Do NOT go here. The office is dingy and Lisa herself can come off as rude. A friend told me that she overheard her talking about how "gross" a patient was when they were across the room from her! She personally wrote up a ridiculously expensive and extensive treatment plan for me, which I showed to another dentist and he agreed it was ridiculous. She was polite but that's about it. Take your money and time elsewhere. read more

I have been going to see Dr. Lisa Baker for the past 2-3 years. I have always had a great experience and the dental hygienists and reception staff are helpful, friendly, and kind. Almost every time I go for my 6-month visit, I wait less than 10 minutes in the waiting room before my cleaning and less than 10 minutes between my cleaning and for Dr. Baker to finish the appointment. They always compliment me for the effort I've put into my dental health and I leave feeling excited to go back again! I've never felt that way at the dentist before so this is all to say that Dr. Lisa Baker is a fantastic dentist and Bloomington treasure. I will miss her and her great staff when I move in the next few months! read more

My family has been visiting the Baker dental office for 30 years. In the beginning they treated my children, and now my mother. Lisa Baker accepts Medicare, is able to Workaround time restrictions to accommodate patient age and schedules and is very respectful during treatment in by explaining what's happening next , getting patient approval, and most importantly, listening to what the patient has to say. They're genuinely interested in reinforcing patient responsibility for taking care of their own teeth, and Dr Lisa offers up various choices for self maintenance that can work depending on the age of the patient. I am happy not only to recommend Dr. Lisa, but I also am proud that such caliber of dentistry exists in our community. read more

I've been seeing both Doctors Baker for years. Dr. Lisa is quite gifted, and has helped me improve my dental regimen tremendously over the years. Today, I got my first porcelain crown. Unlike the silver crowns I've gotten on previous visits, they're able to make porcelain crowns on the spot. I will be walking out today with a brand new crown. Staff has always been friendly, and I would highly recommend this office. read more

I was recommended by the Bloomington Hospital. My second root canal took three hours because she multitasked. I became very ill for days after and my neck was injured. Then I got a bad infection which all resulted in getting a Cat Scan and an MRI! I called and left a message, she never called back. I believe she is abusive like her Father and this was intentional since she never called back. read more

I visited Dr. Lisa for a root canal. She completed it and after several days the pain was still there. I had to visit her a couple of more times for her to tell me it takes 30 days for the pain to go away or it could be the tooth next to it, she never checked that tooth. After a month I had to go back to have it redone. I had to pay for the root canal since my insurance does not. I discovered after having the second one done that she actually billed my insurance, almost the same amount I paid upfront, as a repair/injury to a tooth, which the insurance will pay for with that wording I am told. I waited 30 days, her suggestion, and called to tell them the 2nd root canal did not work I was still in pain. They asked me to come back in or to see her friend and I told them I wanted a copy of my records as I was going to get another opinion. I don't feel comfortable seeing someone who is scamming my insurance company!!! The told me they would mail my records, nothing, then they told me she would call me, nothing. This past Friday I was told them would be emailed to me by the end of the day, guess what, nothing!! My insurance has opened a claim to review all the charges she submitted to them, that I already had paid for, and they are going to review anyone else who has my insurance that has visited her. She should not have charged my insurance anything at all as I verified, three times, before the procedure what it all included and I was told xrays, numbing, the root canal and the filling. Now I am told that what I paid didn't cover xrays and filling so they billed insurance. That is NOT what I was told 3 times. I am going to their office tomorrow to wait on my records, its against the law to refuse to give them to me and go get a second opinion about this tooth that still has me in pain! read more

I have been frightened of dentists my whole life and done everything I can to avoid them, my wife actually has to make my appointments. This was until we started going to Dr. Baker. My previous dentist had me set up for several high cost procedures, he always seemed more interested in charges than what needed doing. In any case, Dr. Baker took care of one of these issues, in a couple of minutes with a reshaping of a crown I was having trouble with. First dentist wanted to do a root canal. Before going to her I would require sedation dentistry and generally some sort of calming drug for any type of filling or other work. I do not anymore. Her work is amazing, she cares about her patients needs and does not recommend extra unneeded work. Most importantly I trust her. If you just look at how busy she is, you will understand that it is because she is a fantastic dentist. read more

Was not happy with the work on my teeth. There were many errors in her work that caused unnecessary pain. Felt like she did not like me because I have a brain tumor and had to pay with Medicaid. I'd go as far as to say that she caused intentional damage as a form of capitalization. Dr. Baker probably feels like the odds are in her favor in terms of getting away with this sort of treatment since I'm poor and disabled. In terms of giving to Bloomington, my contributions were at least in the top 10 percent. The most painful thing is being treated with such disrespect after achieving at such a high level and giving a lot to Bloomington in the past. I guess everything is money these days. It makes you wonder what they are really buying. read more

A family member's radiation oncologist recommended her before his radiation treatment. Because of her dental advice, she had his radiation treatment held up for weeks until finally the RO called and asked what the hold up was. She did not understand the urgency of the situation. (Why? I have no idea!) I might add that the whole office was dirty and equipment outdated including the dental chair that looked about 40-years old. Not to mention, at the first appointment, he waited for 1 hour and 45 minutes before she worked on him. Horrible experience. If you have cancer and are required to go get dental work, make sure the dentist has a clue as to the urgency of the matter. read more

In the office everyone is in one room when they are getting their teeth worked on. The lights in the ceiling are dirty and the lights that they look in your mouth are as well. Something was hanging from the ceiling with a black trash bag over it. I noticed dirty chairs. Didn't see a tray for the dental equipment or any cleaning supplies that would be used on dental equipment. I watched them x-ray someone and noticed that they only sprayed the mouth piece, and put it in someone else's mouth. (So I worry about transference of fluids and diseases) I didn't notice when they cleaned anything. The mother of Lisa was there and she kept talking about what a good dentist she was. I have a feeling that only those who are friends with Lisa Baker have written good reviews, I even think that Lisa, the dentist wrote a review for herself. The rest are real patients who are truly unhappy with the service. She also told me my mouth was full of cavities, I didn't want her drilling on me because I am afraid that her instruments are not sanitary. Something told me NOT TO GO BACK and to find another dentist. She and her staff are very unprofessional. read more

Was very unimpressed with L. Baker's practice, building, staff, and professionalism... The 45 minute wait in the front room, would have been understandable, if the service was any good when we finally got back to see this woman. One would assume when you put pediatric anything after your name, you would be able to handle children well (not the case.) When we were told that our 3 year old would need a root canal, but never fully explained why because "she was just too busy" (direct quote). Then for an added touch of irritation her dental assistant kept singing her praises as I comforted my children's cries and sore mouths, because her dental assistant is her mother. So if you would like to pay $300+ to have a "professional" treat you and your kids like you're wasting her time, then by all means step into her trailer.... But for your money you can find cleaner, happier, and healthier dentists a mile down the road read more
