Unknown dried substance on motel blanket.

We stopped due to poor weather all other hotels in the area were fully booked. The price was reasonable but the room left a lot to be desired. One sheet had what appeared to be dried blood on it. The blanket had what I can only hope was mud on the top seam. In addition there was a chip on the bathroom floor. When checking out the cashier tried to dismiss us with out a receipt. There is no way I could recommend stopping here if given a choice.

Needed a place to stay near Cleveland so that I could return a rent-a-car early in the morning. One note, the motel location does not give the visitor many options for meals unless you are prepared to travel. The pluses: air con worked extremely well on a very hot +90 F day; the office clerk was very friendly; the rooms are not carpeted so you don't have to worry about bugs; loved the flat screen, and the rooms are well insulated from the freeway noise.

Best motel this side of the Mississippi! It looks like they maybe have done some renovations but it was a very cozy stay.

There were large spiderwebs on everything. And the exterior doors were unlocked 24/7. The room smelled like 20 year old dust and air freshener trying to be soap, but failing. The bathroom door had blood or poop or makeup smeared all over it. We weren't interested in checking closely. There was still soap from the last guest stuck to the counter. And the toilet had to be flushed three times to get even liquids down. There was an abandoned key card in the room, so clearly thurough cleaning between guests is off the table. The lights flickered all night. The window was duct taped and stuck closed. We had to open the window to air out the dust and mildew smell to stop my asthma attack, and it took two adults 20 minutes. This was the "fire saftey" window, btw. Glad we didn't have to pry it open while burning to death. The "privacy frost" on the window looked like something out of a horror movie. And whenever we asked for anything at the front desk we were barked at with no eye contact while being waved in the general direction of where to go. There was no coffee or ice or water available on our entire side of the building. We had to walk clear to the opposite end for the single ice machine available. The bed was horrible. Flat, hard, no box spring, and you could feel every spring in the mattress. I would only recommend this hotel if you are fleeing federal marshals, or you are an elderly couple looking for a quiet place to commit double suicide. Side note. Booking this hotel; the website says Quality Inn. The building says Quality Inn. The sign says Quality Inn. So I don't know if the images in this page are photoshopped or just old. But this is definitely the Quality Inn that is listed as "clossed" in another listing.

The Breakfast was above my expectations. The assistant that put out the food never stopped moving. If he was not refilling the food he had the dining area spotless. This is not on the staff. You need a sign that says,do not fill your personal water at the drink station. I watch an Adult drink from the rim of his water jug then stick the drink dispenser nozzle completely in his jug after he had been putting it to his mouth. I just shake my head at people anymore and the act like they are doing nothing wrong. Great stay. Not so smart residents

I stayed at this Hampton Inn several years ago. It was nice then. It no longer is…read more I was going to rate this the worst Hilton I ever stayed at but Yelp just reminded me of a worse experience at another hotel. What is particularly bad is the bathroom. The fans don't work and you get steam trapped in the room, which leads to mildew in all the corners of the tub and peeling paint on the ceiling. The tubs have an anti-slip bottom that doesn't quite get clean and now looks permanently stained and dirty. The rest of the room is standard Hampton Inn. However, because of the fan issue in the bathroom, the room easily becomes humid. So, you need to run the AC and thus the room stays cold. Note that we had two rooms because the woman working hotel reception admitted her incompetence and said she didn't know how to out me in the larger room for the first night. We had the same bathroom fan issues in both rooms and in our daughter's room.

There is an indoor pool and hot tub, jungle gym/play area, indoor mini golf course, and arcade in the old Holidome, and the rooms are pretty basic. The best part of my room was, oddly, the bathroom. While the tub drained really poorly and I was standing in a pool of water by the end (though it did go away after I turned off the shower), the bathroom has a proper vent fan. I have been to a decent number of hotels this year alone, and none of them had a fan. You need a fan in the hotel bathroom, so bonus points awarded. It also had one of those light up defogging heated mirrors. But limited outlets in the room, and linoleum rather than carpeting, though that is probably also a net positive. The front desk staff are friendly. There is loads of parking. And breakfast is OK, but they have bagels and coffee, and there were some oranges so I was mostly content. Please note - I go to this property with a large group and we book the entire hotel, so I can't speak to noisy people in the halls/pool area because that was kind of part of the experience and "we" were the noisy people.....

Because we had our front door locked and dead bolted maintenance had to come up and use a wire hanger to open the pool side door. Then, our key cards kept deactivating even though they were not near a cell phone (as the front desk suggested). I have NEVER had this kind of issue at a hotel. The layout was really cool and it was fun playing in the arcade area. It's just the door situation that ruined things.

The front desk person was rude, cut me off about 5 different times while I was talking, and I am almost 99% sure someone staying in the building taped the door open to let whoever they want in, which is scary. Like others said, there are cigarette burns on the sheets and the bed, holes and stains prominently all over the walls, the AC doesn't work, and the hallways somehow smell like cold cuts. The only thing I could recommend visiting this hotel is a wrecking ball.

So I have a TV but it doesn't get any reception. I just use it to watch DVDs. I wanted to watch the…read moreNFL conference finals games but I barely know anyone into football and thanks to that rascally 'Rona bars and restaurants are carry out only in Michigan. So I decided to take a weekend road trip. Maybe I'd find a B Dubs or something to watch the games. Maybe I'd just watch em in a cheap hotel room. Either way I did feel like getting out of dodge for a minute. I never took a vacation last year beyond day trips to Toledo and up to the Thumb to go swim in Lake Huron. And I'd seen a lot of pics on Instagram of people living it up far from home enjoying that stimmy and enhanced unemployment money. I originally wanted to go to Buffalo to see drunk jackasses do flying piledrivers into folding tables. And I say drunk jackasses in the most respectful way possible; I was #BillsMafia til the KC juggernaut ended their season. But NY COVID travel regulations put the kibosh on that. So I settled on Cleveland. This Super 8 put me up for a couple nights. It was quiet and nondescript. The location between Cleveland and Akron was convenient as I had things I wanted to see in both places. They were out of singles but doubles were the same price. Less than $110 for two nights wasn't bad at all. Check in was quick, the room was clean and most important the TV was in working order. The AC unit by the window had a heater too and though the room was slightly chilly whenever I got in it got it nice and toasty fairly quickly. My only real complaint is my access card was temperamental. It didn't want to work on the back or side doors and the back lot is where most of the parking is here. I could also look out my second floor window if I wanted to check on my vehicle if it was in that lot. And on the afternoon of my second night it didn't want to get that green light to go on in the door of room 212 when I climbed the stairs with Thai carry out in hand to watch some Concussion Ball. I had to go back down to the front desk to get my card juiced up for the second night. The clerk did this quickly so it was just a small inconvenience. It was nothing exotic but I did enjoy my short stay in Bizarro Detroit, getting lots of pics of similar but different modern urban ruins in the snowy splendor. And this hotel did it's job, not making too much of an impression on me either way - and that's not a bad thing.

We felt truly spoiled and catered to, and it was such a comfort to stay in such a wonderful place during an otherwise sad and difficult time. All the staff were so accommodating. It was wonderful also that the Inn is located at the edge of the Cuyahoga Valley Natural Recreation Area - it was wonderful to take a short hike or just enjoy the scenery and wildlife. The room was absolutely charming and met all of our needs for the stay. It was so nice to wake up and look out on the wildlife. And it's not just for 'good' weather. During our stay, it rained, it snowed, the sun shone, storms passed over. It was a delightful stay throughout and we were so glad we were there! During all the weather, it was an absolutely beautiful place to be. We were always plenty comfortable - nice and cool on the day it reached the mid-70s, and plenty warm on the day it dropped into the 30s! If you are not sure you want to stay at this B&B - do it. Before booking, we priced standard 'hotels' which also included breakfast. The price differential was minimal, but the difference in our experience was beyond compare. This is now our 'go to' spot to stay whenever we are in Northeastern Ohio.
