I walked in to find four teenagers sitting at a table and no one wanting to go to the register to attend to me. A few seconds later, someone finally walked over, but I was told to use the screen to order and that I would have to put my phone number in to look at the menu. I asked if there was a way to do it without putting my number in, but I was told, no and that I needed to put my phone number in to look at the menu to place an order. I politely said no thank you and walked out. Really disappointed because I was hoping to try the Boba and I wish that there was an easier way to look at the menu and place an order. Having attentive employees that really want to work would be nice too. read more

When the sign went up for Dong Tea, I couldn't wait for its doors to open, and I have to say I was not disappointed! The atmosphere was welcoming, and the staff was friendly and attentive. And the decor inside was so cute! During my first visit to Dong Tea, I tried the classic taro milk tea with boba and the brown sugar milk tea with boba. It was so amazing that I went back a couple of days later to try the matcha latte with boba and the monster boba latte, and they were all absolutely delicious. The flavors were rich and creamy, with just the right amount of sweetness. The boba was perfectly chewy, fresh, and warm. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great boba experience! This will definitely be my go-to place for boba in south Lakeland. read more

I enjoyed my first visit during their grand opening week. They are enthusiastic and friendly. I like that the name reflects where the tea is grown in Taiwan. They have lots of drink options, hot & cold, boba and not. I was glad to see the food options-spring rolls, mochinut, chicken poppers. The mochinut (donuts) are under $3 and flavorful, something different. I was there when the case was almost empty so selection was small (smaller than advertised in their photos) but will grow as they learn supply & demand from the locals. They also have an interesting cake that looks like cinnamon toast I'd like to try. I also enjoyed a Vietnamese coffee that was made with a powder so less caloric than condensed milk. It was delicious! I will return. There is ample seating in a pretty environment. I hope it becomes very popular and remains a long time. My wife and I went to dong tea because we were in the area and had a hankering for Boba. This was probably the best decision of the day, if not the week. The service was very polite, and the Boba tea was exceptional. I would not consider myself a connoisseur of Boba tea, however, this has to be amongst the best Boba I have had. I got the Thai tea with black Boba, and my wife got the lychee milk tea with coconut Boba. My Thai tea was exceptional, I usually get it at most of the places I go to, but this was absolutely one of the best, if not the best. The black Boba two had a very pleasant chewy texture, and there was plenty of it. My wife doesn't even like Thai tea, but she admitted that mine was really good. She said hers was great too, and I also had a sip of it and thought the lychee flavor was strong, but not overbearing, and the coconut jellies were a pleasant complement to the tropical flavors of the lychee. All in all, we stumbled upon this place by accident, but we'll make a point to return next time we're in the area. read more

Found this place by accident. It is by far the best boba place. They brew their own green tea and black tea and they're decaffeinated, which never happens! There is Oolong tea which is caffeinated if you want that. The boba was perfectly cooked--not too dry. You can decide the level of sugar to add. I got the least sweet option and it was not sweet at all. You could taste the flavor of the tea. We will be going back! read more

I had the monster boba with tiramisu topping and black boba it was delicious ! The matcha waffles with the bubbles are also really good I also tried a Korean corn dog with cheese and the dog and it was the best cheesepull I ever seen lol 10/10! Really good boba and they have good prices and drinks I recommend it and the works are really nice and great service!!

My sister and I went and the staff were extremely friendly. The boba was also very good quality and you get a good amount of it in your drink. I also enjoyed how they have the option to adjust the sweetness of your drink, as the places I regularly go to in Lakeland do not have that option. read more
