I scheduled everything online, and then I heard from Quinn. He was super friendly and went over all the details with me. Their minimum service time is 2 hours, which totally makes sense because they are just that efficient! If they charged by the hour, they'd be in a tough spot. They arrived, moved our appliances, swept up the area, and took boxes and the table to the basement--all in under an hour! They even asked if I needed anything else done. I was blown away by their awesome service! It was a no-brainer to call them again when it was time to bring the appliances back into the kitchen. The problems began with the move to AR. Four men showed up to pack up my stuff in Joplin. They underestimated the amount so had to wait for an additional trailer to pack most of the rest, this caused their truck to have issues climbing hills so it was over 2.5 hours to drive the 1.5 hour trip (I took a load in my truck too). For some reason, they decided to only send three men to unload! So after 12 hours they finally "finished" unloading. 5 Star did cap my rate at the maximum they estimated, but it could have been much less, I believe. The reason for the one star is that because of the delays and length of time for the three men unloading, they weren't able to reassembly the beds and furniture as they included in the estimate, and 50+% of my items are scratched, dented, missing parts, or broken! Bison was hired by DVIS (Domestic Violence Intervention Services) to get me safely out of my home last August 2025 and Bison failed to provide this. I did everything I was supposed to do and reported what happened to DVIS. That former case mgr told me to call Bison. This in the middle of an out-of-town relocation for my own safety and during recovery from two illnesses while experiencing DV. The owner has the audacity to suggest on Yelp 2 things: That I was reaching out to him (reframing) and that I was somehow responsible for what took place, which is a very interesting way to look at things. In truth, I reached out to the business the week before moving day because I knew I wasn't going to be ready for them to move everything by that Friday. The DVIS case manager, who is a good friend of the business owner (her words) told me to call them and asked for extra help. I have chronic Lyme disease and was recovering from mononucleosis (reactivated Epstein Barr virus due to extreme stress). I'm also a senior. Bison Moving said they had no availability. I was left with no one to turn to for help. The business owner has recently stated on here that he fired his employee, J, over the incident. Good to know -- when I called to speak to the owner in Sept 2025, I was met with hostility and no update. But this predator is still out there somewhere, stated to me that he'd worked there for 5 years, and was 27 at the time. He still felt comfortable enough to text me a week after the move "to check on me and see if I needed any more help". It was scary. He showed no anxiety while in my home on that Friday and Saturday, was very superficially charming and arrogant. He had likely done this before and will likely do it again, only next time it may be worse. Women -- take precautions with all strange men coming into your home. You must protect yourselves from these types because they're everywhere right now. Bison Moving's crew walked into my home knowing why they were there -- J expressed his sympathy and asked for a hug first thing, and it felt icky. He knew I was vulnerable, exhausted, and desperate because he knew DVIS had contracted the move. They all knew. He later asked if he could take his shirt off. I fed two of the crew members because one of them told me he had not even eaten before showing up to work and responded that he was hungry when I asked. And I worked right alongside them, even though I was very ill. At the end of that day when we were all on the elevator, J asked me if I was going to give them a big tip. It was a horrible experience all around. And then J showed up the next day since he just happened to be free on Saturday -- to use more coercive control and assault me, and make some good cash. He told me it was fine with Bison and he did it all the time. He was the team leader and the other two guys said nothing. Fortunately, another company was hired to finish the job at a later date by moving me to my actual new city, and they were fantastic. Zero issues, I felt safe and they exhibited total professionalism, so it is possible.

Beast Mode Movers showed no remorse over the death of my friend that I was requested to remove personal belongings. Not realizing these movers were not in Ponca City because they showed up in Ponca City's mover's list as a top mover, I needed movers and was in a time crunch. When they arrived, I was requested to send the remainder of the fee of which I did. Then the job was incomplete even though I was telling them that I was willing to pay for the extra time. The 15 foot truck was barely half full after two hours and they were like "this job is already going to be over 6 hours, we need to go". (2 hours travel and receiving the truck in Ponca, 2 hours to move what was requested, and 2 hours return trip) and even though I was telling them I wasn't worried about paying them (and I was adding a tip on top of the bill) they were determined they were leaving to drop off at new address. What was done was rushed. There was a dining room table that I insisted the top had to be removed first. They were "we were going to move it as a single unit" and proceeded to do so. They carried it by the top and the bolts stripped the connecting hole and the table now wobbles until I can get it repaired. The questionnaire even asked if there was something that needed to be disassembled. It was only two bolts! I had to wait for transportation for me, but they were in such a hurry that I knew I was going to be there shortly afterwards. It was agreed that the furniture that made it to the truck could be placed in my parking space... they put it in the wrong parking space in the next building.
