I had a 13 years old dog with bad Intervertebral Disc Disease (IVDD) (herniated discs) . The western doctor told me that if it was his dog he would to put the dog to sleep. Treatment was way outside of the box, which would be fine if it worked. My pet got progressively worse and kept losing weight, even after several months of expensive visits. Doctor did not seem concerned when he lost more weight and was covered in skin infections. Unfortunately, we saw no change in our pet's health which was our primary reason for being there. Finally had to go to an allergist who diagnosed our dog with several skin issues including E-coli. After a few visits to his office our guy began to heal and gain back weight. Also, for as low-tech as this practice is, with little "overhead", I think the fees were way too high. At least buy a animal scale! read more

Dr. Donna Kelleher is a lifesaver in our book! In September 2016, our 10-year-old Labrador was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in the left humerous. The oncologist estimated he would only live another 4-6 months. We explored options in order to keep him comfortable including amputation and radiation therapy (my husband and I discussed these options extensively with multiple veterinarians). Due to his age, large size, arthritis, and Donna's recommendation, we decided not pursue either option. We were introduced to holistic veterinary medicine and met with Donna to discuss alternate options. We came up with a holistic treatment plan using several different herbs, mushrooms, acupuncture, warm water therapy, and a homemade diet consisting of cooked meats, raw vegetables, and no carbs (none; so get creative with snacks). Our Labrador showed positive improvements in general health (smell, gum coloration, stool consistency, and activity level) within a couple of weeks. My little Kitty's name is Lily. and she has Esophageal Dysmotility. For a year she was just over 4 pounds and throwing up constantly. She couldn't get the nutrients it took to thrive and gain weight. She has been to 3 vets 1 is a emergency care vet, primary vet and a place that's only made for cats. Went to Donna for a year and a half or so for help with an extremely itchy Westie. Never saw any improvement and sometimes he was even worse. I think the acupuncture and chiropractics she does is worthwhile but the NAET is a bunch of hooey, don't get suckered into it cause she'll bleed you till it hurts. The final straw was when after all this time and money I missed an appointment and she charged me for it. Guess she was too concerned about the money to give me a slight break after being a dedicated customer for so long. I ended up going back to a conventional vet who suggested a more aggressive treatment and my dog was itch-free in 4 months. Hindsight is 20/20 but going to Donna was a waste of time and a lot of money. read more

We rely on Dr. Kelleher for almost all our pet issues, collaborating with our traditional vet when necessary. Our rescued dachshund had diarrhea and was vomiting and the traditional solution was medications with side effects. Dr Kelleher is a gift to the world of animals. My dog Henry had liver disease and the other vet recommended antibiotics and steroids. I know these drugs would go through Henry's liver. We went to see Dr Kelleher a truly gifted holistic vet. Dr Kelleher treated Henry with herbs, supplements and acupuncture. Henry's liver values are back to normal. I have gone to Donna Kelleher for holistic care of my three Bichon Frise dogs for 18 years. I have even traveled over 100 miles to attend her public lectures and seek her veterinarian care. I do Westie Rescue and I had the pleasure of going to donna when I had no other options but euthanizia. The dog was so bad, that it was just cruel to keep him alive to be so miserable 24/7. I had tried everything on the planet, herbs, the plechner syndrome, pred, meds, antihistimines, change of diet, raw diet. the bottom line is I thought I'd give it a last ditch effort and go and give NAET a try NAET is not a fast fix but it took a couple of months or more, and he bounced back. Even his personality changed. I learn so much from Dr. Donna. I learned about herbs, how I was treating the secondary infection, and not the primary, that if I didn't get his immune system in check then nothing would ever fall into place. Lots of people who have written things here, are frustrated because they couldn't get into see her. Her practice is small and she is at Maximum capacity so she has to turn people away or refer them. She is only in Seattle once a week and is booked for 10 hour straight. I don't believe its a fair review because she couldn't take a patient. the only way NAET works is if you follow her directions specifically and it takes time to detox a dog. I know it because I have rescued over 500 westies since 2008 and 50% have skin problems. Not always as severe as Teds. Donna is amazing. I cannot even explain the miracles that Dr. Donna Kelleher has performed. I take my own dogs to her. My dog has Symmetrical Lupoid Onychodystrophy (Hell's Nails for short, it is a painful condition causing dogs' nails to slough). She was on antibiotics and other medications 3 times a day for a year and always in pain. I finally said I had enough and contacted Dr. Kelleher. This condition was triggered by the rabies vaccine. This is a immune mediated disease. Dr. Kelleher gave me a lot of herbs (she is a herbalist) had me go to a homemade diet, she cleared her using NAET, she receives acupuncture. Susie Rose my rottweiler is now off of all western medication doing great. She also had incontinence and she took care of that with just a couple treatments of acupuncture and she went off that medication too. I have sent so many clients to Dr. Kelleher when their dogs were in dire straights and she has performed some amazing miracles on them. I tried to get my old dog Sadie in to see Dr. Kelleher. Sadie had terrible arthritis of the lower spine and needed acupuncture. I live far from any veterinarians who offer acupuncture. I took Sadie for acupuncture once (had to take a day off work to do it). The acupuncture helped a lot. But the acupuncture wore off before I could get Sadie back. I couldn't take off a day every week! My employer would not allow that. Reading everything I could find, I read about Dr. Kelleher. It sounded wonderful. The treatment cost a lot more, but lasted a lot longer. I called Dr. Kelleher. NO call back. Sadie would cry in pain after a week without acupuncture. I called again--repeatedly. NO call back. I explained the situation and left pleas for help. NO call back. Doctor Kelleher never called back even though I knew, through desperate phone calls to anyone I could think of, that she was still in town. People told me she was busy trying to move away. I finally had to put Sadie down because Sadie could not tolerate the pain and she didn't react well to medications for it. So she wrote a great book. But is it true? read more

I'm writing a review for a cat I took to Dr. Kelleher possibly up to a decade ago. I'm thinking of making another appointment for this cat for sinus problems, and I came upon these reviews. This is in response to the person who says NAET is a bunch of hooey. Dr. Kelleher treated my cat Emmie for allergies with NAET. My cat had scratched all the fur off her neck and the skin was exposed and sore. Donna fixed her right up, apparently Emmie was allergic to chicken. She had been scratching before, and I might have even taken her to a regular vet, but only Donna was able to clear the problem within two visits. She diagnosed Emmie with allergies to Evergreens also, but since she is an indoor cat, I didn't get that treated. I remember that she gave us a list of supplements to give her too, they were readily available and inexpensive. read more

Least effective quack I've ever spent too much money on. I used her for acupuncture and relied on her to be my main vet. Once I had a major issue with my dog, a ruptured vertebrae, she was certain that her "acupuncture would work". While my dog was paralyzed and I was sobbing about the issue as I called her (which she said to do at any time should I have issues) she YELLED at me that she wasn't interested in my issues since it wasn't working hours. Yelled at me, while I was sobbing about my paralyzed dog. I told her I was going to take my dog to the emergency vet where she said, make an apt with me in (2 days) and she would fix it. NOPE nothing but an actual vet with actual medication and facilities. She not only wasted my time, but all of the other Vets that I mentioned her name to, told me that she has a history of being a quack. Sure she can help with a lot, but don't be fooled, take your animal to the hospital, don't listen to her when she says she can help you. Not just one vet mind you warned me against her, but several vets said she has an awful reputation. Dr. Kelleher, you wasted my money, time and increased the suffering of my dog. Don't every yell at a devastated patient when their loved family member is in trouble. Wasted so much money on this Dr., she was NOT helpful and rather rude and well, has a terrible rep with the rest of the Vets I spoke with. read more

Had an emergency back injury with my dog and trying to find a vet chiropractor in our area. Dr. Kelleher wrote back to me and said they were very busy and couldn't help me. Wow!! I took the dog north to an excellent chiropractor who was suggested by a BC Veterinary office and that Dr. got me in immediately and said it was a good thing I acted fast as the dog was very messed up. My dog is doing great now. I'll never suggest this doctor and will never use them......oh that's right they're too busy anyhow.....nevermind. read more
