I saw this place as I was walking and it smelled so good so we stopped and I am glad we did. It was the best slice of cheese pizza I have ever had. It was prefect. The crust wasn't too thin which I liked. The only thing was there was not a big seating area so this was more of a grab and go spot but I didn't mind. Definitely recommend!

Their pizza is so good. It's located right in Penn Station. Whenever I hit the city, I am sure to stop here on my way home even if I'm not hungry. I'll eat it the next day and throw it in the air fryer. No place to sit but the pizza is phenomenal.

Grabbed a couple of slices before hitting the train to New Jersey. Got a square and a round slice both were good. You pick them what you want from a pan they take them and reheat them in the oven. Super thin the way I like them. Sauce was good not to sweet. Had Coke which is a good thing.

I always grab a slice or two here when I come through Penn Station. The guys who work here are friendly and service is super duper fast. It's fairly representative of NYC pizza, with a crispy-chewy crust that's neither too thin nor too thick/doughy, nice sauce, good amount of cheese, and plenty of toppings. If this is the first NY slice you experience when you step off the train, you could do a lot worse. I usually get a combo slice of sorts which costs $6 including tax. A bit expensive but that's transit hub pricing for ya.

This woman who works as the cashier is so rude. She won't let you take time to choose what to eat.

I'm only putting 5 stars so people see this but in reality it's a 1 star. I was looking for a pizza spot near the Nj transit and I came across Don Pepi pizza. In the past the restaurant is fast paced and the service is decent but now the female cashier is so rude. My bf and I were trying to decide what to eat and she wouldn't stop rushing us. Then I felt so rushed either she misheard or I accidently ordered 2 sodas instead of 1. She wouldn't give us a refund and made it seem like it was my fault. I tried talking to her politely that she kept on rushing us and it's not nice and she was like : too bad. I tried talking to the coworker that she has a bad attitude with customers but no one would speak to her or anything. I left very upset that they let her treat her customers so poorly.

So, getting good food from a train station? I'll usually pass. Sure, a krispy Kreme doughnut? A overpriced quick egg sandwich? But pizza ? well the answer is surprising a big yes. Enter Don Pepi Pizza located in Penn Station. Going to Don Pepi you can expect a various level of busy depending on what is happening at the nearby Madison square garden or depending on rush hour since people stop buy to buy a slice while waiting for their trains. Its always pretty quick, however. They turn pies and slices over quick. They have small tables to sit but you will notice a lot of people devouring their slices standing near their counters and moving on. What I like the best is that the establishment is so small you can see the cooks making the pizza right where you are ordering from. They are literally making pies fresh over and over throughout the day and you can witness it. This prevents you getting old slices that has been sitting around for hours. Now, the pizza. They have a variety of slices, but I stuck with a large cheese (around 25 dollars). The pizza is great. Great crust, okay sauce and great cheese. The cheese is not too much (where is slides around while hot) and not too little as not noticing it. The crust which is the star (and rightfully so) is crispy enough to hold toppings without collapsing, but soft and chewy enough to be more than a transport of the sauce and cheese. The ends of the pizza crust are delicious. Some crusts are too crispy for me to be enjoyable. And are cracker crisp. For my personal taste, Don Pepi has almost perfect New York style crust. Don pepi location is perfect also. For travelers coming into NYC, even if its for a hot second, Don Pepis gives you a great taste of a NYC pizza that it isn't just a tourist trap. In fact, I would come here again for pizza regardless of me needing to be in Penn station for travel, it's really that good. I been thinking about how to sum up Don Pepis and I have come up with it's the perfect pizza that you will forget about almost immediately after eating. And that's not a bad thing.

    2 slice combo...

Stopped by for a couple of slices while waiting for our train... The employees were friendly and the pizza was pretty good as well, the only problem was that we took a seat at the counter to eat our slices and we were approached by numerous people asking for money. My fiancé actually gave his pizza to a woman who said she was hungry. I mean I do feel bad for anyone who is in need but after he gave the pizza away a man then approached and when we said we couldn't help him out with any money he got rather aggressive and started saying all kinds of rude things... I couldn't wait to get out of there... Now I know this isn't the businesses fault but it really puts their patrons in an uncomfortable situation.

One of the best pizza spots in NYC. Their cheese slice never disappoints. A little pricy, but what do you expect? It's in Penn Station.

The arancini was a standout: perfectly crisp on the outside, creamy inside, and served with a rich, delicious sauce that tied it all together. We ended on the tiramisu, which was absolutely worth saving room. It was light, flavorful, and a perfect finish to the meal. What really elevated the experience, though, was the staff. Everyone was genuinely kind and helpful--especially notable for New York--and it made the whole evening feel relaxed and welcoming. A small heads-up: it's a bit tricky to find, so give yourself extra time. That said, the hidden, underground subway setting is part of the charm and makes the whole experience feel unique. I'd love to see more restaurants creatively use these kinds of spaces in the future.

It is located right in the hallway of a subway entrance, next to a bar and across from a coffee shop, and it somehow manages to feel like a cozy, sit-down restaurant right in the middle of NYC. Don't let the odd location fool you, the food here is outstanding. The Neapolitan and Sicilian-style pizzas are both exceptional, with rich, well-balanced flavors and perfectly executed crusts. Every bite tastes high quality. Also, don't skip the house-made lemonade! The experience is even better because of the incredibly friendly and attentive staff. They were all so kind to so many people. From offering to keep leftovers in the fridge until a customer was done at their broadway show, to offering a scone to a young child while he and his father waited for their pizza to be done, it was more than just flipping a table and onto the next tip, it was humanity at its best. Be sure to give See No Evil Pizza a try. You certainly will want to come back again for more.
