Not a bad motel, clean for the most part, and for a low budget or economical room there's nothing to really complain about

The Breakfast was above my expectations. The assistant that put out the food never stopped moving. If he was not refilling the food he had the dining area spotless. This is not on the staff. You need a sign that says,do not fill your personal water at the drink station. I watch an Adult drink from the rim of his water jug then stick the drink dispenser nozzle completely in his jug after he had been putting it to his mouth. I just shake my head at people anymore and the act like they are doing nothing wrong. Great stay. Not so smart residents

It no longer is…read more I was going to rate this the worst Hilton I ever stayed at but Yelp just reminded me of a worse experience at another hotel. What is particularly bad is the bathroom. The fans don't work and you get steam trapped in the room, which leads to mildew in all the corners of the tub and peeling paint on the ceiling. The tubs have an anti-slip bottom that doesn't quite get clean and now looks permanently stained and dirty. The rest of the room is standard Hampton Inn. However, because of the fan issue in the bathroom, the room easily becomes humid. So, you need to run the AC and thus the room stays cold. Note that we had two rooms because the woman working hotel reception admitted her incompetence and said she didn't know how to out me in the larger room for the first night. We had the same bathroom fan issues in both rooms and in our daughter's room.

Vicki and her staff are so friendly and knowledgeable about the area. We had a delicious breakfast each morning with coffee and wonderful conversation with other guests. The library was so interesting with the painted shades, historical information, photos and books. We stayed in the Adeline Room which is upstairs. Bed was comfy and a clawfoot tub in the bathroom. Close to everything we wanted to see on the National Park adventure. Quick walk to the Brandywine Falls as well. Great time, loved staying here and definitely would be back!

We felt truly spoiled and catered to, and it was such a comfort to stay in such a wonderful place during an otherwise sad and difficult time. All the staff were so accommodating. It was wonderful also that the Inn is located at the edge of the Cuyahoga Valley Natural Recreation Area - it was wonderful to take a short hike or just enjoy the scenery and wildlife. The room was absolutely charming and met all of our needs for the stay. It was so nice to wake up and look out on the wildlife. And it's not just for 'good' weather. During our stay, it rained, it snowed, the sun shone, storms passed over. It was a delightful stay throughout and we were so glad we were there! During all the weather, it was an absolutely beautiful place to be. We were always plenty comfortable - nice and cool on the day it reached the mid-70s, and plenty warm on the day it dropped into the 30s! If you are not sure you want to stay at this B&B - do it. Before booking, we priced standard 'hotels' which also included breakfast. The price differential was minimal, but the difference in our experience was beyond compare. This is now our 'go to' spot to stay whenever we are in Northeastern Ohio.

The sausages have the texture of a rubber ball and no taste. The bacon is so thin and cooked that if you drop it on the plate, it literally breaks. I am not joking, try it. Eggs vary back and forth between scrambled (decent) and "omelet", which is basically a folded over scramble with some kind of Cheese Whiz. I was happy for the scrambled days. I grabbed a ham and egg croissant and disassembled in order to reposition the items, only to find that the ham was gray. I went to pick up an orange and my fingers sank into mushy mold on the bottom. My last morning I arrived at around 9a and there was about a forkful of eggs left, no bacon or sausage. Pretty disappointing for $149 room night (which, what??). The room was rundown and shabby. The bed is scarcely softer than an ironing board wrapped in a sleeping bag. It was impossible to find a way to be comfortable or stay asleep for longer than a couple hours. The loveseat is so run down that only by sitting in the middle are you not tilted to one side or the other. I've attached photos of the light fixture in the bathroom, the stovetop, and the windows for your perusal. Overall, I would have switched hotels after the first virtually sleepless night if it wasn't for lack of availability in the area I needed to stay. I am still sore from the bed and tired from the lack of sleep. I cannot believe the rate was increased by $30 for my final night. Should have moved to the car. Stay at the Comfort Inn Suites down the street. It's in need of updates, but at least the beds are comfortable.

The breakfast area was clean, and while a bit smaller than other breakfasts we've had at other similarly priced hotels, it was good and was kept-up well with guests coming and going. The downside that we found was that our room in particular, while it was obviously "cleaned", smelled severely of wet ash tray. It reminded me of walking into a chain-smoking family member's living room. It was bad enough that we walked down to ask the front desk if we possibly got the wrong room, since we thought we were getting a non-smoking room. Unfortunately, the worker at the desk could care less. Apparently, all rooms are non-smoking now...but yet, ours had the overwhelming smell of smoke. Otherwise, we found the beds to be comfortable, and our bathroom was clean. As a side note regarding the bathroom--I found it rather odd that there were no vents or exhaust fans for the bathroom. This was a little weird to us that you couldn't turn on the fan to exhaust the steam from the shower, nor could you use it to exhaust other "fumes" when someone was using the bathroom. When you have a family staying in a room, that last part is pretty important.... Personally, my family and I will probably NOT willingly return to this hotel because of the smoke-issue and lack of concern over what we experienced there. The majority of staff that interacted with us were very short with us, and seemed to not want to be bothered...even when asking for recommendations on local restaurants or places to visit. Need a quick, overnight stay? Sure, this could work for you. But, for a few days-stay...I would be choosing somewhere else.

Any hoo, this place has plenty of parking, there's a great deal of things to do in the area. Inside the hotel is lack luster to say the least. Especially when you get to your hotel room. I had a room with water jets in the bath tub to kind of make up up for the place not having a pool / spa but it didn't work. What else didn't work were any of the plugs and their mangled USB ports. The beds were cozy sure. The worst part about my stay was for breakfast. Their food was minimal and not just that, it was really bad. Even so awful that other guests were complaining about it. All in all, I probably wouldn't come back here.
