This place was expensive! Yes the price of ever has gone way up and this place definitely did not fall behind. The tacos are served on metal the trays open face. They don't stand a chance. By the time we got our salsa and toppings they were all cold. COLD. We got asada, trompo, Al pastor and chicken. Don't judge me on my chicken tacos those were for my kids. The trompo tacos were the only ones that were good. The asada is not a good steak meal cut and the pastor lacked everything pastor. They do have good salsas so if you decided to give this place a try grab all your toppings and salsas and have them ready to go when you get to your table. We assumed that would already be on the plate when we got our food but no. Atmosphere-wise, giving hole in the wall, nothing wrong with that. They had music going and the tv going with a novela at the same time. There's a snack ice cream shop inside the restaurant too over to the side and plenty of tables and booths.

The tacos were ok - meat needed more salt. The salsas are delicious and spicy. They have an adjoining fruteria that looked amazing but we were too stuffed to get anything. Definitely need to try that the next time we go.

Parking available right outside. The store has two sides, one for fruit/ ice cream drinks and the other for tacos. I got the birria tacos. The consommé tasted burnt like it came from burned meat and chef was trying to conserve it. I was not a fan of the self serve condiments and toppings. Anything could be done to it, by anybody... luckily the sauces were bottled so I did try that. They also put cilantro and onion in my container which I noticed once home which was nice, as I didn't want to eat the open toppings at the self serve station. Hopefully, the fruit drinks are better as I would not get the tacos again. Not recommended. Nice people in the establishment tho, very welcoming.

Tacos are extremely basic. They are literally nothing but tortilla and the meat that you order. I wouldn't give it any stars but I have to for this review. My advice is to try somewhere else.

Delicious authentic tasting taco spot. We ordered the 3 taco plate with 3 different meats and also the quesadilla plate with 2 different meats. Everything was delicious! The quesadillas only come stuffed with meat and cheese but they give you some grilled onions and a tiny taco salad on the side that you can add in. Generous servings as well.

This place is legit for all the mexican snacks! if you don't feel like driving, they are on UBER EATS!!!!! I have had their elotes, mangonada, and rusa. Their mangonada is like a popsicle dipped in chamoy served in a plastic cup. It's a small little treat thats refreshing. The rusa needs less cucumber but portion is huge. The drink I had was 90% cucumber. Elotes was also good. I will be back to try other items!

This place will make your eyes twinkle and have you smiling. It's a place where you go to be a fat boy and still feel like you ate something healthy. They have a great selection for people that might not know what they want to eat. If you feel like nachos, fruit, ice cream, or fresh juice they go you covered; and it will not leave you disappointed. They even have a good variety of Mexican snacks for them cravings that you may also have during a trip. I got the sandia, pepino, and agua de melon for my visit. I saw them cut up the fruit and make the agua from scratch. Everything tasted so delicious with the different toppings they have available. The agua was so good that I killed a large in a few sips and devoured the sandia in one breath. If you're in the area stop and get some good munchies. You will not leave disappointed and will feel good after eating. read more

Had a craving for tacos so I told the wife I'll make a taco run but to a new place we haven't been... So I stopped into Don Tacos because I read the reviews and I saw they have menudos and lengua (beef tongue) as I walked in I was greeted by the very friendly lady behind the counter she made sure my order was packed right and told me the salsa was already in as well. The tacos are reasonably priced $1.5-2 like it should for street tacos and the menudos was close to $10. Salsa bar was your usual, salsa Roja and salsa Verde and Pico, onions, limes... And there's a juice bar right next door if you crave that fresh squeezed happiness in a cup... Also a tub of variety of bottled sodas So I went home drooling from the smell... We were excited because we haven't had good street taco for a minute... We were just a tiny bit disappointed. As others have mentioned the corn tortillas were just a bit harder than we are used to and the lengua was a little bland I think we were spoiled by El Rancho cafeteria and their menudos although good it wasn't the best we've had it was more salty than spicy... I'd say a 3.5 stars for being clean, friendly, quick and for when we're in a pinch for street tacos but we'll always go back to Richardson or El Rancho for good tacos and menudos read more

Tried this place for the 1st time, I will say I liked the beans, normally I do not like beans from anywhere, I ordered chicken tacos but when I got my delivery it was all wrong, I ended up trying the beans but ordered rice to replace the beans, I ended up with pork or steak tacos, not sure which, the flavor was not bad but the meat tasted boiled and was tough. I know some people are reading my review and trying to get why I gave them 3 stars, well the flavor was not bad and my grubhub drive couldn't find where I lived, so the food stayed in the heating bag way longer then it should have, and it was still tasty. I love this place. The best taco joint that's closest to us. They make authentic Mexican street tacos! Don't worry if you don't speak Spanish. They have English menu! The meats are plentiful Veggies are fresh The salsas are delicious!!! One thing to take away with this place is THEY'LL HOOK YOU UP! read more

People working there are very nice and polite however, food they serve is absolutely atrocious. I get that they are trying to work hard to make a living, but cmon man this isn't acceptable. I got a taco plate and it's one of the worst taco plate I've ever eaten in my whole 34 years of life. I thought if I paid for it, I would get something that's at least edible. I guess I was wrong. Initially I was craving a torta elsewhere but I decided to try this place once I saw that they had quesabirria tacos lol. I ordered delivery and got quesabirria tacos, one trompo and one cabeza taco. Unfortunately I was disappointed with everything :/ I saw a few reviews that claimed the food was flavorless, and they're right. The meats were very bland... Called 15 minutes before i got there, asked for 2 burritos, bacon, egg, and cheese. When i got there, it still took 20 minutes, I was the only person there. For $7/each, would have been fine if there had actually been identifiable bacon, egg, and cheese. Mostly beans and rice. Rice in a breakfast burrito is not good. Also, don't go here if you don't speak Spanish. read more

Looking to assuage our taco fix, we ordered to-go form Don Tacos. The lady at the cashier was super helpful and even let us try a few samples of some of the taco meats. The flavor of the meats was great and the salsa bar is awesome. There were several salsa to choose from as well as onions, cilantro, etc. Wish all taco places had a salsa bar. I could only justify 3 stars because the amount of meat they put in the tacos is sort of ridiculous. We felt like we were getting a little sprinkle of meat with our tortillas. What a let down. The price however, was on point, and perhaps explained the lack of actual taco in the taco. We paid around $11 for 6 tacos. So yay for flavor and price! But nay to being teased with the flavor and price. read more

This place is okay. The tacos are missing some flavor. It's missing the street taco Taste most definitely. The tacos are a bit over priced, at least in my opinion. I didn't like the menudo it was so soupy, not enough meat and definitely missing flavor. I go here only as a last resort bc it's the only taco shop I know of in this area. read more

Really good place! Came upon this place when looking for a place to eat late. We tried several plates...no of them disappoint. From pozole, flautas, tacos and quesadillas...all were good. This place is located in a strip mall next to Dons Tacos (gatta try them out). My sister and I came in. They don't have computers anymore (hince: why they were called fruit net) I guess people abuse the privilege. It's a small shop and it was really hot in there. Less than 10 mins and I was sweating. Can at least turn on fan or something. Everything's reasonably priced. My sister got Mangalonda (idk how to spell it) and she loved it. I didnt get anything though. This place is neat tho. read more

The Story: I wanted a fruit salad, ones that I could get easily if I were in California. Whilst driving, I came across this place. Let me tell you, I felt like I was San Diego and never left! It was a great feeling, being that I'm homesick and haven't been back in 3 years, I know shame on me. The Grub: My strawberries and cream cup was indescribable, I didn't want my bites to end. The fruit salad with honey, granola, and yogurt was just as I remembered, super tasty and you don't want your healthy snack disappearing before your eyes due to scarfing it down. Bought 6 tacos tonight from Don Tacos. Two chorizo, two pastor, one trompo and one carne asada. The only thing negative I can say is that I wish I would have ordered more! These are some of the best street tacos I've found in the area. Called in the order, was ready in 10-15 minutes. Everyone there was super friendly, the tacos were outstanding and the salsa was spicy! I decide to grab some Tacos while my husband was getting Tattooed next door. The place is super clean and the staff was friendly. To my surprise they had Yoli soda which is an amazing lemon-lime drink made in Guerrero. I ordered the combo taco meal. This place is truly a hidden gem. I always gravitate towards the imported, mexican Coca-cola and frescas con chocolate. I've also tried their fruit salad(s), and let me tell you...their portions are quite generous! I went in there with a gal-friend, we ordered a large order of assorted fruits...and we still had enough to share with 1-2 more people. I always get cantaloupe, orange slices, and coconut! I usually go to friendly's grocery off of Harry Hines (best street tacos ever!) but I wanted to find something closer to home. We decided to give don tacos a try but the taste fell flat to me. We had the tongue, which was probably the best out of the 3 we got, carve asadas and fajitas. Though there were multiple choices for sauces, they weren't spicy at all. I like the guacamole one the most. But I'm not giving up! I'm determined to find a good taco place closer to home! read more

This place got such good reviews so we ordered pick up today. The chicken and steak sopes were good but not great, not a lot of meat. The Pasteur taco meat had no flavor. They totally left out our grande elote which I was really looking forward to trying. Back to El Rombero and El Salsa Verde for great food. read more

Got delivery through Uber Eats. Adequate. $30 for two entrées. The meat was tasty, but overdone. Corn tortillas for the tacos were tough. Overall bland flavor. Limes provided yielded almost no juice. Usually a cheap simple dessert makes me less critical, but they have none. Meh. read more

This was my first visit to Don's Taco's and I just had a craving for a midnight snack and this return y was it. This is a new place at least it is new to me. The taco bar for the sauces was a no go for me because it didn't have the name of the sauces. Let's just say the green sauce is HOT! The tacos by are street tacos and I ordered two pastor and one fajita taco they average $1.50-$2.00 a taco. The fajita taco wasn't fajita meat I really don't know what it was. I can't say I would return anytime soon. read more

Taco shops are a dime a dozen here in Texas, but these are by far hands down the best corn shells out there! Stopped in while in town to get some lunch, and of course I'm getting tacos while in TX, that's a no brained. Quick and friendly service. I'm surprised they were not as busy for lunch. Location is ok, I'm not from around here. I feel like they would do better in a busier part of the city. They could us more seating because if it did get busy, they would have no where else to sit. So delicious! They have types of tacos other or most restaurants don't. Tacos de alambre are one of my fave kind and they actually serve them here! I also had the chicken tacos & they were so flavorful. I absolutely love that they have a salsa bar with veggies to sprinkle over your food. So classic yet you never see that in the DFW. read more

Love that it is less than 5 minutes from my workplace. I placed an order online and it was ready when I arrived . Glad I didn't have to wait and the guy at the counter was friendly. I had the fajita meat taco. Which was a little bland and dry for my liking. Salsa, onions, cilantro, and etc are not included in the to go box. They have containers in the front for you to get the toppings yourself. As well as the sauce of your choice. Which I do like since I like trying the variety of salsa they provide. They were all good and the spicy ones were actually spicy! read more
