Due to an impending lawsuit, my lawyer says I can't talk about the purpose of my stay at Motel 6. However, I am allowed to talk about some specifics of my stay that I feel speaks a number on this motel and would be beneficial to anyone else who is interested in staying here, so here it goes: Location wise, Motel 6 is great. I knew I needed to be near an interstate highway in case everything went wrong and I needed to get out of dodge, and this Motel 6 was in a good location to fit that need. The cop presence allowed me to get my tasks done without the threat of getting busted and the close proximity to the park also added to the location benefits. I was able to get a room on the ground level. I liked being able to have my car right next to my room. It made it easier to take the things that were in my trunk and put them in my room for safe keepings. I wasn't to keen on what felt like an extraneous amount of security cameras but I was able to move my stuff fast enough that it doesn't matter. My "lotion guy" Slippery Pete also liked the parking lot size as he was able to back his large, unmarked van into a spot with plenty of room on both sides. The room was a good size. The door had adequate locks on it and when I wedged a chair underneath the doorknob made the room impenetrable from the outside (even when Slippery Pete tried kicking the door down, he couldn't). The beds were inconspicuous and perfect for filming. The screws on the vent grille came off easily and the vent had plenty of storage space for hiding things. The towels were absorbent and cleaned up all the fluids. The bathrooms were clean. Once the case is over, I do plan on staying here again. Not for "business reasons" but strictly for "pleasure". Five stars. read more

The owners of this hotel did nothing to help a military family driving cross country after their cat was trapped in the walls of their hotel room. The cat got in the wall due to a faulty cover to plumbing. The cat was stuck for nearly three days! A local woman heard what had happened and took it upon herself to help this family. She had to rent a room to set a trap. This experience went viral throughout Northeast Ohio and the many people involved in animal rescue. Again - the owners refused to help - they ignored calls from this heartbroken family. I would rather sleep in my car than stay at this filthy place with the worst management who also owns the Holiday Inn Express in Richfield, Oh. read more

We were looking for a simple quick stay for our e night. My family checked in and upon entering the room we could see how dirty it was but the worst was see a roach my the window. The door had been broken down at one point and the man at the front desk had admitted there had been police action required in that room just a few weeks prior. The curtain was hung up with some twine because it had been broken. The place was absolutely disgusting so we demanded a refund. They did say they would honor our refund. Only to find out they recharged us again. Dangerous and scammers at the front desk I would not recommend staying here. read more

We were looked out of our room for a while. First shift seems like they don't know what they are doing. We had to wait until second shift comes in so we can get into our room. I will never forget her name because she really did make our stay 100 times better. Evelyn is one of the best employees they have, she takes her job serious and makes customer satisfaction her top priority. Meanwhile Lory was really non pleasant and just the complete opposite. Lory said she didnt know how to get the locks opened and we had to wait until Evelyn came in to be able to acess our room. Not only that, we had to switch rooms since the lock wasnt working and Evelyn helped us move to our new room and our daughters absolutely loved her. She even brought them candy bars and really made our stay better. Our family is absolutely grateful for Evelyn and we absolutely loved having her as staff. Thats the type of people that hotel need. read more

Motel.6 in richfield is the worst motel I ever stayed. I highly recommend that u don't stay there.frist of all the manager described against me just because my soonto be husband works at wendys in the poliet.the manger said someone use to stay at his motel that worked for wendys and threw out t he micrwave so just because one person had a problems .that means all people are bad that's like saying if one dog bites u there all bad that's a lie u can't go around judging people because of where they work or because of what someone else does.s second I am a good person and I let a 3 mouth old baby stay in my room for one night and the manger thread to kick me so I had them leave right after the manger saw them leave the cops went into the office and left.serverl hours later at 8pm at night the cops knocked on my door and yelled well check .I thought that odd the cops knew they were not there butt yet the manger called them claiming he was concerned about the baby what it was is I let the people that stayed leave there bel9ngs in my room so they wount have to drag with them they had the baby and there dog and there 80 year old dad with them.so because they left there stuff and the manger Tony which is the gm if motel 6 in richfield he pushed they would be back so he called the cops using the baby well check bs as a excuse just to check if they wetetbere so he could kick me out.sothe next day I saw Tony and apologized for letting the people stay and he was very shady to me.plys I found he was giving people weekly rates for the room for a lady name Alisha and her husband richfield butt when I asked him for a weekly rate he said he count do it that the best deal I was gonna get wast threw expidea. MOTEL 6 Richfield, OH The young Indian girl that works at the front desk, Bennie, she's just the most utterly and irritatingly STUPID person I've ever met!!! She's a complete MORON who has a horrible habit of constantly rolling her eyes at guests, I guess in hopes of trying desperately to portray herself as being a super intelligent person, when she knows the truth is she has no more intellect than that of a single cell amoeba... It's just hysterical to watch her thinking she has bested you when the entire time YOU are playing HER! Our bathroom was stopped up (toilet, shower, sink) for over a WEEK and still was up to the time we checked out!!! And this is a handicapped room for my legally handicapped wife! We stayed there for 2 months and the first time roto-rooter came out and did it. But shortly thereafter it happened AGAIN and Bennie, being such a complete RETARD kept insisting it was our fault for a blockage UNDER A CONCRETE SLAB. She said they can't keep paying to get this done, then purposefully kept LYING to me, telling me she would take care of it again, when I knew and she knew she had and NEVER had any intention of fixing it again, convincing her own DUMB ASS this was some kind of way our fault just because it stopped up again, even though I told her I'm a retired 40 year MASTER REPAIR PLUMBER!!! Laughably she was thinking to herself how "smart" she was and what a "great job" she did saving money and having revenge on me by FORCING us to live in a room with NO facilities and refusing to give us another room. That's how RETARDED she is, as if us leaving will stop them from having to unclog it again, like, HELLO, what do you think is going to happen when the NEXT guests check in MORON????? SMH in disbelief someone so stupid could really exist in life. Us CHECKING out is not going to CURE the problem you simpleton...what an IGNORAMUS!!! LMAO!! What Bennie did NOT know as she rolled her eyes and acted like I was the idiot, is I was RECORDING all of our interactions together about not being able to use the bathroom as she came right out and said she did not care we had to use the bathroom at the PILOT next door because "she cannot keep paying Roto-Rooter to snake out the main line" Have you ever heard of something more ridiculous in your entire life???? NO!!!! Forcing handicapped guests to use the bathroom at a truck stop!!!! WOW!!! Yes people that stupid do in fact exist. Yes I have it all recorded! To see such people firsthand, go visit Bennie the Bitch at Motel 6 in Richfield Ohio. So now, because of her dumbfounded actions she has single handedly opened up a MAJOR ADA lawsuit against Motel 6 and I will gladly pursue this matter if for no other reason then to see her get FIRED at the way she treats her guests! I cannot POSSIBLY imagine why she has not been fired yet anyway as when I mentioned at check out I would be making an official complaint and seeking a lawsuit, she then offered to take me into her room and for a small "fee" we could commit certain "acts" together??Ummmmm, NO WAY in the world I would consider such a horrid thing!!! Thinking of it alone just made me nauseous... But that kind of risqué behavior cannot POSSIBLY take place without upper management being aware as I'm sure it's not the first time she offered to do such things with a guest!!!! Of course when you're running a DRUGGIE motel, maybe such things like Bennie performing favors for guests are a normal thing, I just don't know!!! Motel 6 NEEDS TO FIRE HER ON THE SPOT!!! She is going to cost them MILLIONS!!!! read more

Great Value, Fantastic Staff. This is more of a review of the treatment I always receive here. I travel for work, and from my first stay here about 10 years ago the staff has been outstanding. I'm always recognized, greeted with a genuine smile, and they make sure I'm happy. It is a basic motel, a little older, but clean and safe. The rooms have flat screens and the internet is very fast, I think they recently upgraded it. I work in the room and no issues. If you want clean, comfortable and a great staff, this is the place. read more

This hotel is so dirty, they might as well have chickens running around in the lobby! The room was smoked in and comforter had a melted burn hole ( non-smoking room) ! Got a refund read more

The worst experience of my life. Staff was rude and made us wait an hour and a half for our room to be cleaned. After we finally got in our room and got settled, we realized the door would not lock. They knew about the problem from the day before and did not let us know about it. They did not have another room for us to stay in and wouldn't let us stay at a sister hotel for the same price. The place was an absolute dump and smelled like cigarettes everywhere. We saw cops drive by several times while we were there for 2 hours. Do not stay here!!! read more

We stopped due to poor weather all other hotels in the area were fully booked. The price was reasonable but the room left a lot to be desired. One sheet had what appeared to be dried blood on it. The blanket had what I can only hope was mud on the top seam. In addition there was a chip on the bathroom floor. When checking out the cashier tried to dismiss us with out a receipt. There is no way I could recommend stopping here if given a choice. read more

Don't let the exterior of this Motel 6 scare you away. The rooms have been very recently renovated and are actually quite nice. Instead of the ratty carpets that places like this usually have, they had redone our room with that flooring that looks like wood, but is waterproof. They also have very modern furniture, and a much nicer TV than I would've expected. At the end of the day, we're talking about a Motel 6 in Richfield, Ohio; not the Gansevoort. It's really nice for a Motel 6, though; and probably would've been an OK value at twicewhat we paid. They also allow dogs, which is the reason we stayed there. read more

For a Motel 6, this was a nice little find. The key is that this seems to be a family-owned hotel. Were there strange stains on the towels? Yepper. HOWEVER ... they also take dogs. For free. No questions asked. If I find a large old stain on a towel, I'm gonna assume it's leftover from a muddy dog walk -- and not the soulcrushing evil of some gross dude's poop chute. We all need hope in our lives, folks. The wifi was free, the shower was hot (with fantastic water pressure!), and the housekeeper met me at my door in the morning with a beaming smile. I would definitely come back. read more

Was inexpensive, but hard to get to. Have to drive through holiday inn to get to it. And a lot of noise and screaming most of the night, slamming doors. And when I said something the next day, they acted like it was no big deal. Her exact words were well they are only here one night. Well so we're we, and we had been driving for 2 days and still had a full days drive ahead of us. Definitely not ever staying here again, and would never recommend it read more

Needed a place to stay near Cleveland so that I could return a rent-a-car early in the morning. One note, the motel location does not give the visitor many options for meals unless you are prepared to travel. The pluses: air con worked extremely well on a very hot +90 F day; the office clerk was very friendly; the rooms are not carpeted so you don't have to worry about bugs; loved the flat screen, and the rooms are well insulated from the freeway noise. read more

My reservation was for a Two Full bed room, I have documentation of that via email from the website. The room was for myself and my teen daughter, hence the need for two beds. Per the website, it asked for number of adults which I answered "1" since it did not ask for number of children. The manager of the facility took it upon himself to change my reservation to a "1 King" room due to being fully booked and another patron arrived before me needing a double room. Since he saw only one adult, he decided to give me the 1 king room, leaving no doubles available. When I arrived at the hotel, he lied and told me that I must have made a mistake on my reservation and that I reserved a "1 king." I went out to my car and retrieved my reservation paperwork and proved him wrong, at which time he admitted what occurred. He then, begrudgingly, agreed to put me up at the Holiday Inn in a double bed room across the parking lot that he also manages. My friend's room reservation was fine - he needed only a single king bed. The room was sparse in its' decor, which is fine but the laminate tiles on the floor were applied poorly and are starting to peel and pop, causing tripping hazards. read more

Wow! I am very impressed with this Motel 6, the new renovations look great and the staff is so friendly. Can't beat the price, either! It ended up being $47 total for 2 adults and our doggy after a coupon we found at a rest area. I just want to take the towel rack home with me haha so cool! read more

My reservation was OK, and overall the hotel was as advertised. There was a quick check in and check out. The room was clean and looked just like the pictures. One small issue was the lack of toiletries. The only toiletry in the room is soap, so if you need shampoo during your stay, you better bring your own. My main issue is my bill. I booked the hotel through Expedia and prepaid. When I checked in, the manager swiped my credit card. I told him that it was already prepaid, but he said that the charge would disappear when we left. At check out, the charge was still there. I brought it up to the manager again, and he assured me the charge would be gone. Two days later, it was still there. I had to go through the bank to get the charged removed. This should not happen. If you decide to stay here, make sure they don't try and double charge you if you prepay. read more

This is a no-frills motel, but the hotel owner (he's fantastic) and staff go above and beyond to make my stay comfortable and easy. I have been staying here the majority of the week for 2 months traveling between Columbus and Cleveland. It is conveniently right next to the highway and a very affordable value. I highly recommend this place. read more

This is a great little motel. It's clean, with recently renovated rooms in a modern style and no bedbugs (apparently Ohio is the bedbug capital of the US!). They allow dogs (with no extra fee) and there's a nice little area to walk your dog - it even has a picnic table and a grill. It's a great deal - we paid around $60/night for two adults, a baby, and a dog. We will definitely stay here again - it's the perfect place to stop when driving on the 80 through Ohio. read more

Ii have never enjoyed motels, however after seeing how Motel 6 is Re-Branding itself. I decided to give it a try. And NO I WONT AGAIN!!!! The room was newly renovated, the stairs to get there were a construction nightmare. The comforter, sheets and lines had stains all over them. Te bed frame has a weird substance smeared all over it. We were in the room for 16 minuets before getting a refund. read more

Cheap room compared to others in area. (Money and comfort). Its ok if u need a bed and a small tv only. Check the lock on your room door when you close it. Mine would not lock. When leaving to the car or dinner, you pull door shut, it would not lock the electric key lock. Push on door it comes right open. I kept the room. I was to tired to change rooms and you can use the deadbolt from inside. The A/C works well. The beds were ok, seen worse. Inside room was livable just not fancy. Shower was ok. Going to the jacuzzi? Well, we did. Then straight to the showers. Lots of small bugs floating in water. Water was not that hot. Ok for some. Need a good laugh ? Try the weight room. 3 pieces of equipment. Probably from the early 80"s and covered in dust. All this sits in a tiny room with very dim lights. Now the pool room, with jacuzzi, whoooa. Think ive seen it in a horror movie? Look up and looks like a 8 x 10 ft section of ceiling is ready to crash down on you. Most of the cement around pool area is broken in pieces. Little bit scary. But, inspite of all this, it was all pretty clean and staff was pretty nice. Free coffee in morning. Bring your own Danish. No coffee maker in room, no fridge, no breakfast in morning. But there was a full pot of coffee. Mexican restaurant next door. About 13.00 for avg meal. But food was very good. (Except chips. Probably store bought). On a tight budget stay here, can afford a little more, try something else). 1 more plus, they are pet friendly with no extra charge. read more

I suffer from a lot of allergies and cannot tolerate carpeting. I found the newly decorated Motel 6 in Richfield , Ohio the best place for me to stay and I enjoyed the excellent coffee in the morning and dealing with this family run business was a pleasure. I had a reservation at Motel 6 in Richfield Ohio for last evening, January 15, 2017. This has to be the most unclean Motel 6 I have ever stayed in, right from walking into the office to register, to entering my hotel room. Windows are filthy, outside carpets are stained, the room smelled like VERY old cigarette butts, the sheets don't fit the beds, the towel rod was falling off the wall, the door wouldn't close tight - I can go on and on. Having brought dinner with me, I sat at the table in the room and ate, but simply couldn't take it any more. I didn't even mess up the bed - I only laid on top of it and determined there was no way I was sleeping all night on that thing. I gathered up my belongings and left. I wasn't there an hour. And no, I did not go back to the office. The gentleman behind the counter was very hard to understand. He did not speak clear English. I simply left. read more

Had the unfortunate opportunity to stay here on our way elsewhere & really wish we didn't. The woman checking us in was upset about doing her job, but it was 10p so whatever. The room itself was disgusting. Yep, that's the word. Pretty sure the sheets haven't been laundered since the last 3 guests stayed here. The floor had dust bunnies everywhere, not just the normal spots (you know, under the bed, in corners, against the headboard. There was plenty of dust & old receipts & other garbage where one of the headboards should have been). The bathroom smelled like sewage. The toilet handle was broken off (rusted right off ) so everytime we had to flush the toilet we had to remove the back & pull the stopper chain thing. The smoke detector's battery was running low so it kept beeping until it died, about 4 hours into the night, so that was a plus. We did not have any bugs (probably because they knew this was a f*#ked up room to be in). I would not recommend staying here, sleep in your car @ a rest stop, it'd be sooo much better! read more

This is a horrible hotel! The entrance is very close to the highway, yet the sign is not visible from the road. The clerk was rude and barely understood or spoke english. The clerk refused to honor my Hotels.com guaranteed, paid for reservation, even though I had documentation, including payment and confirmation. He charged me for a room. Breakfast was to be included, but didn't even provide coffee. Towels are like sandpaper, they don't provide anything but soap in the room, so if you stay, don't forget your shampoo, kleenex, and hairdryer. The bed is horribly uncomfortable. read more

It's not much to look at outside, hidden behind the Holiday Inn. I was actually expecting a crappy room but I was surprised. It looks recently remodeled and was all modern. No bells and whistles though. Not even a coffee pot or an alarm clock in the room. The cable stinks there are only 15 channels if that (I didn't count). No extra fee for our dog. 3 stars because of cleanliness. There was bare floors in our room. Looks like wood but my guess is that it is linoleum that looks like it. I took a shower and then was walking around the room barefoot. In twenty minutes the bottoms of my feet were black. They could leave more than two towels in the bathroom also. read more

this place is absolutely disgusting. we stopped late at night in the midst of a long road trip in need of a place to stay. the man at the front desk didn't take my credit card nor swiped anything, just wrote down the number and all my information and gave me a key. the room was dimly lit and the beds weren't supported by a bed spring; just a mattress on a piece of wood. the bathroom floor was gross and the shower was more mold than tile. washed my face in the morning with what felt like chlorine. i felt like bugs were crawling on me all night long and could hear everything in the rooms around me. absolutely disgusting and do not recommend this to any sane human being. i have 5 years of taken off my life and god knows what fumes were coming out of the air vent. read more

Best motel this side of the Mississippi! It looks like they maybe have done some renovations but it was a very cozy stay.

Clean and modern rooms tucked away behind a Holiday Inn Express & Suites. It's cheap and does the job when it comes to crashing for a night on the road. We were also allowed to use the pool, spa and fitness room in the Holiday Inn for free! Wifi was really bad, however - our only complaint! Would definitely stay again. read more

Stayed here in the middle of a long road trip and we had a terrible experience. The room looked recently remodeled but part of the laminate flooring was already coming up and the tub in the bathroom was worn and dingy, we didn't decide to use the shower/tub. Cleanliness also left a lot to be desired, the blankets and sheets both has stains and also random hairs once the covers were pulled back and the floors weren't swept. Well behaved pets do get to stay for free so that's a bonus and the front desk attendant was very nice but we won't be staying here again and we'll probably avoid Motel 6 after this stay. There are other hotels in Richfield and even another in the same parking lot so I would recommend checking one of those out first. read more
