HORRIBLE! SO RUDE! AVOID! I went to the dentist for a regular cleaning and the hygenist was complaining of my non existent plaque and talking down to me. They were so rude and said they needed to take X-rays. She said I had 4 cavities and the X-ray showed of nothing. She didn't even show my mom the X-ray and then made 4 appointments. So rude! And I haven't even had dental pain! They just want to take your money and do no necessary procedures. DONT GO HERE! read more

AVOID THIS OFFICE! Very difficult to navigate for a person with a walker. Downright dangerous and near impossible. Donald Baker is rude and condescending. He uses dirty gloves! He will put down his gloves on the counter and when he comes back to that patient, use them again! The office is way out of date and looks unsanitary. Please go somewhere else. read more

The Good: I had tooth pain for two years that no other dentist would do anything about because they couldn't see any damage. I have a condition that causes nerve issues, so it wasn't the tooth, it was the nerve. I wanted to get it pulled so bad. The pain was terrible. When I saw Dr. Lisa Baker, we decided that it was probably time. I went to Bloomington Oral Surgery (that was traumatizing and horrible because the gas didn't work, but that's for different yelp), and got the tooth pulled. I don't miss it at all and I'm so glad a dentist finally listened to me. The bad: If you have a walker, wheelchair, or cane, it's kinda hard to get around or stay out of the way. There is no ramp or handicapped parking that I'm aware of. I would go back. read more

Disgusting!!! The worst dental experience ever. I went there simply because they have open appointments. However, This was a terrible mistake. Before teeth cleaning, the "doctor" poked his fingers into my mouth "examining" potential teeth problems，which was totally unnecessary and made me feel uncomfortable. He showed me my plaques on that incisor, but then his next step was put that incisor back in my mouth, without cleaning that plaque off?!! He even rub my face all the way from the temple down to my neck with his messy gloves on, "examining" if I have pain or something. ?!!!!!!! I ended up with a really messy face and grose feeling, not mentioning how rude he was when He cleaned my teeth. Normally after teeth cleaning, my teeth are less sensitive and feeling great. But this time, not only my teeth hurts, my gums is bleeding. He literally poke a hole on my gum! The environment was also very messy and very old. I really doubt if he has a license. Guess what, when I check him out on http://www.medicare.gov/, couldn't find him. !!! Don't go even when you can't find an appointment! read more

I went here while I was in college and didn't have time to make it to my regular dentist at home. I went in for the regular cleaning/checkup and he said I had cavities in all 4 wisdom teeth, in addition to 2 other cavities. He told me the 4 wisdom teeth needed to be removed ASAP and the 2 cavities filled. I told him I'd schedule it at a later time. I went to my regular dentist 6 months later and she told me that my wisdom teeth were fine and getting them pulled was completely optional, given that they weren't causing any problems (they weren't, and still aren't 6 years later). She also said I had no cavities. So basically Dr. Baker was trying to do work that I did not need so he could get paid. Based on that and reading the other reviews, I have no idea how this guy hasn't been barred from practicing. My second issue with this "dentist" has to do with a small claim he placed against me. He claimed I did not pay the $20 copay the time I made the mistake of going to his office for a checkup, and went so far as to file a claim against me in small claims court. First, this claim was placed 3 years after I went there...so not really sure what the motivation was to place it. Second, it's pretty tough to leave the office without paying the copay, plus I wouldn't have been able to pick up my prescription that he wrote for some mouthwash that I'm guessing I didn't really need. Just another attempt at trying to get yet more money. Basically, if you're thinking of going to this guy, punch yourself in the mouth instead because that's providing better care to your teeth than this guy will. read more

If I could give a negative I would. After calling several offices and being nearly hung up on by most places i find one that accepts Medicaid. I went here today and it took 3 hours there with my small kids and nice front desk ladies. Well 90% of my time was waiting. Then got my ex ray he said my teeth look really nice. He takes a look and sees that I have stage 3 gum disease and yes that sucks and it's my fault for not flossing and might I add never seeing a dentist ever but I do brush and rinse with pricy stuff and try to eat well. At any rate I'm terrified he starts going at it and it hurt and he told me he can numb it but I'm terrified of needles so I decline and I'm scared still he sees I'm scared and he shows me a 4 stage pic of gum disease and says some rude stuff and ends with he won't be hearing me whine while he's scaling or he will stop and reschedule with numbing. He then tells me I'm just going to have to be a big girl about this and do it and my kids have nothin to do with it, in response to asking if I should come back with out my kids who only had me with them (2&4 yo boys) cut to I'm in a chair getting my "gum disease houses" as he put it scraped out and he makes me hold this mirror and tells me he wants me to watch what's going on even after I said I didn't wan to look so the whole time he makes me hold up this stupid mirror. several condescending and rude comments later I was done and as were leaving I asked if the kids could have a bouncy ball since the room they put us in was right next to a shelf of buckets of toys with a drawer full of refills and she said no there was not enough (15 in the jar and a bag of refills) but if they got their teeth cleaned next time they could. Really? Just wow. I will never go back I'm actually going to Indianapolis for my next appointment and keeping the wonderful pediatric dentist dr. Matt at southern Indiana pediatrics. When I was a little girl I use to see doctor baker. The experience that I had while seeing him left me traumatized of the dentist. He pulled several of my baby teeth and done lots of work that I'm sure didn't even need to be done, but that's not even the worst part.. he would strap me in one of those papoose things that look like a cocoon to hold my hands down to my sides while he did his work. Eventually my mother said enough is enough not to mention I was terrified every time I had to go to the dentist so we switched and I started seeing Dr Keith Roberts. It was like night and day. I had no idea dentist could be so caring! I didn't mind going to the dentist so much after that. But as for my teeth's sake the damage had been done. My new dentist told me the work he had done by pulling and filling my baby teeth that my adult teeth weren't able to come in right which is why I had so many issues with my adult teeth. I honestly have no idea how he still has a license!!! read more

I just took my daughter to his office, and our overall experiance was horrible and upsetting. I am really suspicious that he claims more damage and more works needs to be done just to get paid. I am also a student in Bloomington, and this my first dental experiance in Indiana as compared to New York, and let me say a dirty office, rudeness, and the overall attitude of the personel (except for one assistant) really left me wondering how people can accept this kind of treatment, not to say pay for it. It is a dental workshop at its worst. We are not going back there. read more
