I had a 13 years old dog with bad Intervertebral Disc Disease (IVDD) (herniated discs) . The western doctor told me that if it was his dog he would to put the dog to sleep. That was not an option for me. I had to find another way to support my dog. The receptionist in the office told me about Dr. Donna Kelleher and thanks to her care my dog lived for five more years without discomfort and pain. I live in New Zealand now where Holistic Veterinary care is not well known or excepted. I have two elderly dogs now and wish Donna with her knowledge and holistic approach was near by. read more

The best! Our dog had issues no one else could address and "fix". Donna did it with acupuncture and food changes. Our female black lab went from skin irritations and licking away fur into a healthy show dog like fir. Lived 18 years! Thank you Donna! read more

Treatment was way outside of the box, which would be fine if it worked. My pet got progressively worse and kept losing weight, even after several months of expensive visits. Doctor did not seem concerned when he lost more weight and was covered in skin infections. Unfortunately, we saw no change in our pet's health which was our primary reason for being there. Finally had to go to an allergist who diagnosed our dog with several skin issues including E-coli. After a few visits to his office our guy began to heal and gain back weight. Also, for as low-tech as this practice is, with little "overhead", I think the fees were way too high. At least buy a animal scale! read more

Dr. Donna Kelleher is a lifesaver in our book! In September 2016, our 10-year-old Labrador was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in the left humerous. The oncologist estimated he would only live another 4-6 months. We explored options in order to keep him comfortable including amputation and radiation therapy (my husband and I discussed these options extensively with multiple veterinarians). Due to his age, large size, arthritis, and Donna's recommendation, we decided not pursue either option. We were introduced to holistic veterinary medicine and met with Donna to discuss alternate options. We came up with a holistic treatment plan using several different herbs, mushrooms, acupuncture, warm water therapy, and a homemade diet consisting of cooked meats, raw vegetables, and no carbs (none; so get creative with snacks). Our Labrador showed positive improvements in general health (smell, gum coloration, stool consistency, and activity level) within a couple of weeks. After several months fatty lipomas that were apparent on him shrank and most disappeared. Thanks to Donna's talent and dedication, we still have him today, nearly a year and half since his initial diagnosis given by the oncologist. We are forever grateful to her. read more

My little Kitty's name is Lily. and she has Esophageal Dysmotility. For a year she was just over 4 pounds and throwing up constantly. She couldn't get the nutrients it took to thrive and gain weight. She has been to 3 vets 1 is a emergency care vet, primary vet and a place that's only made for cats. She has had a lot of intrusive studies and tests on her and the best anyone can come up with is "this is how it's going be, its good as it gets". When I look into my little Kitty's eyes she always looked uncomfortable and sad. We have quite the connection so I'm not giving up. We called doctor Donna because a friend recommended her... Since we've seen doctor Donna she started gaining weight, playing of all my other kitties, visiting different parts of the house to Sun herself, and she's silly as ever. We have never seen this in the 1year in 2 months of her life, she is like a new Kitty. She still throws up on occasion but not near what she used to her eyes are brighter and when I look into them she doesn't seem stressed. Doctor Donna has turned Lillis world around and it means so much to my little Lil Lilli and those of us who love her dearly. We have only been to 4 appointments so far and Can't wait to see what the future holds Thank you thank you thank you Dr. Donna, You will never know how much you've changed our world. read more

Went to Donna for a year and a half or so for help with an extremely itchy Westie. Never saw any improvement and sometimes he was even worse. I think the acupuncture and chiropractics she does is worthwhile but the NAET is a bunch of hooey, don't get suckered into it cause she'll bleed you till it hurts. The final straw was when after all this time and money I missed an appointment and she charged me for it. Guess she was too concerned about the money to give me a slight break after being a dedicated customer for so long. I ended up going back to a conventional vet who suggested a more aggressive treatment and my dog was itch-free in 4 months. Hindsight is 20/20 but going to Donna was a waste of time and a lot of money. read more

Donna is a font of information! She works in preventative and supportive treatments and considers the whole animal. My dogs have responded so well to her acupuncture treatments, diet suggestions and supplement recommendations. Donna has made me a firm believer in the efficacy of acupuncture and strengthened my nutritional knowledge. To top it off- the dogs LOVE her! With her help, I feel like I am giving my furry family the best, healthiest, and most pain-free possible lives. read more

Dr Kelleher is an amazing healer & is nationally renown in her field. I have been fortunate to have been a client/patient of hers for many years & she absolutely saved my rescue doxie, Sweetie ( who has since passed away at nearly 19 years old!!). This dog came to us at about 8 years of age & was a total mess. When I became very frustrated with western treatments for a serious chronic condition that were not helping, I remembered meeting her a few years prior at a book reading/signing for her first book & had filed her info away in my mind for the future. ( she has just published her second book, the Proof Is In The Poodle, check it out!!) The day my husband & I met her, it changed our lives & the life of our precious Sweetie. We currently have 2 rescue doxies & Dr Kelleher keeps them healthy with tailor made homecooked diets, Chinese Herbs & supplement advice, acupuncture, & quarterly chiropractic adjustments (since wiener dog backs are prone to problems). Dr Donna's philosphy is always to do no harm & her holistic & preventative approach give my dogs what they need to truly thrive. read more

We rely on Dr. Kelleher for almost all our pet issues, collaborating with our traditional vet when necessary. Our rescued dachshund had diarrhea and was vomiting and the traditional solution was medications with side effects. Dr. Kelleher recommended a home cooked diet, eliminating grains and voila, problem solved. Later, when diagnosed with pre-cushings, she altered the diet/herb/supplement formula and her blood readings trended back toward more normal levels. We were able to avoid damaging pharmaceuticals and our rescue lived to 18+ years old. Highly recommend Dr. Donna Kelleher. read more

Dr Kelleher is a gift to the world of animals. My dog Henry had liver disease and the other vet recommended antibiotics and steroids. I know these drugs would go through Henry's liver. We went to see Dr Kelleher a truly gifted holistic vet. Dr Kelleher treated Henry with herbs, supplements and acupuncture. Henry's liver values are back to normal. We have never experienced a vet that is as dedicated to holistic medicine. The cost of treatment was affordable but most off all my dog is cured and acting like a puppy he will be 9 next month. We love Dr Donna and we will follow her, to the ends of the earth. read more

I do Westie Rescue and I had the pleasure of going to donna when I had no other options but euthanizia. The dog was so bad, that it was just cruel to keep him alive to be so miserable 24/7. I had tried everything on the planet, herbs, the plechner syndrome, pred, meds, antihistimines, change of diet, raw diet. the bottom line is I thought I'd give it a last ditch effort and go and give NAET a try NAET is not a fast fix but it took a couple of months or more, and he bounced back. Even his personality changed. I learn so much from Dr. Donna. I learned about herbs, how I was treating the secondary infection, and not the primary, that if I didn't get his immune system in check then nothing would ever fall into place. Lots of people who have written things here, are frustrated because they couldn't get into see her. Her practice is small and she is at Maximum capacity so she has to turn people away or refer them. She is only in Seattle once a week and is booked for 10 hour straight. I don't believe its a fair review because she couldn't take a patient. the only way NAET works is if you follow her directions specifically and it takes time to detox a dog. I know it because I have rescued over 500 westies since 2008 and 50% have skin problems. Not always as severe as Teds. Donna is amazing. She is a work in progress and always is on top of the nutrition and american herbs you can use. You should go to one of her seminars. See her on facebook. read more

I was referred to Donna Kelleher by one of her classmates who said she was the best holistic vet in the business. That was all I needed. I made an appointment and felt as though she treated me and my dog! I did not abandon my loyalty to my other DVM but rather, worked with both in the best interest of my dog. My other DVM was pleased to hear I sought her advice and said they had heard of her and her impressive work. Donna is thorough and insightful and has opened my eyes and heart to new possibilities and a positive approach to the challenges my beloved pets may face. read more

I have gone to Donna Kelleher for holistic care of my three Bichon Frise dogs for 18 years. I have even traveled over 100 miles to attend her public lectures and seek her veterinarian care. Currently my first dog, Abbey is over 18 years old and I believe she is doing so well because of Donna's care, passion and dedication to her well-being. Donna also took care of Donny, Abbey's brother, when he was diagnosed with kidney failure. I got Donny when he was six months old and he was given 3 months to live. Through Donna's medical leadership, Donny lived to be 5 1/2 years old. Even my dear friend and my conventional veterinarian has commented on numerous occasions about how amazed he is that Donna can cure or improve a medical challenge or support my dog's healing process without invasive and sometimes toxic protocols. Donna has excellent listening skills; medical protocols, she pursues reasonable solutions, educates her pet owners and follows up on the care that was undertaken. She researches the scientific and holistic journals for answers. She is nationally known as an expert in holistic medicine and is driven to care for the well-being of the animals. Her prices are very reasonable, the animals love her and I know that every single day she dedicates her time to the study and care of our dear pets. I trust my dogs' lives (Abbey, Donny and Tobey) to Donna Kelleher and I know that my little 18 year old Abbey, who can still run up and down stairs, will join me in recommending Donna to her fellow dogs, cats and animal friends. read more

I cannot even explain the miracles that Dr. Donna Kelleher has performed. I take my own dogs to her. My dog has Symmetrical Lupoid Onychodystrophy (Hell's Nails for short, it is a painful condition causing dogs' nails to slough). She was on antibiotics and other medications 3 times a day for a year and always in pain. I finally said I had enough and contacted Dr. Kelleher. This condition was triggered by the rabies vaccine. This is a immune mediated disease. Dr. Kelleher gave me a lot of herbs (she is a herbalist) had me go to a homemade diet, she cleared her using NAET, she receives acupuncture. Susie Rose my rottweiler is now off of all western medication doing great. She also had incontinence and she took care of that with just a couple treatments of acupuncture and she went off that medication too. I have sent so many clients to Dr. Kelleher when their dogs were in dire straights and she has performed some amazing miracles on them. Some were at death's door and the dogs were able to recover living out a happy life. I am so happy to have Dr. Kelleher in my and my dogs lives. We have learned so much about health and nutrition and keeping my dogs at top performance. She even inspired me to learn and go to classes on herbs, tinctures, plants and so much more. We are incredible lucky to have an amazing doctor for animals amongst us. read more

I tried to get my old dog Sadie in to see Dr. Kelleher. Sadie had terrible arthritis of the lower spine and needed acupuncture. I live far from any veterinarians who offer acupuncture. I took Sadie for acupuncture once (had to take a day off work to do it). The acupuncture helped a lot. But the acupuncture wore off before I could get Sadie back. I couldn't take off a day every week! My employer would not allow that. Reading everything I could find, I read about Dr. Kelleher. It sounded wonderful. The treatment cost a lot more, but lasted a lot longer. I called Dr. Kelleher. NO call back. Sadie would cry in pain after a week without acupuncture. I called again--repeatedly. NO call back. I explained the situation and left pleas for help. NO call back. Doctor Kelleher never called back even though I knew, through desperate phone calls to anyone I could think of, that she was still in town. People told me she was busy trying to move away. I finally had to put Sadie down because Sadie could not tolerate the pain and she didn't react well to medications for it. So she wrote a great book. But is it true? read more

I'm writing a review for a cat I took to Dr. Kelleher possibly up to a decade ago. I'm thinking of making another appointment for this cat for sinus problems, and I came upon these reviews. This is in response to the person who says NAET is a bunch of hooey. Dr. Kelleher treated my cat Emmie for allergies with NAET. My cat had scratched all the fur off her neck and the skin was exposed and sore. Donna fixed her right up, apparently Emmie was allergic to chicken. She had been scratching before, and I might have even taken her to a regular vet, but only Donna was able to clear the problem within two visits. She diagnosed Emmie with allergies to Evergreens also, but since she is an indoor cat, I didn't get that treated. I remember that she gave us a list of supplements to give her too, they were readily available and inexpensive. read more

Least effective quack I've ever spent too much money on. I used her for acupuncture and relied on her to be my main vet. Once I had a major issue with my dog, a ruptured vertebrae, she was certain that her "acupuncture would work". While my dog was paralyzed and I was sobbing about the issue as I called her (which she said to do at any time should I have issues) she YELLED at me that she wasn't interested in my issues since it wasn't working hours. Yelled at me, while I was sobbing about my paralyzed dog. I told her I was going to take my dog to the emergency vet where she said, make an apt with me in (2 days) and she would fix it. NOPE nothing but an actual vet with actual medication and facilities. She not only wasted my time, but all of the other Vets that I mentioned her name to, told me that she has a history of being a quack. Sure she can help with a lot, but don't be fooled, take your animal to the hospital, don't listen to her when she says she can help you. Not just one vet mind you warned me against her, but several vets said she has an awful reputation. Dr. Kelleher, you wasted my money, time and increased the suffering of my dog. Don't every yell at a devastated patient when their loved family member is in trouble. Wasted so much money on this Dr., she was NOT helpful and rather rude and well, has a terrible rep with the rest of the Vets I spoke with. read more

Had an emergency back injury with my dog and trying to find a vet chiropractor in our area. Dr. Kelleher wrote back to me and said they were very busy and couldn't help me. Wow!! I took the dog north to an excellent chiropractor who was suggested by a BC Veterinary office and that Dr. got me in immediately and said it was a good thing I acted fast as the dog was very messed up. My dog is doing great now. I'll never suggest this doctor and will never use them......oh that's right they're too busy anyhow.....nevermind. read more
