Shrimp Taco, Lengua Taco, OMG Chicken Taco, Al Pastor Taco, Al pastor Quesadilla
Jessica W.

The delicious food, comfortable atmosphere, and quickness of orders make this place my go to when I visit the Local Shacks. We normally sit at Grrrowlers to order beer and have a good view of the big dog park before we order online for OMG Tacos. The less expensive tacos are thankfully my favorites- OMG chicken and the Al pastor. There's just so much flavor and tender meat! The lengua taco is extremely tender but it looks a little unappetizing if you stare at it. The shrimp taco is crispy and yummy, but not as filling as the others. Order is usually ready in 8 mins but they text you when it's ready for an easy pickup at their walk up window. Husband usually gets the burrito that has French fries inside, which is always delicious cause the fries here are outstanding! But he tried the quesadilla this time and it was gigantic! They did not slack on the cheese and al pastor meat was there. He saved a couple slices for dinner later but the quesadilla doesn't heat up well and gets soggy. But seriously cannot go wrong with delicious street tacos. The price of the ones I enjoy are only $3-$3.50 a piece, so not crazy expensive. Tacos, beer, and dog parks make this my favorite weekend location.

Can't believe I wasted calories on this poor presentation of taco Tuesday! The tortilla tasted and felt like they just came off the shelf at Walmart. The meat was cold and dry. There were little to no onions or cilantro. While the service was quick, this is unacceptable. At least try to put together something presentable. This is just a reminder on why I shouldn't come to this place. If you try it, maybe don't go on Tuesday.

OMG - I love OMG tacos! Amazing tastes from the different tacos. A lot of love must go into making these masterpieces. Thank you! There are quite a few eateries all in the area, but the tacos here take the prize! Try them out for sure.

My late night togo spot when craving Mexican food. I usually get the Cali Style Burrito with Steak, let's me tell you, they never disappoint they also have large outdoor dining area with dog friendly parks. The staff greeted me with a smile and was super attentive, they took the time to explain the MENU and made some recommendations .

I stumbled upon this place and it was so good. They had happy hour and it was $1 tacos. The tacos were flavorful and the sauce was good. I can't wait to come back again. There was also plenty of seating outdoors. Pet friendly patio area.

Really great taco stand and, yes, it's a stand and not a restaurant. Took my family on a Tuesday night and enjoyed their Happy Hour (which runs all day on Tuesdays). Because I didn't realize it doesn't have indoor seating we ended up ordering our food to go and I'll definitely be back when the weather is warmer and we can enjoy the tacos when they come straight out of the kitchen and are still nice and warm. They also serve alcohol so we'll be back to partake in some of their tasty drinks as well. The person taking our order was very helpful in assisting us with recommendations. The flavors they put together are original and amazing. I had the OMG Chicken and OMG Port tacos and they were both very good, although the pork taco was my favorite. My daughter loves teriyaki chicken and also decided to get the OMG Chicken taco. She's a very picky eater and she gobbled them both up. My husband tried a variety of tacos, including the barbacoa, and he loved them all. He also had the loaded nachos with beef. He was pleasantly surprised by how large the serving was but it didn't stop him from eating them all himself...lol. He said they were great. We enjoyed our first stop at this place and we'll definitely be back.

Happy hour is definitely the way to go here! Getting some of the signature tacos for a fraction of the price is nice but the sad dry tortillas kill it a bit. The queso was solid but nothing special paired with once again stale chips makes the overall experience a touch disappointing. This is probably a one and done place for us with lots of taco options in the area.

My daughter had been wanting to go to this location. The last time we attempted to go, it was very crowded so we left. This time, we went on a weeknight...taco Tuesday. There were a few people ahead of us but the line moved fairly quickly. Once at the front, we asked a few questions and ordered OMG chicken tacos, steak tacos, barbacoa tacos, elote, and a creme filled churro. The person who took our order was helpful and friendly. We waited under 10 minutes to receive our order. The price for the food was reasonable. Once home, we dug in to our order. All of the tacos were delicious. The tacos were full of meat and the meat was very well seasoned. The elote was very good and the cream filled churro was the perfect dessert after eating the delicious tacos. We will be visiting again.

Tasty margs! Food is yummy! Ordered frozen marg, nachos w/ chicken, and omg elote for $33. Only giving 3 stars for refusing to give ice water to paying customers on hot days!

OMG Pork

I've been getting the OMG Pork tacos for years, it's always been my go-to. However recently I guess they changed the recipe? The pork used to have a little more spice and flavor and the portions used to overflow out the tortilla (obviously in a good way), the garnish used to be a very generous amount of shredded carrots and daikon radish (added a bit of sweetness) and a solid drizzle of their spicy mayo or whatever the sauce is. The ones I got tonight were still decent to be fair, but they're not what they once were. Pork tasted kind of bland and they don't do the daikon anymore? Or if they do they don't use as much as before. When I used to eat them the spice from the meat and the sauce would tingle my mouth, almost burn in a good way and the radish would add sweetness. It was the perfect taco. Now I have whatever they give out nowadays. I gave a two star because the tacos were still okay, but they're not the OMG Porks I once knew and loved.

We don't make it in person as often as we'd like, but we order delivery almost every single weekend--and seriously, we couldn't live without it!! The pozole is the reason. It is absolutely divine. I genuinely dream about it during the week, counting down until the weekend because that's the only time they serve it. The meat is unbelievably tender--melt‑in‑your‑mouth tender--and the flavor is rich, comforting, and deeply satisfying. It's one of those dishes that sticks with you long after the bowl is empty. Everything else is consistently excellent too. The guacamole is always fresh and delicious. All of their salsas are vibrant, fresh, and full of flavor, and you can really taste the quality. Their chips and tortillas are also fresh and delicious, which makes such a difference and really rounds out the whole meal. When we do go to the restaurant in person, the experience is just as good. The servers are always helpful and friendly, the bar is great, and while the atmosphere may not be over‑the‑top fancy, it's comfortable, welcoming, and always very clean, which we really appreciate. Calles de Mexico is one of those rare places that's incredibly consistent over the years. Whether you're dining in or ordering delivery, they never disappoint. And if you're lucky enough to catch them on the weekend--do not miss the pozole!!

We checked the menu on the wall, placed our order with a friendly staff member, and found a table. Our name was called about five minutes later. My partner ordered a pork taco and a shrimp taco and really enjoyed them. He especially liked the shrimp, which had a little heat. I ordered the seasonal vegetable bowl (gluten-free). It was a generous portion with corn, sweet potato, pickled onion, cauliflower, poblano, guac, cilantro, slaw, and rice. The food is definitely worth the price, and we'll visit again when in the area.

And yes, it was good but the extras for delivery will put you in the poor house. I recently arrived for a pick up at one of our distributors. They at least were honest that they needed about two hours to prepare the order. Well, instead of just sitting there I ventured over to Velvet Taco a mile or so away. In Austin if you're a corporate taco person there's Torchy's. Not too many VT locations versus the local start up. Flavors sounded interesting; prices seemed right with a deal posted on the wall. Quick order and I'm walking out the door. Both tacos were great. The Gyro had an authentic crossover flavor; same for the flair of the Korean Fried Rice. Drink could have been bigger. Only complaint I could offer was there were hot sauces at the register with containers to make them togo.

Margarita flight was just ok, pomegranate was my favorite there. Everyone tried different tacos and while they were all unique and stunning to look at, the flavor didn't match the presentation. Super salty but I'm still giving all the stars because they gave me no issues at all about ordering something else as a replacement and the server even came back to say the kitchen staff tried it and it was abnormally salty and apologized. Gotta love that for caring service. Instead I ordered the salmon taco and it was soooooo dang good I ordered more to go home with. Overall this will definitely be on my list when we come to see the inlaws in th future.

The menu has so many tasty offerings and the food was delicious. However, the prices are, in my opinion, steep for street size food. My Mahi Mahi taco was delicious, but it was small. I was still hungry and could have easily ordered a second or even third taco BUT at $11 for one taco that was too steep for lunch. Instead, Dani and I PAID to split chips + salsa - not free, but a paid appetizer. Our server was so quiet we had trouble hearing him and he mostly left us to ourselves, occasionally dropping by to fill waters. Dream Tacos has excellent food, but the portion sizes and cost are far too steep for this area and for being a taco joint. Sadly, I don't think they will last at these ptoces in this location.

The individual servings are big, so plenty for 2 people anyway. The chips are a huge serving also, but the salsa is in a smallish container. My husband really enjoyed his food. Honestly, I didn't like the barbacoa, so I just took it out of the tortillas and ate them by themselves. The barbacoa was very strong and had a wild meat taste to me.
