Went to watch the World Cup final. Server was awesome and food was very tasty and authentic.

If one is looking for an authentic Mexican restaurant this is where they should go. Nice workers, but as we walked in, it kinda felt rushed they sat us down and we picked up the menus they got us drinks and about a minute later they asked us what we wanted. There is a huge menu, lots of options. But my family is all American and they don't understand much Spanish so it felt a bit overwhelming or all up in our face about it which is fine. But we were rushed into ordering when I might have wanted an extra moment to resume looking over the menu. I got the fajitas de nachos. Very good. They got our food out fast and it was hot but not like steaming hot. There was Mexican music playing in the background which fit the vibe. The bathrooms were mediocre at best kind of crammed together and unsanitary. The tables were nice. What I liked above this place was the seats they were custom seats which set them apart. Overall I think it was good but next time they should've let us sit down and think abt what we wanted for a bit longer. read more

You ever have those moments when you're not sure if you're hungry? You might not be. But you might be. So you take the chance to eat, even though you're unsure of if it's the right move. But also, if you don't eat you might die? This was one of those moments. It was nigh on dinner time and I wasn't sure of my next move. Nothing in particular sounded good. When that's the case, you can always settle for Mexican. Who doesn't like tacos and taco related foods? I saw this was a fairly new restaurant so I decided to give it a run. (Also, this place used to be the River Street Station, where I spent A LOT of time stuffing my face). Nostalgia 10/10. Taking a corner booth, I opened my menu and stared. I just wasn't sure what I needed. Nothing in particular stood out, so I settled on nachos and a single taco. Always get a taco at a Mexican place, regardless of what else you get. Get a taco. Do it. The nachos came with refried beans, shredded chicken, beef, lettuce, tomatoes, sour cream, cheese, and potentially something else I'm forgetting. I ordered a beef taco. American. On a flour shell. (American tacos usually come with lettuce, tomato, and cheese). Usually I go for the chorizo, Mexican style, but a good ol' fashioned beefer sounded good. My food arrived in a timely fashion and as usual, the nachos were piled high and my taco was wrapped up nice and neat it a little aluminum foil coffin. I was feeling spicy, so I added several large thwumps of hot sauce. And unfortunately from here, it's just kind of where things stop. I'm a fan of nachos. Who doesn't like meat, cheese, and chips. I lived off poor man nachos (chips and cheese), for a long time, and still revisit that delicacy. Though these looked fantastic, the flavor was just...off. Or maybe it was lack of spices or even spice. If it wasn't for the hot sauce, they would have just been bland. I think instead of having chicken AND beef, there should be one or the other. Mostly because I think it was the chicken that contributed to the soggy bottom of nachos. There was just a lot of juice. Know what doesn't sound appealing for nachos? Juice. The taco, though healed in meat, had good flavor. However, I think because it was wrapped in its own little sarcophagus, if you didn't eat it right away, the wetness would begin to take over and the shell would become a soggy mess. I love this place! I have been here twice now and will be sure to come back every time I'm in town! This visit we had absolute PERFECT service. I worked in restaurants for almost a decade so I don't give that compliment lightly. So wish I'd gotten our servers name. He was welcoming, attentive without interrupting, and welcomed questions about the menu. I couldn't decide between the enchiladas which I'd had before and the carne asade. Went with the carne asade per recommendation. You can see in the picture ..that presentation...wow! It was incredible. The only critique if only was that part of it was a little more done than I'd prefer, so consider asking for it a little less done. My dinner date got the burrito and loved it. You can see in the photo how huge it was! I don't drink alcohol but checked out the menu and their selection is incredible! Tons of unique drinks including a champagne margarita. Came here right when the place opened, bathrooms were already out of paper and soap, pretty dirty honestly. Food was just ok. The huge burrito was enough to feed 3 people, flavor was good too, just don't think I'd order it again. The tacos, only the Al pastor was good, the rest of the meats were chewy and not too flavorful. Good quality food, solid drinks. It seems be more authentic than most Mexican spots up north. Go here instead of the place next door.

Enchiladas delivered cold, luke warm at best. Server was busy so it took 15 minutes to finally get his attention and have the plate nuked. Not the servers fault. Hostess or manager could have checked the table after meals were delivered. Quality was OK, nothing special. Pricey for quality of food. They charge $5 for chips/salsa. They note that charge via a sign at the door but without prompt, hostess dumped chips and salsa on table as soon as we sat down. No big deal, we were gonna order anyway but beware - let them know as you're seated. Patio nice - good river view. Bathrooms need some basic maintenance - soap dispenser not working, paper towels sitting on top of dispenser, holes is mirror wall. Take 20 minutes and fix this easy stuff. My mom always said - if the bathroom isn't clean and maintained, just imagine what the kitchen looks like. read more

Pleasantly surprised!! Stopped in with my daughter and her two young kids for lunch on Sunday. Sat outside and the weather was beautiful. We asked the waiter who was so nice what the house specialty was and we took his advice. I had a chicken steak and shrimp dish over rice. My daughter had the shrimp and rice which had Avacado and lettuce. Served with corn tortillas! The food was large portions and seasoned perfectly. All three meats on my platter were amazing. The staff is delightful. I will come again and actually have friends get me take out to bring back to Frankfort when they stop there!! It is that good. Give it a try!! read more

Our waiter, Pancho, was very good! The food was good, but they seemed to skimp on many things... first of all, when we were seated, our waiter informed us that chips and salsa were not compIimentary and then asked if we'd like chips and salsa... I ordered the house chicken enchiladas with cheese and green sauce. Normally, enchiladas are smothered with sauce and cheese...the chicken was very good but the enchiladas were dry with minimal green sauce and such a small amount of shredded cheese it was barely noticeable... see the picture. They were good but not as good as other enchiladas that I've had. Although the food was all quite good overall, the prices were quite high...the happy hour margaritas were $6.99 for the small. My friend ordered the regular margarita and when she got her bill it was $13.99. She also asked for extra sour cream for her quesadilla because it was supposed to have been topped with it. There was a little sour cream on the lettuce on the side of her quesadilla but none on the quesadilla. When she got her bill they had charged her an extra $1.25 for a small plastic container... although our waiter was very nice, the prices will more than likely keep us away in the future... read more

For being a new restaurant the food was amazing. The atmosphere was beautiful with soft music in the background and a beautiful outdoor seating area. The food came out quickly and the presentation was almost as amazing as the taste and quality of the food. Wish the new owner was here to give a congratulations to. Had lunch here about two weeks ago on the back patio. It was very enjoyable. There were four of us. Each of us had one of the lunch specials. All were good, but nothing stands out as remarkable. The lunch portions were perfect. Had a frozen strawberry margarita as well. Very tasty. Will be back again for sure. read more

I have been here three times and I will continue to go back. Very happy they are in a convenient location downtown! There's even outdoor seating for those nice days where you can watch the boats go by on the channel. Their tacos and enchiladas are delicious! They have plenty of people working.
