With the rave reviews we decided to see if it can live up to the hype. It does not disappoint. We…read morearrive at 9:30am on Saturday. Upon check in, they estimate the wait time would be 25-30 minutes. We are seated at 10:10am. The most impressive dish is the smoked salmon egg Benedict. We asked to serve the béarnaise sauce by the side. The blueberries pancake is soooooo fluffy. A must try. The hash brown is crispy on top and soft at bottom. We like it so much that we needed to order another one as a side dish. Chicken and waffles are good but not as great as the above three. Meat lovers omelette is normal. The most disappointing dish is the wontons. Traditional wontons have real prawn fillings. This one has a meatball texture which is quite off putting to me. While the restaurant decor and appearance can be improved, overall still an enjoyable experience. We definitely love the food here than OEB.

Ambiance: 3/5 Food: 5/5…read moreService: 5/5 This place is exactly what it promises to be! We had wanted to try this spot for so long and finally got the chance on a Saturday morning. The website says to get there by 8:30 if you want to grab a table without waiting which we thought was crazy, but when we showed up at 8:32 we managed to snag the last free table so they're spot on with their timing! Lots of parties showed up right after us and the waitlist was super long by the time we left. As for ambiance, it's meant to be a greasy spoon diner at the back of a lumber yard so that's exactly what it is. The only part I wasn't expecting and didn't enjoy was that every few minutes you got a waft of the washroom smell even though we were sitting far from it, mostly because there's not a ton of ventilation in a small spot. The staff were super friendly and attentive which was lovely! I got the veggie omelette which came with their shredded hash browns and bread and my partner got the burger and fries. Everything was delicious! Huge portions and well priced. I especially loved the hash browns which were crispy on the outside. Overall a great spot! Just make sure to get there early if you don't want to wait

Hidden gem alert! Not sure exactly when this place opened but judging from the date of the first…read morereview for it, looks like it's coming up to almost a year. It's right across the street from Faith Church so if you happen to attend that church, this is a great place to drop by for lunch after the service, and if you don't happen to attend the church...still a great place to drop by for lunch! We're huge fans of poutine and I am always on the lookout for places that serve their poutine with vegetarian friendly gravy. So when I messaged this place awhile back to ask if their gravy was vegetarian friendly and they replied that it is, I knew we had to come here sometime. I shared half a Grilled cheese sandwich and a full order of poutine with my daughter. Also ordered a can of coke. I never said anything about wanting a combo meal. I assumed I'd be paying for everything a la carte but the lady said she would include the coke as a combo meal. This was unexpected and I thought it was very kind of her to do that, so...5 stars for the service! Food was awesome too. The sandwich was filled with lots of ooey gooey cheese. Gravy on our poutine was nice and hot so there was lots of melting action happening with the cheese curds. Oh, and there's free wifi at this place. Highly recommend this place!

I had the special for February which was a stacked warm Montreal smoked meat on Marbled Rye bread with mustard. Classic and delicious, went down very well with my Ginger Ale and pickle. I was soooo hungry and could smell something delicious coming from this little shop at Granville St…read moreand 11th. It was around 1pm on a Friday, it was very quiet. Found a table right away. There are some small tables for two along with high tables. I ordered the 'hot' sandwich, chicken parm. I was expecting crispy chicken parm with yummy cheese and rich tomatoe sauce. Let's be honest, the star of this show is the bread! The baguette was warm, soft and so delicious. However, that's where the excitement stopped for me. The chicken with breading was soggy and the pesto and mozzarella was such a small amount, it felt like a soggy chicken sandwich with lots of bread. If they put more pesto dressing, more mozzarella cheese and more tomatoe sauce, I could have looked past the soggy chicken. All in all, I'm glad it tried it, the bread is amazing, and I'll come back to try a 'cold' sandwich to see if the other options are better!

I have been going to this spot since they opened, not gonna lie , one of the best fast sandwiches…read morespots around. Until recently... The best part of the sandwich was the bread, they sourced it par baked from a bakery and finished it in store. it was amazing. For some reason (I expect cost) they stopped doing that and now get the bread from another of their locations. I would agree with some other reviews here, Mangia's is a bit expensive, but I and my friends were willing to pay for quality. The new bread they use is dry, tough and sub par, I tried to get used to it twice, but will not be going back. This review could have been one star but for the fact that the staff are amazing.
