The Breakfast was above my expectations. The assistant that put out the food never stopped moving. If he was not refilling the food he had the dining area spotless. This is not on the staff. You need a sign that says,do not fill your personal water at the drink station. I watch an Adult drink from the rim of his water jug then stick the drink dispenser nozzle completely in his jug after he had been putting it to his mouth. I just shake my head at people anymore and the act like they are doing nothing wrong. Great stay. Not so smart residents

I stayed at this Hampton Inn several years ago. It was nice then. It no longer is…read more I was going to rate this the worst Hilton I ever stayed at but Yelp just reminded me of a worse experience at another hotel. What is particularly bad is the bathroom. The fans don't work and you get steam trapped in the room, which leads to mildew in all the corners of the tub and peeling paint on the ceiling. The tubs have an anti-slip bottom that doesn't quite get clean and now looks permanently stained and dirty. The rest of the room is standard Hampton Inn. However, because of the fan issue in the bathroom, the room easily becomes humid. So, you need to run the AC and thus the room stays cold. Note that we had two rooms because the woman working hotel reception admitted her incompetence and said she didn't know how to out me in the larger room for the first night. We had the same bathroom fan issues in both rooms and in our daughter's room.

Vicki and her staff are so friendly and knowledgeable about the area. We had a delicious breakfast each morning with coffee and wonderful conversation with other guests. The library was so interesting with the painted shades, historical information, photos and books. We stayed in the Adeline Room which is upstairs. Bed was comfy and a clawfoot tub in the bathroom. Close to everything we wanted to see on the National Park adventure. Quick walk to the Brandywine Falls as well. Great time, loved staying here and definitely would be back!

We felt truly spoiled and catered to, and it was such a comfort to stay in such a wonderful place during an otherwise sad and difficult time. All the staff were so accommodating. It was wonderful also that the Inn is located at the edge of the Cuyahoga Valley Natural Recreation Area - it was wonderful to take a short hike or just enjoy the scenery and wildlife. The room was absolutely charming and met all of our needs for the stay. It was so nice to wake up and look out on the wildlife. And it's not just for 'good' weather. During our stay, it rained, it snowed, the sun shone, storms passed over. It was a delightful stay throughout and we were so glad we were there! During all the weather, it was an absolutely beautiful place to be. We were always plenty comfortable - nice and cool on the day it reached the mid-70s, and plenty warm on the day it dropped into the 30s! If you are not sure you want to stay at this B&B - do it. Before booking, we priced standard 'hotels' which also included breakfast. The price differential was minimal, but the difference in our experience was beyond compare. This is now our 'go to' spot to stay whenever we are in Northeastern Ohio.

I will never forget her name because she really did make our stay 100 times better. Evelyn is one of the best employees they have, she takes her job serious and makes customer satisfaction her top priority. Meanwhile Lory was really non pleasant and just the complete opposite. Lory said she didnt know how to get the locks opened and we had to wait until Evelyn came in to be able to acess our room. Not only that, we had to switch rooms since the lock wasnt working and Evelyn helped us move to our new room and our daughters absolutely loved her. She even brought them candy bars and really made our stay better. Our family is absolutely grateful for Evelyn and we absolutely loved having her as staff. Thats the type of people that hotel need.

The door had been broken down at one point and the man at the front desk had admitted there had been police action required in that room just a few weeks prior. The curtain was hung up with some twine because it had been broken. The place was absolutely disgusting so we demanded a refund. They did say they would honor our refund. Only to find out they recharged us again. Dangerous and scammers at the front desk I would not recommend staying here.

The front desk person was rude, cut me off about 5 different times while I was talking, and I am almost 99% sure someone staying in the building taped the door open to let whoever they want in, which is scary. Like others said, there are cigarette burns on the sheets and the bed, holes and stains prominently all over the walls, the AC doesn't work, and the hallways somehow smell like cold cuts. The only thing I could recommend visiting this hotel is a wrecking ball.

So I have a TV but it doesn't get any reception. I just use it to watch DVDs. I wanted to watch the…read moreNFL conference finals games but I barely know anyone into football and thanks to that rascally 'Rona bars and restaurants are carry out only in Michigan. So I decided to take a weekend road trip. Maybe I'd find a B Dubs or something to watch the games. Maybe I'd just watch em in a cheap hotel room. Either way I did feel like getting out of dodge for a minute. I never took a vacation last year beyond day trips to Toledo and up to the Thumb to go swim in Lake Huron. And I'd seen a lot of pics on Instagram of people living it up far from home enjoying that stimmy and enhanced unemployment money. I originally wanted to go to Buffalo to see drunk jackasses do flying piledrivers into folding tables. And I say drunk jackasses in the most respectful way possible; I was #BillsMafia til the KC juggernaut ended their season. But NY COVID travel regulations put the kibosh on that. So I settled on Cleveland. This Super 8 put me up for a couple nights. It was quiet and nondescript. The location between Cleveland and Akron was convenient as I had things I wanted to see in both places. They were out of singles but doubles were the same price. Less than $110 for two nights wasn't bad at all. Check in was quick, the room was clean and most important the TV was in working order. The AC unit by the window had a heater too and though the room was slightly chilly whenever I got in it got it nice and toasty fairly quickly. My only real complaint is my access card was temperamental. It didn't want to work on the back or side doors and the back lot is where most of the parking is here. I could also look out my second floor window if I wanted to check on my vehicle if it was in that lot. And on the afternoon of my second night it didn't want to get that green light to go on in the door of room 212 when I climbed the stairs with Thai carry out in hand to watch some Concussion Ball. I had to go back down to the front desk to get my card juiced up for the second night. The clerk did this quickly so it was just a small inconvenience. It was nothing exotic but I did enjoy my short stay in Bizarro Detroit, getting lots of pics of similar but different modern urban ruins in the snowy splendor. And this hotel did it's job, not making too much of an impression on me either way - and that's not a bad thing.
