    Pepperoni pizza
 Italian sub
Pappardelle pasta with half marinara & half alfredo with meatballs

We were visiting downtown Bowling Green after the Corvette Caravan and looking for something good for lunch when we found Danny Pasta on Yelp. The young lady at the register was very helpful, and Danny was very nice! The menu was overhead above the register and easy to read. This is not a restaurant; it is more like a carryout. There are some tables and chairs outside, but there is no cover. I got the pappardelle pasta (all their pasta is fresh!) with half marinara & half alfredo sauce and meatballs. This is just a personal preference, so I did not take any stars off, but I prefer more sauce on my noodles and more spices in my meatballs. It was still terrific. My husband ordered a slice of pepperoni pizza and a sub (very much like an Italian sub). Both were sooo good. They gave us tableware to eat with. I would order from them again if ever in the area! You can also order pasta by the pound!

Yes!!! We've been waiting for this place to open! We ate in his restaurant when he was making yummy pasta in Funky Bean and now I'm so glad he gets to own his own place. He's making all his yummy homemade pastas and homemade focaccia. We ordered some yummy dinner for the whole family and it was all delicious. If we weren't moving I'd be here over and over again! Go see!!

My wife wanted pasta, so we ended up here. What a find this place is! They have been open less than a year and it is some of the best pasta/Italian food that I have had in the past few years. The owner is friendly and helpful as expected but incredibly into his business. Very polite and talkative. Very hands-on which is a plus. Pasta is made fresh daily, plates are cooked to order. Everything is neatly assembled in to-go packaging. Pizza slice was hot, fresh and tasted great because it didn't have any overwhelming flavors or spices. The same thing is said about the "build your own" pasta/sauce/meat plates we ordered. No exceedingly strong overtones of garlic you usually find in restaurants. Just right on the spices. The plates come with a breadstick. The restaurant is quaint with a counter area for ordering. Tables are outside for sit-down eating. We will have to return to get other items on the menu like focaccia bread (four flavors) and desserts (cannolis, tiramisu, etc).

They were having an event in the main room, but still gave us all the attention we needed. Loved their menu selections! Super helpful server. We were served focaccia bread, which unfortunately was cold...seemed like an odd choice, but maybe that's not normal. We ordered the bolognese and chicken Parmesan, but subbed the marinara for vodka sauce. It came out in around 15 minutes. My friend and I were sharing our food, and so we each gave some to the other to try. I noticed after giving her some of my chicken parm that the chicken looked odd (low light, so I wasn't sure). I cut into the middle and noticed it was still very raw in the middle. Told her not to eat it, but she'd already had a bite. Thankfully it was the end piece and nothing bad ever happened to her! We showed the waiter and he started a whole new order for me. The manager came over and profusely apologized and said my meal would be covered by them. I've been to places before where things like this happen and no one ever comes to apologize, so this leadership was what kept the 5 star review here. Took longer this time to cook, but was happy about that haha. When it came out, it was delicious! Sadly though the pasta was a little firmer than al dente, it was marinara instead of vodka sauce, and the noodle was thinner than the first round. Which was just humorous later haha. But nice to try both sauces! Vodka sauce was definitely the way to go though! So order that if you're ever here! They came out once we were finished and told us both of our meals were covered because we weren't able to eat together. So 11/10 for customer service. Thanks for a delicious meal, even with the chicken error. I would definitely return if I'm ever in the area again.

The salads are one of the best parts and the lobster ravioli are sublime, but pricey. I started with a soup, while my brother started with a salad. They were served with these garlic rolls, which were absolutely delicious to eat both alone and with the soup. Then came time for the entrees. I got the Sausage and Pepper Parmigiana, while my brother got the Fettuccine Alfredo with Chicken. My Sausage and Pepper Parmigiana had a delicious mix of flavor and spice which I enjoyed every bite of, while my brother enjoyed his Fettuccine Alfredo with Chicken. Additionally, we had thought from looking online that this would be one of our pricier meals out, but Cafe Italia actually ended up being a great value, as our meals included a soup or salad and rolls, and the portions were so generous, I needed to pack some of my entree away to eat in the morning. In short, we wholeheartly recommend Cafe Italia, both because the food is excellent but also because the portions are so large they are an excellent value. We are glad we chose to go here and would definitely come back here if in the area again.

However, I consider such places above my budget. A friend who has had pedigree dogs suggested I get some beef/pork hocks and cross-cut marrow bones for my pup. In fact, a lady later heard me talk about this somewhere and said she would be going to get some for her Great Danes. (I hope I don't cause a rush on these and then I can't get them! :-) However, I found a new venue where I can get Penn's country ham. I have a venue for Berger (sp?) ham but I actually prefer Penn's. Now I can't stop going in there to buy country ham because it's one of my favorites. Alas, the saga continues, because one day I splurged on a pint of gourmet ice cream. No, it wasn't cheap, but OH MY GOSH I can't even describe it! This shocked me because I am not much of an ice cream eater having had an intolerance for milk as a baby. This stuff is indescribably delicious! I have also found other items occasionally like huge baking potatoes or fresh corn on the cob that they occasionally have. Iim just a little annoyed that it's taken me nine years to go in and check it out. The service is very good, and there is an obvious aura of family pride in their service. Because of all their yummy delectable items, you might have to wait a few minutes because they often cut your meat while you wait.
