After finding Danny's Pasta shop on Yelp, I wanted to try it out. It's a tiny shop that smells heavenly inside. They have pasta bowls and pizza slices to go. I also bought a pound of fresh pasta and some house-made Alfredo sauce for tomorrow night's dinner. The guys in the shop were very helpful and everything was quickly ready. Great shop to try out when you're in downtown Bowling Green. Plenty of parking and there are a few tables and chairs outside for dining when the weather is warmer. read more

A hidden gem tucked between towering downtown buildings, offering great tasting, homemade pastas and sauces. Probably the absolute best meatballs I've tasted! They offer pickup/to go only (no seating). The food quality is terrific and the staff have always been super friendly. I tell everyone they should try this place. I do, however have some dislikes. They are skimpy on the sauce and by the time I get it home, the pasta is dry and stuck together. If you order extra sauce, it is too much-however I'd rather have too much than too little. Second, the breadstick that accompanies pasta is disappointing. I usually take one bite and toss it. Lastly, is the cost. I get that it is made from scratch using great ingredients, but I never leave here without sticker-shock. read more

We ordered the pepperoni pizza by the slice, lasagna, tiramisu, & a cannoli. DELICIOUS! The lasagna was SO good and the cannoli was the best I've ever had. Highly recommend. Note that this restaurant does not have a dining room, so we ate in the car. I like that they serve pizza by the slice. The service was excellent. Very nice people working the counter. read more

First visit to this hidden gem . Went for lunch and the food was Incredible. I had Muffalata and parm fries and my guest had chicken Alfredo . Both excellent choices. Our server let's call him Josh for his privacy. Well he was awesome engaging and suggested some items including the Tiramisu. Which was fantastic . Just a small quaint place with table clothes , artwork and it's neatly decorated . We were also visited table side by Danny the owner checking our food quality and service . Quite frankly he already knew the answer was going to be excellent on both . As it's a top notch operation . We were visiting downtown Bowling Green after the Corvette Caravan and looking for something good for lunch when we found Danny Pasta on Yelp. The young lady at the register was very helpful, and Danny was very nice! The menu was overhead above the register and easy to read. This is not a restaurant; it is more like a carryout. There are some tables and chairs outside, but there is no cover. I got the pappardelle pasta (all their pasta is fresh!) with half marinara & half alfredo sauce and meatballs. This is just a personal preference, so I did not take any stars off, but I prefer more sauce on my noodles and more spices in my meatballs. It was still terrific. My husband ordered a slice of pepperoni pizza and a sub (very much like an Italian sub). Both were sooo good. They gave us tableware to eat with. I would order from them again if ever in the area! Yes!!! We've been waiting for this place to open! We ate in his restaurant when he was making yummy pasta in Funky Bean and now I'm so glad he gets to own his own place. He's making all his yummy homemade pastas and homemade focaccia. We ordered some yummy dinner for the whole family and it was all delicious. If we weren't moving I'd be here over and over again! My wife wanted pasta, so we ended up here. What a find this place is! They have been open less than a year and it is some of the best pasta/Italian food that I have had in the past few years. The owner is friendly and helpful as expected but incredibly into his business. Very polite and talkative. Very hands-on which is a plus. Pasta is made fresh daily, plates are cooked to order. Everything is neatly assembled in to-go packaging. Pizza slice was hot, fresh and tasted great because it didn't have any overwhelming flavors or spices. The same thing is said about the "build your own" pasta/sauce/meat plates we ordered. No exceedingly strong overtones of garlic you usually find in restaurants. Just right on the spices. The plates come with a breadstick. The restaurant is quaint with a counter area for ordering. Tables are outside for sit-down eating. We will have to return to get other items on the menu like focaccia bread (four flavors) and desserts (cannolis, tiramisu, etc). read more

Danny's catered a reunion my friend was hosting and EVERYTHING was exceptional! My friend ordered 3 giant tins of lasagna - enough to feed 16 people EACH, and a spicy sausage pasta tin for 16, and a Tiramisu for 16. Each bite was as if it was prepared for one person! Wow is not adequate enough to describe Danny's fresh pasta and ingredients! My husband and I traveled to Bowling Green KY a couple of days. We found Danny's Pasta on Yelp and decided to give it a try. I am not sure how to describe my experience. I wanted to inhale the pasta as I opened the container, yet at the same time eating it as slowly as possible to savor every bite of it. I ordered the pappardelle with basil pesto, roasted garlic and lobster, and my husband had the fettuccine with roasted garlic and marinara sauce. They were both superb! We dropped in tonight as first time visitors to Danny's and must say Wow!!! Fresh pasta and fresh ingredients. Flavors on the two different dishes we got were authentic and just delicious. I have had Italian food from New York, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and even Florida but this is mediocre and bland. The pasta with meatballs was with 3 tiny meatballs, the rigatoni with sausage had barely any sausage in it, the garlic bread were actually skinny sticks. So for the price, taste, and amount of food provided I gave it a 3. I think there should be more flavor, more meat, and additional items in menu. read more

My wife has had a craving for "good Alfredo" for a couple weeks. I was scrolling through yelp looking at Italian restaurants and stumbled across this gem. I went to their website and really couldn't figure out much... is this take home and cook it, do they cook it, why do I see shrimp in dishes but its not under proteins? So many questions... So I asked my wife if she wanted to try it... a website this bad means the food should be pretty good. Well... we are really glad we tried it. So apparently they are more interested in cooking than making a fancy website! Food was great... So... is it take home and cook it or do they serve up meals? The answer is Yes and Yes. They offer both. Yes they have shrimp... The young lady (I really wish I got her name but it was busy and I didn't want to hold the line up any more then I already did) that takes orders was pleasant, warm and charming. Those cooking never looked up past order slips... they were busy and focused on doing what they do, and they do it well. We will definitely be back. While waiting for our food the aromas with each dish they cooked were amazing and had my wife and I looking at the menu trying to guess what dish it was. I tried a slice of the pizza with my pasta just to see, and thought it was really good. the bread they serve with the pasta, we bought a big square of it to try... when we got home pasta was still piping hot, the pizza was still hot, we tossed the square of bread in the oven at 300 for 15 minutes and had a nice meal at home (glad I had a bottle of wine on hand, felt like we were fine dining in our living room, and the smell of the warm bread made the house smell amazing (and yes we do cook, this was just effortless for a great meal)). There are a lot of things on their menu we look forward to trying. My wife and I did the build your own past bowl, Fettuccini, Alfredo, Shrimp, Lobster, Mushrooms, a slice of Pepperoni Pizza, a square of Garlic Rosemary Focaccia, and Tiramisu for desert. The one negative (and this is me being super critical), but I am giving an honest review... the lobster in my pasta was a little over cooked. So I would say if you want authentic Italian food, go say hi to the young lady taking orders and enjoy the aromas while you wait. read more

This place is fire. I've ordered the chicken cutlet, several different pasta bowls, pizza, and the focaccia bread. Everything I've got from Danny's has been great. I prefer the sandwiches over the pasta, but both are amazing. They've also got a small selection of drinks, desserts, and dry items to take home. No seating inside but they do have a few tables outside to eat at on nice days. Everyone there has always been super friendly and welcoming. read more
