While it sounds simple, it was a hard task to find the transformer since it's not ever located in a standard place. We ended up not finding it to no fault of his. Throughout the process he talked through his thoughts and really demonstrated his master electrician knowledge and problem solving capabilities. We settled on installing a new transformer in our garage that would be easy to get to and be the least amount of damage to run the wires. Chris was a pleasure to work with. Pricing was fair. He is honest, reliable, great communicator, and very respectful of your home. Being Asian, no shoes in the house is important to me and he was so kind to take his shoe booties on and off depending on where he was working. That is hard to come by with many contractors and I very much appreciated it. I'd absolutely call him for any future jobs!

Chris was incredibly responsive from the start, answered all my questions quickly, and provided the best rates by far after I contacted at least five other electricians in my area. He and his apprentice were able to run a dedicated line from our subpanel in the garage right outside to the sauna. They also installed the heater and temperature sensor (this is highly recommended by the heater companies! Don't install these without professional help!) The work was completed professionally, efficiently, and with great attention to detail. It took them a few hours but they finished it the same day. It's hard to find contractors who are both reliable and fairly priced, but Caldera Power Services delivered on both. I highly recommend Chris and his team to anyone looking for quality electrical work. Definitely will be hiring him again for all my electrical needs!

He did such great work we didn't talk to him again for... like 9 years lol. I recently contacted him again to do an electrical inspection after the home inspector found a couple of small issues in a home we purchased, and we wanted to make sure there weren't bigger hidden ones. He took a look, reassured us it wasn't anything major, and said the halogen lights across the whole house were overloading the breaker. We are in the process of having him switch all lighting in the house + install exterior lighting and have no worries nor regrets. Wound up having East West switch all like 150 lights in the house, install exterior lighting, change switches to Lutrons, install outlets for hidden wiring and home network setup, so much work and everything was done amazingly. I know it's gonna get done right. Nshan is truly the most professional contractor I've ever worked with and is such a friendly and warm person. East West is the only company I've ever been like, we HAVE to find them again if we need more work, they are just that pleasant to work with. Always on time and very communicative. Can't recommend enough.

Failed Inspection, Poor Communication, and No Accountability…read more I would caution anyone considering Advanced Electrical Services based on my experience. Scheduling with this company was incredibly frustrating. Communication was poor, and I repeatedly had to follow up just to confirm whether their technician was actually coming. The bigger issue? The electrical installation failed inspection, and I was subsequently quoted an additional $1,100-$1,300 to correct the issues. This was especially concerning because their company had performed the original electrical work. When I questioned why I should have to pay more to fix something that should have been installed correctly in the first place, they claimed their original work had passed inspection approximately five years earlier. I repeatedly asked them to provide the original inspection report to substantiate that claim. Despite multiple requests, they never provided any documentation. I also tried to give them the opportunity to explain the discrepancies, clarify what had gone wrong, and work toward a reasonable resolution. Instead, they stopped responding entirely. What bothers me most isn't just the additional expense. It's the lack of accountability, transparency, and customer service when a legitimate concern was raised. My advice: Get everything in writing, request copies of permits and inspection approvals, and don't assume that work was properly inspected just because a contractor tells you it was. I gave this company multiple opportunities to resolve the situation privately before sharing my experience. Unfortunately, they chose not to respond. I would not recommend them.
