Looking for a menudo place and we found this place on yelp! Good reviews and good pics that made us wanna try it out! The outside area is a little shady but that didn't stop us from going in and trying the food!! The breakfast, brunch and variety of good dishes on the menu are great! As soon as you come in you have to order before you sit down which I don't like because that stops me from ordering a desert or something else because you have to pay right away. And you have to top in advance which I don't do until I see how the service was. The customer service lacks some smiles and welcoming ambiance, work in that because Mexico does have a welcoming vibe in their restaurants, I know you are in Texas but you are selling Mexican food so smile and welcome your clients! Let's see how the food is now! I ordered a menudo (large) which had too much liquid and not enough meat and grain. The taste was good but the portion in reality is not large with all the liquid. Also ordered chilaquiles half red and half green, not spicy but flavor was good. A little kick would be good, make it great! The portion is huge and with the perfectly made sunny side up eggs!!! I was amazed not anyone can make eggs this way!! Yolky and not burned corners!! Let me tell you about the cafe de olla!!! Bomb!!! Perfect!!! Hot and cold both are tasty!! Takes me back to Mexico. The ambiance is calm and relaxed, it gets busy but enough parking and space inside. I would come here again if I couldn't find another menudo spot, but does need more grano and less liquid

This small spot caught my eye on my way to a soccer game, and since I had a little extra time, I decided to stop by -- and it did not disappoint! As soon as you walk in, the place feels cozy and welcoming. While ordering, I mentioned it was my first time there, and the staff took the time to explain the menu and share their recommendations -- all of which sounded amazing. I ended up trying the green chilaquiles, and they were fantastic! The salsa had just the right amount, making every bite full of flavor. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, and I really appreciated how quickly they cleaned up after guests -- the whole place stayed spotless. I also tried the bacon taco and the croissant sandwich, and both were delicious. This spot has officially become one of my new breakfast favorites. I can't wait to be back on this side of town for another soccer game just so I can stop by again!

The food here is so good! I almost do not want to leave the review in fear of it becoming so busy and then not being able to enjoy it here! But seriously y'all the food is authentic Mexican sopes, huaraches, caldos. OMG! Their coffee is great! It's truly a hidden gem. The service is great! The food comes out fast. My hubby had the huevos albañil and they were so good! The place is in a little shopping strip. I don't like to judge but...its not very attractive. I let other reviews lead me here. It was delicious! The inside is modern Mexicano style. Mosaic tile tables like my grandma's old table in Mexico. Love it! The menu is on the wall like a modern day restaurant. Enjoy!

Huitlacoche quesadilla very good too

We ordered to go some tamales and wipe. By the time we got back to the office and realized the sope which was described on their website as blue corn tortilla was not as it got described. And it's quite small for $5.50 The tamales now are 1/2 of the size which was used to be and prices got increase. The food was not as good as it used to be. I don't think I would be back anymore

This. Is the scrambled breakfast plate. You have a few choices of what you want mixed. Always fresh and hot. This breakfast plate is $8.50.

This place is a great little spot that can easily be passed up off of Stellalink next to a laundry mat. The food was good but was a little pricey, $10.50 for juevos rancheros. But if you're in the area and are hungry for some good mexican food def. gotta make a stop. Next time I'll have to try the tamales.

Red enchiladas plate & I added the avocado myself.

This is authentic Mexican food, not Tex-Mex. Unlike Tex-Mex, a lot of the various regional foods in Mexico are mild by comparison. The seasonings are subtle, but there. They don't jump out at you, you have to savor each bite for what it is. I must admit I miss a good hot salsa or pico, so I scrounged around the fridge and found some asian chile paste and made do. I had the Red enchiladas plate for take out, as it was the only beef enchilada offered on the menu, and it was good, not greasy at all, and that goes for the two sides of rice and beans. This is a walk up to the counter and order your meal type place, and the service was efficient, although a friendly smile would have been nice, but that's just me. This is a Mom & Pop place, very clean and utilitarian. Don't get turned off by the run down looking small strip center its located in, just walk in the door and enjoy some great, fairly priced Mexican food, with obvious family pride presiding over the whole operation. I'll be back! I want to try their tamales and the Huevos Divorciados. Wish they offered Caldo de Res . . . my favorite!! I've included a couple of photos, including an up to date (May 2024) Menu with prices!

The food was great! The corn tortillas are homemade. The closest to my grandmothers cooking I've tasted in a while.

The Thai restaurant feels like an old house that has been converted. My friend got the chicken pad Thai and I got the pad wonton (crispy pad Thai) with pork. We both got medium spice as well. The pad wonton is more saucy, which is a little acidic and fish sauce like? It coats the crispy wonton noodle but doesn't overly drench it. The pork is pretty tender and there's a perfect amount of crunch of the peanuts and onions as well. Honestly the crispy noodles are pretty good but I would still prefer the original pad Thai version. My friends dish was good as well, the chicken had a bit of smoke to it which was nice.

Atmosphere is casual, service…read moreis friendly, the vibe is definitely Viking (and from what I have heard, it's really popping during brunch!). We came on. Friday after work during happy hour and the prices could not be beat, especially with their lobster bites (was sitting at about $30, and we got them half off!) Drinks were fantastic! I selected the "Golden Cadillac" that comes with a miniature bottle of Grand Marnier inside of it. Very good. My company decided on an array of appetizers for his "main course", while I went with their Fried Salmon (served with Mac and cheese, and collard greens). Omg! So tasty! The pepper was prevalent throughout, but it did not over power the flavor! I make collard greens at home (and learned from one of the best), and even I found theirs to be pretty good! My company selected fried ribs, along with the lobster bites, and crawfish queso dip, and their wings! I tasted what he got, and we both agreed that the wings were "off the chart" delicious with a beautiful straight off the grill smoky flavor! So good that he got another order to go! Lol. What made our experience there amazing was our server Ray (Rajean = think "the 90's TV Show "Living Single"..."smooches"!)...she was the best!! From her hello, to walking us through the menu (as first-timers), her recommendations, her energy, her smile, and her being very relatable. Loved her! My only gripe was the bathrooms, the ladies room needed attention (and could use a spruce all around). It doesn't help that it is a bit small, but yeah, they need to focus some efforts on ensuring it's upkeep. As for seating and parking, there is a bar area and limited seating toward the front of the restaurant, but it does extend to back of the house with additional seating. There is also patio seating as well. Because this place seems popular, it is best to reserve ahead to ensure your seating. Parking is very limited! They do however, offer valet (but at $20+). There is off-street parking, but be careful since this is a residential area and nothing is secure. All in all, I really had a great time and left with my belly full! Definitely worth checking out! What was lost is now found! Enjoy!

Well the host came and said "go to the front & I can help you there". Cool. We get seated and given a menu. The menu was dirty, sticky, and over all filthy. We moved inside to the bar and asked a waitress "can you let the bartender know we are here, we think she went to the back for something". The waitress looked at us and said " oh, she know y'all here. She gone come". Instead of letting her know we moved to the bar. Anywho, Bunny took great care us. She literally made our experience go from 1 to a high 8. Ask for Bunnnyyy at the bar!!! Nice music playing. Minus the bugs on the patio (love bug season in tx) and long wait on the patio, the ambiance wouldve been great outside..... Service needs a bit of tweaking, food was good, Bunny was amazing. Maybe seasoning them a little more, cutting them in halves, and charring them would've done the job. Peach cobbler was so yummy. I loveeeee how they have offer for preferences with the peach cobbler (more crust, more filling, or neutral) because I personally love more crust. Kool aid was good but could stand to be just a tad bit less sweet with more flavor. All in all if you have a catfish craving and want good vibes and service I'd 1000% endorse this spot.

We also got the "Tiradito de Hamachi" crudo, which was fresh and delicious! For the entree, my friend and I shared the tacos (which comes with your choice of 3). We added an extra taco to make it 4. I was genuinely shocked that the mushroom taco ended up being my favorite because I almost always prefer meat, but it was THAT good. The fried shrimp taco was also amazing. For dessert, we got the tres leches cake. I'm usually not a huge fan of strawberry or fruit toppings on desserts, but the cake itself was really, really good. I ended up just removing the strawberries and eating the cake, which was moist and flavorful. The only downside for me was the drinks. They looked larger than they actually were because of the glassware, and they tasted a little watered down. I had two, and they just weren't very strong or super flavorful.
