The staff was very friendly and accommodating for our group. The room was barely big enough. I liked the adjoining rooms but they needed doorknobs on the interior. The balcony was a nice surprise--even with my view of the highway. The bathroom was disappointing, especially the non-draining tubs that made me cringe to take a shower. I also couldn't figure out why the toilet was crammed in the corner. The sink was too small and the lighting was too dim. read more

Front desk staff, Bobby in particular, & our bartender & chef, Heather, was amazing!!

The hotel was convenient, although it is in need of a remodel. It's next to a freeway, so you get car noise. The loud AC unit will drown it out. There was a dip in the bathtub. You have to kick at the water, so it doesn't pool in the middle. There was also a loose tile in the bathroom. The bed was comfortable though, and I slept well. The place did its job. read more

Used to satay here quite a bit about 8 years ago. They haven't kept up with it well. It's kinda ran down for a Marriott brand hotel. It's not what I would expect. Small TVs and just really worn. I won't be back. read more

Not a bad stay, but not the best either. Upon first glance, the front lobby, and back sitting area are beautiful! Such a nice and bright entrance along with very friendly staff! When I entered my room though, the first thing I noticed was a long piece of brown/blonde hair on my bright white comforter. I was instantly grossed out, because that is truly one of my biggest pet peeves. I began unpacking a bit and went to the restroom, only to find dirty floor tiles. Now, I was truly grossed out. Was my comforter switched out? Was my floor mopped? I really wasn't sure, but I didn't bother to complain. As for breakfast, I paid $16.50 for a bottle of water, fried potatoes and a cheese and bacon omelet. To be honest, I would have preferred a free breakfast with cheaper quality. I wasn't too impressed. read more

Stayed here for four nights. Very nice place! The hotel is decorated very modern. There is a very cute courtyard to sit on with a pretty pond. The view of the countryside is beautiful. The room we had was a suite with a king bed and a fold out couch in the living room. The bathroom was huge. The fold out bed was not the most comfortable in the world, I would know since I was the one sleeping there. The air conditioner worked great, which was very important with all the humidity in Ohio. The staff was overly friendly and helpful. They offered breakfast every morning for I think $8.95 - my parents ate there every day. I would mosey down later in the morning and get coffee, for free! They had to go cups which was very convenient in the mornings when we wanted to leave. My dad booked and paid for the room, but I am almost positive it was less than $100 a night. If I were to ever visit Ohio again, I would definitely stay here. read more

Started out a 5 with the friendly Check-in service with the young lady closing down her shift when we came in after 9pm. The store is very small and limited. And the bistro has special hours of operation. The rooms are basic and okay. Nothing to write about or recommend. Actually needs a remodel or a lot of love. There was dark hair about 4" long and straight all over the bathroom floor, tub, and toilet so I wiped it all down with a towel. This would have knocked it to 3 stars. Check out is at NOON. But yet I had housekeeping walk in TWO times even though I had the do NOT DISTURB sign out. First time at 11am and 2nd time at 11:30am while I was in the shower!!!!! F'en annoying! We will never stay here again when there's 3-4 other options next door and across the street! I would give a zero if I could. However, the 3 ladies at the bistro one morning and the young lady that checked us in do deserve this star. read more

THIS IS A TRUE WARNING. LOOK AT THE PICTURES. I was in town for a wedding Friday-Monday, 9/23-26/2022. Typically upon check-in, I thoroughly check my room #221. However, due to rehearsals, family meetings & greets, etc, I just checked-in and commenced with the wedding schedule. Due to the fact that I've been in hotel mgmt for over 10 years, I am always considerate of the housekeeping department. In turn, Mon 9/26/22 after showering, I removed all of the linen and made sure all dirty laundry is in a pile. Upon pulling the linen from the beds, I was disgusted and appalled. I immediately called to the front desk and requested for mgmt to come to my room, it was approximately 730amish. The desk agent informed me that there wasn't a MOD on property but as soon as the GM arrived she would inform him of my request. I went to the desk 2xs, the 1st time I showed my pics and video to the agent and she was very apologetic. While standing there the GM Steve Patris walked in. I introduced myself and told him I would come back once he was settled in. I came back down around 10:30-10:45ish. I begin to explain to Steve how I felt and I allowed him to review the pictures & video footage. He apologized and said he would give me points. I informed him that I wasn't a Marriott member, in turn I prefer to get 1 night stay refunded. He stated he couldn't do that and thar he would give me 50% refund of 1 night stay. I informed him that, that wasn't suffice. I then asked him to put himself in my shoes and inquired what would he want. He didn't answer the question. I again reiterated that 50% wasn't suffice and I preferred a 1 night stay refund of $119+ tax. He said he couldn't do that because he needed to analyze the situation. I said well I requested for you to come to my room. I then said we can go now. He didn't move. I then informed him that facts don't lie. The room was despicable. So I inquired again, as a GM you're telling me that you, as the GENERAL MANAGER of the hotel can't refund me a 1 night stay. He said no. I then asked for his boss information. He then passed me a sticky note that he had ALREADY written Marriott's customer service number on. I was like wow, so you were prepared not to help me. After going back and forth with each other for another 5 minutes, I just ended the conversation and he said have a good day ma'am. read more

Good, clean hotel located in Stow, Ohio, not far from Cuyahoga Valley National Park. My sister had her reception at Happy Days Lodge inside the Park and this Courtyard Marriott was where she had her hotel block. All in all, I had an enjoyable experience. I was actually selected as the "Guest of the Day" and was notified upon arrival! Who knew they even did such a thing! The Guest of the Day gets free breakfast the next day, a room upgrade and additional Marriott Bonvoy points. I was excited, but then told that there were no rooms available for an upgrade, so that I'd get an additional 2,000 points. Kinda bummed about that, but still was excited to get the free breakfast. They have basic hotel amenities (small outdoor patio, hair dryer, Paul Mitchell hair products). My boyfriend and I sat on the patio at night before we went to bed. This hotel is located near a highway and although we heard a lot of cars whizzing by when we were on the patio, there was no issue when sleeping (although I do like to use a white noise app!). The breakfast the next morning was very good. Made in their little cafe in the lobby. Much better than typical Cafe food and the presentation was excellent. It was odd though because they told us it was only for one guest (my boyfriend came with me but wasn't on the reservation, so maybe that's why?). But it honestly didn't matter because the associate told us that we got three entrees. I actually think she was mistaken because there is no reason why they'd give three breakfast entrees to one person. I am wondering if they normally get one option out of the three headings (eggs, bagel, smoothie, etc). We ended up ordering oatmeal, scrambled eggs with potatoes and an acai bowl. I was very impressed with the presentation of my oatmeal. It had nuts and bananas on it and tasted great. My boyfriend liked his eggs and potatoes. I could have done without the arugula salad it comes with (seems out of place). But I had some of his potatoes and they were really good! We actually never got our acai bowl and we decided not to ask for it again because we felt like we shouldn't have been offered three breakfast items to begin with. We were just happy that we each got a free breakfast and drink! Lastly, I am going to have to call Marriott because my stay has since been posted to my Bonvoy account and it didn't add the points I should have received from being the guest of the day as well as the additional points I should have received due to the no room upgrade. Hoping they can support me with that! All in all, I enjoyed being the guest of the day here. It's a decent spot to stay when you're traveling near the Park! read more

My friends and I take an annual trip to Akron , OH each June. We stumbled upon this hotel in 2013 and had such a great experience, we vowed to come back and stay here each year. We made our reservation well in advance and were looking forward to our stay. Linda from the front desk made an impression on us last year and we were disappointed she was on vacation when we came in (maybe we made an impression on her too haha). The guys at the front desk were friendly, competent and even added discounts for us we forgot to mention ahead of time. I was just really impressed with the professionalism and friendliness by all staff, even the guys working on the remodel. Even while the place was under construction, we were never inconvenienced. Our room was gorgeous and the decor was very modern yet warm and relaxing. Everything was very clean and well maintained. We didn't have time to utilize the indoor pool or hot tub or gym, but that was all very nicely kept as well. Since there was remodeling going on, we lounged in the front desk area which was also the make shift bar. We had great time laughing with staff. The outdoor courtyard is pretty with a stone path and a sweet little waterfall and pond. My only complaint is I wish there was a bigger area outside to hang out, but we sure made do. We will be booking this wonderful hotel again next year and look forward to the finished renovations. Rooms were very clean, updated and everything feels new! read more

We were visiting the Cleveland area. Decided to stay in Stow as it was closer to friends. This hotel was a great pick. The lobby is very modern. Small front desk area which includes a small market to grab a snack or essentials. The lobby also features a cafe / bar. While we didn't visit the cafe / bar, the menu had a variety of breakfast items (sandwiches, Starbucks coffee) and a selection of beer and mixed drinks. There was also a large sitting area - where people were watching the Cleveland Cavaliers on a large screen TV - as well as a business area. The rooms were very nice and clean with space for all of your stuff. While our room did not have a patio, they looked very nice as an option to sit outside with a drink. The area has several restaurants and pubs in the area. You'll definitely find an option to eat. When we arrived back after a dinner out, the parking lot was full. According to the signs, they were hosting a family reunion. While there was obviously a crowd, we didn't hear them. I'd definitely recommend a stay here. read more

This hotel entices brides-to-be with offers too good to be true as they want these brides to book a block of rooms with them by making promises of a free wedding suite and a free shuttle to and from the event in an effort to get their guests business. Extra hours can be purchased but don't expect the bus to show up! they decide when the shuttle arrives forcing guests to leave the wedding an hour early or be stranded. When the bus driver allowed me to talk to the dispatcher on his own phone about this mistake, they promised to be back at the actual end time so they didn't have to have all the guests leave the event early. This was nice to hear and I went back in to enjoy the wedding. 11 pm rolled around and you probably guessed it, the dispatcher lied and the shuttle did not come back! I know because I was waiting at the door a few minutes before 11! Myself and many guests had to scramble to find rides from a venue that's in the middle of the cvnp.. yea not many Ubers out that way! When I finally returned to the hotel, I saw David hotel employee being beyond rude to the bride absolutely ruining her wedding night and embarrassing her in front of her guests. It's appalling how he spoke to her and I can't believe he has a job in customer service since he had no intentions of providing good service or trying to help her, his attitude obviously got the best of him and he should have been fired on the spot for how immature and unprofessional he acted. This poor couple got douped by the Marriott and it's a wedding night they will always remember. But at least Marriott conned them ahead of time since they got plenty of their guests business !!! I will be canceling my bonvoy membership, credit card and sharing this story with anyone I know! read more

We just used the Courtyard by Marriott Akron Stow for our out of town guests for our wedding! Ewa and her staff were so gracious to us and our guests! The made changing our original date so easy and our guests really enjoyed themselves! The small touches, wedding guest shuttle and great communication made working with them so easy! I highly recommend using them for any upcoming weddings in the area! 10/10 read more

A $60 bid on priceline for a 3 star landed me at the Courtyard by Marriott in Stow. They must have been eager to fill rooms- there were only about a dozen guests at the hotel when we stayed. This is a new, clean, solid hotel. The staff was friendly- even perky - upon our arrival. Given the slow business, they gave us their full attention. The kids got coloring sheets & a wristband, and we were granted every request. We have small kids, and so we were delighted to find a Chick-Fil-A only 4 miles away. It was family night, and they had a playplace. Perfect. Along the way, we also saw Chipotle, Panera, Starbucks, Texas Roadhouse Grill, and other nice restaurant options. I read the reviews on TripAdvisor, and called ahead to request a westside room (facing the parking lot, not Route 8). Our entire family slept well on the comfy beds. They provided a pack and play for our toddler. This Courtyard has an indoor pool and whirlpool, as well as an exercise room. Come prepared with swimsuits. The diner-esque breakfast is $9 per person ($5 per kid), and given your other restaurant options nearby, it's not worth the cost. We enjoyed our experience here. We might be back. read more

I had a great stay here when I went to a concert. The lobby is amazing and so modern. The little cafe is so cute and offers a great breakfast. My room was pretty standard but you can tell these guys pay attention to details when cleaning. Not to mention the staff is amazing! The front desk team was so helpful when I needed more towels or advice on what to do. Thanks and great job! read more

Very clean, nice place. Not amazing, but still nice. The lobby is super fancy, so one would think the rooms would be as well. Simple rooms, but bed was comfy and soft. The king room with sofa bed room was nice, staff was pleasant and the room was serviced and cleaned nicely daily. There is a mini fridge in the room, Kureg and blow dryer. The pool is indoor, but we missed out on the jacuzzi as the jets were broken when we were there. There is no complimentary breakfast, but they have a small dining area in which you can pay for light breakfast, lunch or dinner items and wine/beer. They have a gym with 3 cardio machines and a rack of free weights. I would have liked for the staff to have provided us with a room on the other side of the building away from the freeway, especially since we stayed for a week. The freeway is close and is noisy. read more

I stayed in the "honeymoon suite" the night before and the day of my wedding. It was not really a suite at all. There was a separate living room with a long countertop and two sinks in the bathroom. That's about it. Not worth over $400 at all. When I told the front desk that my sister-in-law's regular room was nicer than my suite and half the price, I was told they were fully booked. I understand that isn't their fault, but they could have done SOMETHING. I paid extra to have something a little extra for my wedding night and was super dissatisfied. The two stars are because the evening staff was extremely friendly (Yanna and Brandi), and the breakfast was good. The standard room at a different hotel I stayed at the following nights was a fraction of the price and way nicer. I would definitely not stay here again or recommend, especially for your wedding night. read more

Customer facing service is good and the hotel is a Courtyard. However, I received my credit card bill and found that the hotel had charged for an extra day (an additional $137) compared to the statement given to me when I checked out. I called on a Thursday - and had to call three other times. I finally received a return call on the following Thursday AT 5:30 IN THE MORNING which woke up my family. I told the caller I would be able to talk at a decent hour. I called later and again had to leave a message and wait to have that call returned. When he called, "Tom" curtly offered to credit my account - very little by way of apology. My suggestion? If you stay here, you will want to keep your closing statement, as it may not match your credit card statement. (Is this some kind of trick, or are they simply unorganized?) And, if there is an error on their part, it may take several days to get a response or resolution. read more

Our stay started out nicely, however on the second day, after housekeeping cleaned my room, I got back to my room and I realized my many of my prized, expensive rings to be missing. After searching every centimeter of the room with no luck, I went to speak with the front desk. The attendant denied any wrong doing and refused to do anything to help me recover my missing items. I left angry and disappointed, not only because my expensive rings were taken, but because I had no cooperation from the managers. I am VERY displeased with my hotel stay- for any of those who chose to stay here, do NOT leave any valuable possessions in your room, even if you are in a rush. read more
