follow through on your agreement.

They did tell my child the cost of tow and tow yard fees and didn't give an option to tow else where. They put in tow yard last night after was hit by a deer. We called at 8 am to try and get car. They told us there is addition fee of $75 to remove on weekend. Also if car is there more than 24 hours a $40 fee. Total for car was close to $500. They won't do veterans discounts, or any AAA. Keep in mind car was drivable once bumper was removed and would have cost nothing. They took advantage of two young ladies when folks are hours away. The girls told them that if bumper was removed they could drive it back to campus. They wouldnt allow it. I feel that they rape you in price. As for the tow guy he did remove bumper and did take photos but that's all I can say is good. Save your money and call your own tow. Which I would have done if I knew what they where going to charge us.

So I'm definitely a new customer if something else goes wrong. They do just about everything. Definitely an easy location to find. The job was done in 50 minutes. No unnecessary charges.
