We are gluten free so finding good gluten free pizza is tough. We were pleased to find their gluten free pizza to be very good!

I generally LOVE Donatos, and I expect a wait if I order in the store. BUT this afternoon we watched several customers come and go AFTER we had ordered, and didn't get our pizzas for a hour!!! When I finally forced my inner "Karen" out and asked them where our pizzas were, the girl was very non chalant and went to check. Mind you, we ordered a basic large pepperoni and a small specialty pizza. She handed me the boxes said "sorry about that" and walked off. The pizzas were BOTH room temperature! So they had been sitting back there for who knows how long! Needless to say, we won't be back! VERY bad customer service!!! read more

I called to order some pizzas and the kids who answered couldn't figure out how to use their point of sale system. So, I ordered the pizzas online, using deals/coupons from the website which the kids on the phone earlier couldn't figure out how to apply. They told me I couldn't get the deals clearly listed on the website, but sure enough I had no trouble getting it to work online. I pulled up to the window and they still tried to overcharge me $5 more than the total I was given on my online receipt. That was at 5pm, and the order said it would be done at 5:15pm. It is now 5:45 and they had me pull forward out of the pickup window line because my order still isn't ready. It wasn't complicated. A cheese pizza, a pepperoni pizza, and 25 naked wings with sauce on the SIDE. Unacceptable. They just gave me my order nearly an hour later and the hot chicken rub is ON the wings, and half the wings are for kids who won't touch them if they're spicy. I pulled back up to the window and they're giving me more wings hopefully naked this time. It would appear their computer systems and chain of command are in need of a complete overhaul. An hour wait for two pizzas and some wings is ridiculous, thank god I don't have the kids in the car with me this time around or they'd be flipping out sitting here this long. We order from this Donatos every once in a while and we've never tried their subs so this time we tried their subs and my sub was delicious! I got the Italian sub and they're all baked and they're fresh and the buns are crunchy. If you've never had their pizzas, their pizzas are really good too and with our order we got free six piece boneless chicken wings because we have the Denado's app. My husband and daughter got the chicken bacon ranch and they said it was OK but I really loved mine. This was our first time to try Donatos. We were in town for a vet visit and decided to give them a try. The service was great. I had the hot chicken pizza with the pickles, wow, who would have thought pickles on pizza would be good! My daughter had a create your own style pizza and she thought it was ok, but did not enjoy it as much as she did mine. We also got the cheese bread which was very good, and the cinnamon breadsticks were ok, did not taste like freshly made. The atmosphere was very nice, and very clean. My wife and I ordered a pizza at 12 pm via the app and we got an email notification that the pizza would be delivered around 12:30 +/- a few minutes. We never received our pizza and after several attempts, we were never able to get a hold of the store to let them know. As I side note, I wish real people would pick up the phone these days. Pizza was great. However...the delivery was a complete fail. I put instructions on the order where to drop off. Delivery person left it at the wrong spot and never called or texted me. What an amazing, outstanding place! Their Gluten Free pizza is ridiculously delicious! This was absolutely shocking. I hate gluten free food, but I dont have much choice. Donatos will feed you something you will simply adore, no matter how crippling your food allergies. Service was better than expected, another absolute shock! I mean, it may be Small Town, KY, but they take pizza as seriously as I do! I ordered a topping combo I am certain they've never had to make before, and they knocked it out of the park. I am stuffed so full, and have plenty of leftovers for the next few days. I ordered through the Donatos app and their app could use some improvement. The actual delivery was courtesy of a door dash driver. She was pleasant and showed up to the hotel rather quickly. The pizza and breadsticks were quite honestly terrible. As in a 3am hotel microwaved Totino's party pizza would have been a solid improvement over this "pizzeria quality pizza" at 5pm on a Sunday. read more

Best pizza I can remember since childhood.. and it's still, 20 years later, me and my mom's favorite pizza place. (phish fans: we all start out ssmallll ) There was a location next to Blockbuster Video (pfft lol) in Vestavia Hills, AL where I grew up (restaurant still open I hope). The way that Donatos unfailingly delicately-crisps their pepperonis on top just enough to singe the edges for a perfect crunch- is really the sole reason we love it so much. I wish I could enjoy deep-dish but it always makes me homesick for Donatos. No one does it like they do WE LIKE TO DONATOS... #SORRYIFYOUDONT .and I consume probably 1000lbs of pizza a year so... Tried out this place after hearing rave reviews from several people and I can say that it held up to its reputation. You order at the counter and they bring out your food, something I prefer for places like this. The food came out very quickly, much faster than I was expecting and was delicious. The wings were smaller than expected, so I'm glad we decided to order 12 instead of 6. But the pizza was so filling. They don't skimp on toppings, which is the downside to most pizza places I've visited. Definitely recommend and will be making regular visits to this place. read more

This Donatos was perfect from start to finish.. we are staying in a hotel, called them, customer service was very fast, and courteous. Quoted me 30 mins, they were here in 24 minutes, my deliver person, wish I got her name, she was very polite, and professional.. this starts from great management, and brand values. While traveling through Bowling Green Ky. We stopped at Gasper Brewing Co. We asked them who made the best Pizza in town. Their hands down suggestion was Donato's ! After a quick and easy order process on the web... our pizza and salad arrived at the brewery for us to enjoy!! The salad was big and just what we needed! We had to try the Meatballs and wow so juicy and cheesy with that great Red Sauce!!! The pizza was "the works" and it was so good!! The sauce was so flavorful and the ingredients were a perfect match ! The crust was thin but supportive and made the pizza just right! This is a pretty average restaurant, with the pizza being pretty good and the food coming in a normal amount of time for a pizza place. I gave it 4 stars instead of 3 because the employee who served us was really nice and patient. We went at dinner time on a Thursday and there were only a few other people in there, so getting a place to sit wasn't a problem at all. This place was fun for kids and adults too. They have connect four, jenga blocks which the kids built with and bean bags. The pizza was great! They have awesome staff who made sure we were certainly taken care of and were extremely friendly. Today was second trip there in two days. I ordered the caprese side salad and the big don. Both were very good. One of the few places in bowling green that knows what kind of a bread to use. Today, I order the Italian side salad, the Asiago bread sticks and the meatball shareable. The Asiago bread was delicious.. the salad was good. The meatballs... first let me say they tasted good and I really like their marinara sauce. The meatballs however I found to be a little heavy. I also think a little more marinara on them would be nice. All and all I will be back there again. The staff is very personable.. the restaurant was very clean.
