I'd recommend hiring Dom's Tree Service to anyone. When I called the office someone answered took my info and Dom contacted me back directly within 30 minutes. We set up an appointment for him to come by to give us an estimate. We had our neighbor's large white oak tree trimmed back from hitting our house and hanging over our driveway. Dom explained exactly what the workers would do and how they cared about the health of the tree along with doing an attractive job of cutting it so it didn't look like sloppy. The crew showed up as promised at 8:15am to begin working. They were all professional and friendly. It also made me very happy to see the owner, Dom, show up to supervise and instruct. It's nice knowing that Dom is involved and not just an owner who sells you and then sends a crew you never met before. The trimming was efficient and done safely. The used a blower to clean up which was much appreciated. My neighbor was also extremely happy with how the work was performed. So rude and reckless. Contracted by the parks department so they dont care about the local residents and businesses they impact. They showed up in the middle of our cafe service and we told them no one informed us of this work, that our patio was full and we didnt have enough space to move all the guests indoors [which Isaiah confirmed as he came into the cafe], I told them we could shut down the patio around 3pm (about an hour later) as this would affect our guests. He said he would speak with him manager and I asked him to come get me after they spoke. Instead of having a conversation and finding a resolution, they fired up the chainsaws and started hacking away at branches directly over our guests- even though they clearly knew it was a risk. Our guests had to run out of the way as they have zero concerns for the guests under the tree Even the staff of Dom's said to us "I told them not to do it" when they saw us recording. I also asked one of the workers actively cutting down limbs to grab a manager now, but they didn't care what I had to say and completely ignored us. We called their manager, who was so wildly rude and said 'well we put a no parking sign up and its common sense if you know how gravity works'. Why would a no parking sign down the block from me have anything to do with guests sitting on our patio?! So incredibly rude and aggressive- and truly do not care about safety! read more

Queens (unfortunately) hired this company to trim the trees lining the streets and they are a NIGHTMARE. They put up "Do Not Park" signs last week to stop residents from parking under the trees they would be cutting (great!); however, they didn't come until the following week because of "rain" (it rained 1 out of the 3 days they were supposed to work). They decided to trim the trees without warning, with cars parked on the side of the street. To my surprise, my windshield was cracked because a branch they cut fell on it. I immediately called their office, to let them know and made a plan to have their windshield guy to come and replace it three days later. I took off work the day he was supposed to come so that I can be there to help, and after calling the super multiple times to see when this was happening - I was told their were "scheduling conflicts". (I had a family emergency I had to get to as well and their super told me "we all have family emergencies"). I called the office to get their insurance information so that I can file a claim through my insurance so I didn't have to deal with them flaking on me again, and the woman answering the phones/head of payroll rudely started accusing me of making a false claim and that I was "lucky" they were replacing my windshield, and that she (payroll czar) looked at the pictures I sent and there's no reason I couldn't drive two and a half hours upstate (while pregnant) to a family emergency (it's illegal to drive with a crack larger than 12 inches in NY). These people are rude, flakey, and don't care about the damage they cause. DO NOT WORK WITH THEM!!!!!! read more

Your company is over pruning some of the street trees in Woodhaven, Queens by removing 50% of the branches on some of the smaller trees and lion tailing some branches. Branches are being thrown to the ground haphazardly, sometimes striking nearby cars, the roofs of houses, knocking loose overhead wires, etc. Not impressed at all. read more

Extremely unprofessional, rude, and unsafe. Dom's tree service rep was yelling in people's faces threatening that he would not do his job unless we got into our vehicles and moved them WHILE a huge fallen tree was still on top. No regard for individual's safety and instructing us to directly put ourselves in danger. I would never recommend this company to anyone, it was a horrible experience all around. read more

Don's Tree Service did a rock solid job cutting back a number of overhanging limbs and branches. The crew was on time and very efficient, handling the work safely around wires as well. When the crew left, one would never know that they had removed so much from the neighboring canopy. I strongly recommend Dom's Tree Service. read more

5 STAR, for sure! Would highly recommend! I had 3 large trees removed from my yard. The guys were very professional and their teamwork was perfection. The trees were down in record time, the stumps were ground down until they were gone and my yard was left clean after raking and using a blower. Efficient, neat and excellent team work. Total crooks, not responsive, nasty, slobs, don't listen, STAY AWAY. After storm Sandy, Dom's tree service kept me waiting for two days to remove a neighbors tree that went through my roof. I couldnt repair the roof until the tree was removed. They never showed up. I called Frank Hefferin and he had the tree out in 45 minutes without destroying any surrounding landscaping. He left the 30 foot oak tree cut up on my front lawn. Dom's crew came by a few days later, drove up on my front lawn to steal the oak tree for their firewood business and did a burnout on my lawn, destroying my sprinkler system. Dom said he would have the system repaired but of course they did not. Six years later and I still cant get those tire marks out of my front lawn. They are total crooks and the villages and police can't seem to keep them under control. read more

Doms Tree Service was amazing !!! What a crew . They worked so hard and were so wonderful , this tree was very difficult - requiring a lot of coordination with other homeowners and they took care of all of it . Five stars hands down ....From the first phone call with a kind and helpful receptionist which lead to the owner contacting me personally. Then we arranged for a a free estimate, and the next thing I know the job was complete. All in the matter of days. The workers that came were professional, kind and did exactly what we asked for. Absolutely despicable service. They removed a tree stomp from in front of my property and completely destroyed the landscaping and left a mess. When I spoke to Dom the owner himself he told me that he didnt have to clean it because the city owns the property and that i can complain to the city if I want.
