The delicious food, comfortable atmosphere, and quickness of orders make this place my go to when I visit the Local Shacks. We normally sit at Grrrowlers to order beer and have a good view of the big dog park before we order online for OMG Tacos. The less expensive tacos are thankfully my favorites- OMG chicken and the Al pastor. There's just so much flavor and tender meat! The lengua taco is extremely tender but it looks a little unappetizing if you stare at it. The shrimp taco is crispy and yummy, but not as filling as the others. Order is usually ready in 8 mins but they text you when it's ready for an easy pickup at their walk up window. Husband usually gets the burrito that has French fries inside, which is always delicious cause the fries here are outstanding! But he tried the quesadilla this time and it was gigantic! They did not slack on the cheese and al pastor meat was there. He saved a couple slices for dinner later but the quesadilla doesn't heat up well and gets soggy. But seriously cannot go wrong with delicious street tacos. The price of the ones I enjoy are only $3-$3.50 a piece, so not crazy expensive. Really great taco stand and, yes, it's a stand and not a restaurant. Took my family on a Tuesday night and enjoyed their Happy Hour (which runs all day on Tuesdays). Because I didn't realize it doesn't have indoor seating we ended up ordering our food to go and I'll definitely be back when the weather is warmer and we can enjoy the tacos when they come straight out of the kitchen and are still nice and warm. They also serve alcohol so we'll be back to partake in some of their tasty drinks as well. The person taking our order was very helpful in assisting us with recommendations. The flavors they put together are original and amazing. I had the OMG Chicken and OMG Port tacos and they were both very good, although the pork taco was my favorite. My daughter loves teriyaki chicken and also decided to get the OMG Chicken taco. She's a very picky eater and she gobbled them both up. My husband tried a variety of tacos, including the barbacoa, and he loved them all. He also had the loaded nachos with beef. He was pleasantly surprised by how large the serving was but it didn't stop him from eating them all himself...lol. He said they were great. Happy hour is definitely the way to go here! Getting some of the signature tacos for a fraction of the price is nice but the sad dry tortillas kill it a bit. The queso was solid but nothing special paired with once again stale chips makes the overall experience a touch disappointing. We waited under 10 minutes to receive our order. The price for the food was reasonable. Once home, we dug in to our order. All of the tacos were delicious. The tacos were full of meat and the meat was very well seasoned. The elote was very good and the cream filled churro was the perfect dessert after eating the delicious tacos. The veggie taco had good amount of filling, but there was so much liquid and the tortilla was tiny for that filling, it was impossible to eat, left hands very dirty and a pile of liquid at the bottom. Do not recommend. The loaded fries were oily soggy fries topped with a huge amount of sweet sautéed onions and fresh tomatoes. It was simply tasteless and rather bad. I wouldn't recommend this either. The barbacoa half of the torta was good, chicken was mediocre at best. All the tables were dirty, you have to clean them yourselves if you want to sit there and eat. I've been getting the OMG Pork tacos for years, it's always been my go-to. However recently I guess they changed the recipe? The pork used to have a little more spice and flavor and the portions used to overflow out the tortilla (obviously in a good way), the garnish used to be a very generous amount of shredded carrots and daikon radish (added a bit of sweetness) and a solid drizzle of their spicy mayo or whatever the sauce is. The ones I got tonight were still decent to be fair, but they're not what they once were. Pork tasted kind of bland and they don't do the daikon anymore? Or if they do they don't use as much as before. When I used to eat them the spice from the meat and the sauce would tingle my mouth, almost burn in a good way and the radish would add sweetness. Their elotes is pretty good as well. The staff are always nice and the service is quick. This place is great for lunch and dinner when craving Tacos. The line can be long sometimes. Terrible customer service. That's how bad this location was that my first sentence started with their inability to treat customers accordingly. Been to the shacks before and had never tried OMG tacos. Got order taken by this immature guy with glasses that had a crappy attitude when trying to order our food(with my family) closed the window shut on us, in abruptly and didn't have any business being in the restaurant or food industry. Charged me for one extra taco, and realized he did and when I mentioned it he seemed upset that I would tell him about it. Had a Mexican accent when speaking Spanish(I'm also Hispanic) so when you see him at the window just remember the terrible attitude you will be served with. They have the Biriia tacos advertised as available Wednesday - Friday from 11 AM until sold out. The 1st day they did not advertise "until sold out", we found that out after driving all the way up there. Now today Friday 3/8 my husband go up there at 12 pm all the way from McKinney only to find out it's "sold out!"
